Ranking Stygian Bosses from easiest to hardest (for my account)
10. Pipilpan Idol (post-Ineffa) - 97s
Ineffa absolutely trivialized this boss. I struggled so hard before getting her then once I got her and got her on a 2P/2P build with a lv 90 Battle of Fjords, it was child's play.
This was a difficult one for a lot of people but since I have a decently build Mualani, it was pretty easy. If I was better at playing Mualani, I might have been able to get a better record but I was still plenty happy with this one.
8. Fireblade Shock Trooper - 100s
I was a little worried about this one because I could not play Flins and Ineffa together due to needing Ineffa on my Drake team, but after getting used to Flins' rotation, it was still very easy. It did take a couple of runs though because I sometimes would die since my team has no sustain.
7. Lava Dragon Statue - 110s
What can I say? Kinich goes hard against this boss. My initial record was 114s but then I swapped PMC from Scroll to Tenacity since it's impossible to retrigger scroll in this set up and shaved off another 10 seconds. This was the first Stygian boss I beat on Fearless ever.
6. Aeonblight Drake - 110s
I thought this boss would be impossible for my account since I lack all the big DPS units but C6 Gaming really saved my ass here. Once I figured out how strong of a team comp overvape is against this boss and optimized the team a little, it was pretty easy. My average record is around 116-117s but I got one very nice run of just 110s.
5. Tenebrous Papilla - 115s
This boss had me ripping my hair out. I thought it would be a walk in the park with Kinich but I was so wrong... I'm big skill issue and struggle to get consistent 5 cannon shots but I got one super lucky run of 115s and then could not beat it again after that. I guess the stars alligned that one time.
I beat this one fairly easily with Kokomi - Kuki - Nahida - Furina but then had to reset to use Furina against the Drake. I attempted Alhaitham hyperbloom but couldn't get enough consistently seed procs so I swapped to double hydro instead with Nahida as the driver. My first clear was 119s but then I optimized it a little to get to 117s.
I have zero 5* Pyro carries on my account and this boss is the reason why I build my C6 Gaming afterwards. If I had him back then, this fight could have potentially been a lot easier. (Although I only got Citlali in 5.8 so I'm actually not sure). I was only able to do it after swapping Ororon to a full EM build and even then I just got very lucky with a good rotation.
2. Pipilpan Idol (pre-Ineffa) - 119s
This thing haunted me in my nightmares for a full week. It took 79 pulls on the Ineffa banner to finally get a C6 Fischl so I could beat it. Then I decided to all in and just get Ineffa as well (after losing my 50/50 of course). I did beat it once without Ineffa though but it was super close.
Oh boy. I thought this boss would be the easiest for my account since I have Shenhe AND Escoffier for my Wriothesley. I was so wrong...C0R0 Wriothesley is apparently still pretty weak even in this premium freeze team and with invested talents. I had to raise both Shenhe's and Escoffier's talents a bit more and get lucky with a good rotation. I also put Wrio on Neuvi's weapon (which I got at 1 pity going for Homa in 4.1) and crit fished a little on charged attacks.
That's it for my ranking. I'd be very curious to hear you guys' experiences! My account is somewhat unique in the sense that I didn't pull for a lot of the very popular DPS units like Neuvi, Arle, Mavuika, Varesa or Skirk.
