A detail I wanted to bring up bc I haven't seen anyone talking about it yet.

But y'all.

The knife Jay brought to the hospital?

It's Sun's butterfly knife.

I first noticed it bc it's a butterfly knife. It's a bit unique. And Jay opened it somewhat awkwardly/carefully. Butterfly knives you can flip open really cool like Sun does in literally the first scene of this show. And it makes sense he opened it that way because it's not Jay's knife!

It's literally the knife Sun has carried with him throughout this entire show.

This is exactly how it went in the novel and manhwa 🙃 Jay, realising that he isn't enough to make Sun want to live, brought a knife with him and forced Sun to SLICE HIS WRIST.

The logic is quite simple, actually. Sun's main cause for living is because he wanted to make amends and is guilty for bringing his family's death. So, if every time Sun endangers his life Jay would also endager his own life, then Sun be bringing that guilt with him too.

He essentially blackmailed Sun into making sure he keep himself safe, because if he didn't he would cause Jay's death too.
