Advanced Tech Meets Arcane Magic
It was some time in the afternoon, maybe two oâclock on a sunny day. Blaze had been in his lab looking at what appeared to be a dead tree and observing the effects of the hyper regeneration fluid on it, seeing if it would make a quick come-back. He figured that if he were to take in the fluid, be wounded for maybe a second and back to normal, maybe some kind of similar effect could happen to the tree. Thatâs when Max notified him with a message.
âSorry to interrupt, but thereâs a high energy source walking about in Ionia. Itâs in the northern section of the region - you best go investigate.â It said, bringing in a visual of where Blaze would need to be.Â
Blaze let out a sigh, hoping he would be done with this shortly. He needed to find out whether or not the fluid would need to be tweaked for the result he desired. Of course, Max could observe for him; Max could do anything Blaze needed him to and then some. âAlright. Any idea who it may be?â Blaze was almost monotone, not very much in the mood to deal with anyone at the time.Â
âIâm not sure,â Max replied, âbut it appears to be some kind of archmage.â This made Blaze pause in his progress. At first it sounded cool, then familiar to him.Â
An archmage? Why does thatâŚÂ He wondered, looking closer at the visual given to him. It looks like a person but with an altered skin tone andâŚtattoos? Wonder what the scrollâs about too.
âMax, give me an update on my equipment. Is everything good-to-go?â Blaze asked, moving to toss his teleportation platform onto the floor.Â
âEverything is at a solid one hundred percent capacity. What would you like to take with you?â Max had begun to bring over the Suit and B-Saber on skinny metal arms. Even Blazeâs backpack was taken over towards his position. The platform spread out and Blaze stepped onto the center.Â
âJust the Saber, since the Suit makes my job a little easy half the time. Odds are I might not even have to fight this guy. Letâs hope heâs not a threat.â As he received the B-Saber, lightning and a barrier began to form all around the edges of the platform. Soon enough, he had teleported out of his home and onto the First Lands. He took a deep breath, reminding him that there wasnât any other place like Ionia. He could somehow feel the magic all around him, and that feeling never got old.Â
I would live here, but Iâm simply too high-tech to belong on the surface. Guess it wouldnât hurt to have a second home though. I wouldnât be surprised if someone tried to take it over. ActuallyâŚthatâs not a bad idea. Guess Iâll make a place for myself here.
He looked around, figured out his exact placement, and stepped off of the platform. He placed it in a pocket after it shrunk down and walked where he needed to go - straight north.
