I find it funny seeing discourse about Sua and which version of her is a worse person.
Like in Alien Stage she kinda just wasn't really there? Like the fundementals of her relationships are the same but still.
my alnst hyper fixation just came back hit like a truck oml. WE ARE SO BACK

I need more highschool AU to save my sanity
Vivinos please more highschool AU as a break from the dark topics
Everyone is entitled to their opinions about media.
However, the criticism I've seen of Mizi's design in this AU is surrounding it being 'too pink' or 'showing too much' and I feel like the intentions behind this go over some people's heads.
Yes, Mizi's more pink than ever, and her outfits both human and zombie are revealing. This is intentional; she is being objectified and sexualised intentionally, she is a hyperfeminised persona of Mizi as this is what gets the fans and attention on stage.
You're well in your own right to dislike her design, however that does not make her design fundamentally bad in any way. Far from it.
Small prediction/theory that since all the relationships still mirror alien stage that when it comes to ivantill it's gonna get a whole lot more concerning.
In the closing of ep 1 Ivan was shown to be presumably a zombie due to being chained up/restrained. With the nature of the Zombie Stage zombies being somewhere between alive and dead and also visibly still sentient to some degree, Ivan would still have the same crush/obsession with Till. Presuming like Mizi and Sua they know eachother as children, even if not it could be a hallway crush or something.
Watch me be completely wrong, but!! I will talk none the less.
Till begins as human, Ivan is a zombie and turns first. Based on the og alnst Ivan is forceful with his love to some degree (think the heart scenes between the ships) I imagine Till will be forcefully turned, most likely fighting back but giving in after a while.
The win and lose dynamic between Mizi and Sua being mainly down to their aesthetic choices and willingness to give things up.
In their initial auditions they're both fairly modest, but as Mizi becomes and idol and gains fame she loses herself more and more in pursuit of her dream. When alive and famous she is often shown performing with men and essentially doing fanservice. Even after she is turned this doesn't change. Sua loses the match but still holds onto her modesty and self in the costuming and design. On the other hand, Mizi's objectification only happens more as she is turned and continues to be an idol; after her initial loss her eyes are sold, though this doesn't seem to impact her popularity. She has no face anymore, her costume focuses on her body and shows a lot more, accentuating her features. In order to keep going she has to give up everything, giving into the objectification even to the lengths of letting knives be thrown at her.
Sua getting infected from kissing Mizi.
That's all, that's the post.

Zombie Stage episode 1 discussion below the cut!!
First and foremost though, alien stage was always a criticism of the entertainment industry specifically the K-pop industry. This in itself isn't anything new, the metaphor was there and the clearer meaning very clearly shone through, especially, dare I say in relation to fan perception of characters.
Alien Stage fans how we feeling after Zombie Stage ep 1?
