WDYM YOU'RE NOT PRETTY?!?!?

So I grew up as ugly and I’m still not very pretty, but I will always remember this one thing that happened in middle school that sucked ass. There was this kid that i would talk to sometimes and I was super quiet and he was considered “popular” ig, and then he moved away and his friends told me that he liked me. I knew it wasn’t true, and they were just saying that to be assholes but it kinda just stick with me like damn I really am that ugly. Then like two years later one of the guys who was his friend for some reason started talking to me and said “you remember when you thought the guy liked you” and i was like ummmm wtf?? And he started laughing straight in my face and it was just so embarrassing even tho I knew I never believed it. Has anyone ever experienced something like this or just me???
