The Nijiku clan are renowned Steel type users and as much as he tried, Zanka was never truly comfortable using the Hell Guard Academy’s training Pokemon. He wasn’t to even sure he was meant to become a trainer, he was struggling so much. That is until he accidentally grabbed a grass Pokémon’s ball instead of steel while doing some late night train and found a deep love for the typing.

But after Zanka’s unexpected shoulder injury in their senior year (rumor has it, the injury involved his father) and the teen’s complete withdrawal from high school and society, left Jabber fumbling to find even an ounce of enjoyment in the sport that was supposed to be their shared future
