A very random Miraculous Ladybug headcanon post Pt 2 (except this time it's the day before my finals)
Luka and Juleka have Scottish origins. I don't even know why I like this idea, I'm not even Scottish but yes. Maybe it's the vibes I get from Jagged but I like to think maybe if the twins spoke English they'd have some Scottish flare to it.
Felix is taller than Adrien. Hear me out. Yes, I'm a Felix fan, it's obvious but it makes sense I think. The presence, the posture, and definitely the diet. Adrien is lankier, although now in season 6 he has more muscle because baby finally gets nutrients. But, I still think Felix would be taller.
Pixie cut Marinette!! I honestly hate the pigtails. She's 15 and she's a fashion designer, I refuse to believe her style eternally includes thick swoopy bangs and pigtails. No. Absolutely not. Technically this is me agreeing with canon but yes.
I like to think Chloe at some point got her character development and wasn't fucked over because the writer wants to be petty. I like to think Chloe gets therapy, heals and then actually becomes a decent person. Argue with the wall <3.
Ooh, I also like the idea that Kagami in reality loves being spontaneous and trying different things. She's just lived such a one way life and now she wants to see the world. And Felix, being the amazing boyfriend that he is, will go out of his way to make sure she can try whatever it is that she wants.
This next part is more so just my beef with some parts of the show than a headcanon but:
I see a lot of people saying, "Oh, their miraculous are related to things they hate or don't have in their civilian life!" And...no? That's...I mean I get it. Especially the creation magic destroying Marinette and the destruction magic creating Adrien yada yada yada. I do. But hear me out: Adrien has always had things he wants to destroy, namely his strict life. He wanted to break order, wanted spontaneity and choice and chaos. Marinette while being the klutz that she is, has a lot of creative potential and also a need for order: Art is her creative outlet, she journals to organise her thoughts and remember events, she made an entire whiteboard of Adrien's schedule by day time and date(creepy, yes but not relevant to my point). Ladybug and the Black Cat are meant for balance: Yin and Yang, Chaos and Order, Good and Evil(*cough* Chat Blanc *cough). It makes sense!
I hear people talking about Nino after the new episode: "Oh he has the protection miraculous even though he can't even protect himself." My guy, his miraculous is used to protect others. There are, I believe, close to zero scenes where he uses shelter solely to protect himself. He uses it to protect other people: his team, civilians, animals. And in his civilian life, he does that too: he tries many times to rebel against Adrien's father to protect Adrien, protects his little brother from hearing their parents fight, protects his girlfriend like that's his day job. Their miraculous are not contradictory to their personalities, pleaseee. However, I do see irony in Alya's acquisition of the fox miraculous: she wants to be a reporter, seeker of truth, supposedly hates laying, while also believing lies without seeking truth and being a reporter. Girl, please. Puh-lease. I think it's been established that I'm not a fan of Alya; I literally have never been, probably won't either. So perhaps my thoughts on her are biased but I speak my truth.
