Summary:
Desmond touched The Eye to save the world and expected to burn.
In a last moment of sheer stubbornness he pulled Juno out of the Eye and into his body, trying to make them both pay for the Isu's meddling and his choice.
But Juno was just as stubborn and in a fit of rage flung them into the past.
Now in Rome with an insane Isu as a roomate in his body, Desmond tries to survive and think of his next steps.

Desmond waited a few more seconds before he relaxed as well. He quickly wiped the dagger on some of the dead guard's cloth clean and put it away. He stepped over to body to where he knew Leonardo to be standing outside the alley. “Messer da Vinci, did they hurt y-“
He was assaulted by said man suddenly holding onto Desmond’s upper arm and got shook rather fiercely.
“Thank you my friend! I can’t believe you saved me twice now!,” Leonardo said excitedly, apparently over his anxiety of being held up.
“Uh…the last time was hardly life threatening.” Sure, he had saved Leonardo’s crates of art supplies from drowning in the Tiber, but that wasn't really a big feat. But Leonardo had been ecstatic when Desmond had appeared wet from head to toe yet with mostly dry crates. It seemed to have made an impression.
“Pah, of course it was! Without art there is no life my friend! Come, did you get hurt in the scuffle?” Leonardo looked him over but seeing no apparent wound seemed to put him even more at ease. “Ah but your face,” he continued without giving Desmond the time to answer, “Come to my workshop, there you can clean up properly.” Already he pulled Desmond along who reluctantly followed suit.
Leonardo was a joy to talk to, however short their first meeting had been but surely any moment now one of Ezio’s students would come by to see how the inventor was doing. Or worse, Ezio himself.
Desmond cleared his throat. “That’s really not necessary, Messer-“
“Just call me Leonardo, please! And while your at the workshop we can have some wine to celebrate you saving me twice, it is only proper,” Leonardo waved away Desmond’s concerns.

The premise is that Desmond touched the Eye but as a last ditch effort to safe humanity tried to pull Juno into his body to die with him. He succeeded in trapping her in his burned arm but in a fit of rage at being interfered, Juno flung them both into the past to Rome where Desmond now is.
Juno can't talk and do much while being in Desmond's arm but she can do a few things that bother Desmond (which is great, Whump! hah).
Now in the past, Desmond tries to somehow get rid of Juno and in the meantime annoys Ezio unwillingly to no end as Desmond handles a few things around Rome without even trying (like saving Claudia).
I recently went back to the place to paint some (premade) ceramics and decided to paint a cup Okami inspired (I used a light filter to show how the colors look in real life)

I bought a little bluetooth keyboard so that I can write wherever I want comfortably on the phone (because I only write my ffs on my phone uwu) and I never knew I could write 2k in one day
Currently replaying AC2 and after completing Sequence 6 we come back to Desmond and they tell him about the side effects.
Interesting how Lucy just tells him "you're fine, you didn't have any symptoms so far" but like ??? how, you kept him for 6 sequences in the Animus, can't have symptoms if you don't let the man out, am I rite
