⚔ Sincere, determined, and courageous. He has a strong camaraderie with the troops and is able to come up with creative battle plans. ⚔
He does, however, have one shortcoming… He often lets the excitement of battle get to his head. If you are ever deployed to the battlefield together, be sure to have a good rein on him when things get underway.

He'd interrupted Gorou's plans... somehow hearing that he'd interrupted everything makes him feel even more lousy, and Kazuha hadn't considered that angle. He's not sure what to do now. As much as he wants the comfort of having some he cares for close by, Kazuha doesn't want to stop Gorou from doing his actual duties, especially to Her Excellency.
Though, Kazuha doesn't even know how to get all the emotions out. "He's dead," he whispers. "Tomo is dead." His dull gaze lands on Gorou again, before reaching out for his hand, ready to let Gorou drag him to wherever they need to go. Maybe it's a good thing Kazuha's here. Maybe it's a good thing Gorou's plans are changing. It's something.
"I don't know what to do anymore." Gorou can be in charge for awhile. "Help me up?" He pleads, letting his eyes close. "I don't know if I can move on my own."
Eyes widened at Kazuha's confession. Of course, death was often inevitable in times of war and conflict - already there were losses among fellow soldiers that Gorou was grasping with, but to hear of Tomo's fate.. It twisted in his stomach, and squeezed at his heart.
He couldn't even begin to imagine the pain Kazuha was in..
"..I understand," he nodded, moving without any further delay to assist Kazuha to his feet, then next to pull his weight against him. "Lean on me and watch your step. If need be, once we're on solid ground, I will carry you myself.. You're alright now, just stay with me," and Gorou meant every word.
He would begin slowly, inching Kazuha out of the small space he had shoved himself into, around cargo and towards the ramp leading out of the ship. It didn't matter how slow or quickly they moved, the soldier's attention remained fixed to Kazuha, and how steady or unsteady his footsteps were.
Should he fall, Gorou was there to catch him.

"You know." Heizou grins as he approaches the general. Should he even be here? Doubtful, but he is a detective after all. Trailing behind him, looking rather sheepish, is Kazuha, holding a couple of parcels.
"It's rather rude of everyone to not inform me of a certain general's special day," Heizou continues. "Can you imagine the sleuthing I had to do in order to find out? Not even my dear friend, Kaedahara Kazuha would tell me. So, I took it upon myself to buy you gifts, because we're meant to be good friends moving forward." He smiles. "Happy birthday, General."
"He saw me buying gifts for you," Kazuha stage-whispers apologetically. "And wanted to come with me. I'm sorry."
Gorou turned quickly even before Heizou spoke, having heard their approaching footsteps, though he had initially assumed to come face-to-face with some soldiers trying to surprise him.
Although this was.. not the sort of surprise he was expecting.
"H-Huh? Doushin Shikanoin and.. Kazuha?" ears flattened back, at first concerned with the man's appearance along with his best friend. Was he here to cause some sort of trouble? But Kazuha was no longer a wanted man..
Then he saw the gifts, and his ears perked right back.
"Well, it.. it came as a surprise to me too but.. You didn't have to go out of your way for someone like me." One ear twitched, hearing Kazuha's apologetic whispers with a small hum. "..Alright, I guess I have no other choice but to accept. Do you.. expect me to open them here, or were you hoping for an invitation to my home in Bourou Village?"
She never pass up on giving for one's birthday, so there she is, with goodies from a previous trip to Fontaine she had.
"Oh, wow.. Thank you, miss--" Gorou couldn't stop his tail from wagging at the sight of all the gifts. "I'll be sure to distribute them fairly among my men. It wouldn't feel right of me to take all of this for myself."

"I think it'll do us both some good, to wander the city and see the sights." Even though Kazuha still has a lot of apprehension about going to Narukami Island, he'll do it to gently set Gorou straight. Or just laugh.
"You want to go?" Gorou's head tilted, as he was already well-aware of Kazuha's discomfort surrounding Narukami island. He couldn't blame him either, for the General always felt weird when traveling close to the old warzones as well..
"Well, while I'm not opposed to the idea as long as you're okay with it, at least promise me you'll speak up if you feel uncomfortable, okay? Your safety is my utmost concern over anything to do with the publishing house, Kazuha."
"I wonder love." Kazuha is holding a small fan to his face, wafting it back and forth to produce an extra breeze. "If you've been to Yae Publishing House recently." He's barely able to hide the smirk on his face as he turns the fan toward Gorou. "Have you seen that Miss Hina appears to be its mascot?"
"Huh?" Both ears perked up as Kazuha spoke, attention focused even as the fan was turned towards him.
"Miss Hina again? Wait, mascot? I-I haven't been to the publishing house lately.. Hmm, this could mean trouble if she ends up ahead of me. I told her excellency that I would do my best to stay ahead.."

"Swim? Ah.." The general paused for only a moment, hesitant to accept her offer, though he would inevitably give in.
"Sure," he nodded, approaching her offered hand, "I'll just make a note later to wash any salt out of my fur, so it doesn't become difficult to brush."
