Summary:
This is the part, he thinks, where his atonement kicks in. He's escaped prosecution for the suffering he inflicted as a finalizer for Mercator. Naira has, impossibly, forgiven him for the fucking nightmare he became when they were together in the HCA. The cub no longer seems hell-bent on breaking his nose. He and Ayuba are something resembling friends. By all accounts, Fletcher has avoided facing a single consequence for his monstrous past. And yet.

Summary:
"That's it," Noel rasps, and he licks up the side of Fletcher's neck, catching a drop of sweat that was running from his jawline toward his sternal notch. "That's how you need it, huh? Knew when I saw you at that bar tonight, you needed someone to take care of you."
He did. He does. What would it mean, for someone to take care of Fletcher Demarco? Is it really just this—rough, drunk sex in an apartment he fucking hates, some poor mark's blood still drying on the bottom of his boots?
