Naš znanec si je pred kratkim zaželel spletno stran za promoviranje prodaje starega pohištva, katerega lasti. Tako je nastala stran kjer lahko najdete staro pohištvo.

Na izbiro je različno pohištvo iz držav Zahodne Evrope. Od stolov, miz, zabojnikov, postelj in omar.

Zbirko si lahko tudi osebno ogledate v Kranju. Prepričan sem, da bo vsak našel, kakšen kos pohištva, kateri bo vzbudil vašo domišljijo in izrisal v vaših mislih starodavne monarhe in provincialno deželo v vsej svoji veličini. Morebiti se najde celo kakšen kos pohištva, kateri bo krasil vaš dom po ogledu zbirke :).

A year ago we started developing court reservation system for our first club - SC Dolgi Most. Currently over 20 sport centers use our booking solution. What have we learned so far?

Building a court booking system

Building a court booking system ain't easy. Clubs have very different types of booking constraints which yields to a lot of programming exercises to do it all right and that it still stays simple for the end user.

You have constraints based on: membership type, which day it is in the week, which hour in the day, which court the player can play on, how many days ahead one can book, how many reservations one can make etc.

So yes, it took us a while. 8 months exactly. Big thanks to all the sport centers that went through the process with us and are still happy to help us iron out the last bugs.

Looking abroad for new tennis clubs

Now with the system in place we search sport centers of 2nd generation. We're not quite sure how to go about that. We targeted US as the biggest market and our goal is to find at least 10 centers till the end of august who will be willing to try our court booking system out. We'll not disappoint them that we know :).

I believe that startup is always in one of the two phases. Programming phase or marketing phase. Currently we are entering the marketing phase. Each phase usually lasts around 2 months or less. Not that we stopped programming, god no. But the efforts are on the side of marketing so we can gather more feedback from tennis clubs for the next phase of programming.

In between we'll change especially our front page and some other stuff that will help us move up in the search engine results for court reservation system. We will further explore our beta co-player search. Up till now some 100 players have tried it out. That is around 2 percent of all active players. And we will probably do some improvements in the player-coach searching. Some 20 coaches said they would be interested if we promoted them.

Do razglasitve zmagovalcev nas loči še zadnje kolo, katerega bomo izjemoma odigrali v torek 28.5. Vabljeni vsi udeleženci letošnjega Univerzitetnega prvenstva v badmintonu VICTOR 12’/13’, da se udeležite zadnjega kola iger (ne le kot gledalci :) in podelitev nagrad za zmagovalce. Pričnemo standardno ob 15h, nato igralci poleg rednih odigrajo tudi čimveč zaostalih tekem. Vsi ostali lahko igrate s poljubnimi soigralci z možnostjo kreacije tekme za rating. Ob 16:45 sledi razglasitev zmagovalcev in podelitev nagrad.
