He held his hands up in defense, feigning hurt and scared. “Oh no, not hot tea.” 

Joe smirked at her outburst. it was a bit comical. “Lying is considered a sin, Ria.” He had almost a stoic tone to his voice, but it was still joking. “If it makes you feel better, you can spill some tea on me.” he actually just said that. 

It didn’t bother him that she was staring. He honestly chuckled a bit. “Well, would you rather me lie?”
