#maya’s face kills me here #riley and farkle could never understand her issues with her family #they have a good nice loving family #and she never wanted to ruin their happiness and innocence by trying to make them get how hard it can be for her #so she just smiled #and then here comes golden boy lucas #riley’s dream guy #who doesn’t mean much to her except that he makes riley happy #and is a joy to tease #and here he is protecting her #and looking at her with a silent apology #and she sees it in his face #that he gets her painting and more than that he sees the part of her that she tried so hard to hide from riley and farkle #and he’s sorry that she’s hurting #and she’s left stunned that someone is willing to protect her because they get it #to me this is the first real lucaya moment #and i love it so much (@faithandlovewillkeepmestrong)
#I’m sure this is the first time Maya’s seen a potential kindred spirit in Lucas.#Before this he was just an attractive guy#who didn’t seem to mind her teasing and in fact enjoyed all her attempts to rattle him#(which she both hated and loved).#Before this he was a guy she could only see with Riley.#There wasn’t a chance he could possibly like her in any way other than a bantery friendship.#There was very little chance that he could understand her - what with all the walls she put up.#Walls covered in ivy and rose bushes and perhaps even some hidden barbed wire.#But here he was… getting through all the barriers and touching her heart with one action.#One silent apology for someone else’s mistake. I don't even ship but I think this is the cutest ever. I really think Lu*aya is super cute and yes, they have chemistry, all the actors work great together, and honestly just so damn cute.
