Final Model for 104 project 3 Summary:

The idea was to create a form that could be held by either hand comfortably. So I started researching  grab-able ambidextrous objects. I decided to focus on joysticks and bike handles as they can be held by either hand and are used in everyday events. For my form I also added a little bit of psychological security. A "guard" above the middle and ring finger serves little utility but creates a good, secure feeling. It made it feel sturdy and protective while still being comfortable (you don't feel like you'll drop it. My form felt like it would slip  out of your hand before the "guard"). The same can be said for the thumb holders, although those are mostly there so they can obviously be seen as where your thumb should sit.

The form can also be held in multiple ways depending on the size of your hands, people with bigger hands would often rather leave their thumb out of the thumb holder. This is why I have made a slight gap in the thumb holder, so the holder can rest their thumb wherever they want.

I’m Posting each individual comic page so it has full quality.

My Main focus for this project was colours and expression, and to show expression through colour (and vice versa). I knew that i would be spending more time on drawing the comic than the coding side of the web comic. So I decided to employ a simplistic design for the website to make the comic stand out. Each new page has a slightly different colour scheme  to give a sense of progression throughout the story. It also helps portray emotions from the characters fluidly, while also heightening the specific emotion throughout the page or caption.

In order to make the emotive response interesting I had to pay close attention to the facial expressions and especially body language. exaggerated responses heighten the characters personalities when there is no actual movement involved. So every reaction i draw is exaggerated to a degree, sometimes to the point where i change art styles to REALLY get the idea across. Even if its a calm feeling. You might have noticed that the two main characters (or Only characters) are red and blue (i didn't decide on names so i refer to them as guy and lady) and speak in their respective colours. While the M8B (magic eight ball) has a purple respective colour, indicating that the magic eight ball is a created bond between characters, (if i had more time, i would have liked to delve more into the sentient M8B and the interactions between the characters that it has caused.

The Basic overview for the story is: guy is paranoid and often gets dragged unwillingly into random events. Lady is the one who often stumbles into these events. One day guy gets al little bit beat up, so the lady who is his hired bodyguard, over-reacts a little bit and rushes to the nearest hospital for medical supplies. the only object found missing was a seemingly worthless magic 8 ball. lady, once again donning her over-reactive tendencies rushes out to retrieve the worthless item. Unbeknownst to either of them however, the M8B does hold great value. In a way.
