The fear of failure the adults in your life instilled in you growing up and your peers hype up by making "this is so me" posts needs to be cast aside if you wanna play Katawa Shoujo or Tokimemo or Persona or whatever. You gotta become human.

Memory loss due to lack of air is such a gimmicky real world mechanic. Barely ever comes up, but when it does it's never good writing. Except for when it is.

It's pretty frustrating when people complain about RPGs or Visual Novels or Magical Girl Anime or whatever your special interest is dying and fading into obscurity and after about 10 minutes talking you realize that said people are either children that have only interacted with a single thread of the grand tapestry they say they're fans of or they just hold a lot of contempt for the genre (or the act of playing the genre straight, at least)

If I was a card game protagonist I'd let power ups go to my head immediately. I'd be doing chaos draws and new summoning mechanics into literal children at locals

Having to genuinely go "it's got great anti-war messaging and captures the futility of the obligations of strife" over some shit called "Mammary Wars: battle of the rose peaks" is part of what it means to be an adult
