◞ WAR ◇ CRY .

due to some changes in my own personal life I haven’t exactly been in the right head-space to fully write && dedicate time to this blog,  ( my living situation + mental illness ) I have gone on an unannounced semi-hiatus. However, as I begin feeling better && slowly work on some things in the background, expect to see more of me on the dash ! My apologies to those who I owe starters or replies ( tbh most are close friends whom know of my situation ), but thankfully with the continued support, patience && love from friends I will CONTINUE posting on Riven for the foreseeable future, albeit slowly and eventually picking up the pace later down the road.

NOT NSFW hc about riven’s bathing habits && general hygiene: She likes to keep herself very clean, bathing herself in the rivers && waterfalls of Ionia pretty much daily, her favorite spot being one particular waterfall in the midst of the denser, nearly abandoned ( save for local wildlife ) area within the forest. It’s nearly overgrown with natural vegetation, specifically wildflowers that give the waters a strong floral scent, which in turn gives her skin & hair a pleasant, lasting sweet smell. Her clothes, armor && weaponry are also washed here, however they still carry the blunt, but not overpowering smell of metal. The wind magic contained inside her blade also wafts a general fresh smell of leaves, which people have often commented on as being odd and/or unique. As an extra safety measure, ( should she be away from a source of water for long periods of time ) she carries a variety of dried flowers inside a hidden pocket on her tattered garb, which she crushes and rubs on herself, keeping her skin soft && not smelling like she just crawled from the depths of the land of B.O and death.

❝ How strange,  Shifting comfortably beside her good friend, the exile relaxed back && instinctively pressed against the soft, decaying bark of an aged fallen tree —  of course, careful && cautious of its natural give. How long has she had a day pass like this? Ease and safety amongst peers has been in unfortunate short supply as of late, so these rare moments of solace are a welcome break in the tedium. Grasping a stray, long fallen branch beside her, she plucked what russet leaves remained from it— letting them fall slowly between her and her most gentle company. ㅤㅤ             you’re telling me that kayn really does drink tea pinky up?  ❞ @fukainoumi

❝  I.... accept your kindness, archer —— There’s an unmistakable hesitation in her voice, a mixture of pride and disgust clutching her throat as she grips the once lost locket clutched in the hand of the servant, jerking it away with a swift, near aggressive motion. Instinctively, her eyes fixated coldly on his face, adding a chill to the already tense silence between the pair, a silence only broken by her apathetic tone. ㅤㅤ —— but I refuse to forgive your presence.
