The main characters of “the gem mermaid saga” au (a mermaid’s tale and Lordpearl au)
These are the main characters for the gem mermaid saga. I honestly had a lot of fun writing these characters and they’re pretty interesting too. Anyways here are the things you need to know about the main characters of this au idea.
she is one of the gem mermaids and the main protagonists of the saga. After discovering her powers and becoming an official gem mermaid, she has since then been a bit busy. However, when she has the time or opportunity, she would always come to her sea, lord oyster, and be with him. She’s lord oyster’s girlfriend and is willing to do everything she can to be with him. Sometimes when another lady is with lord oyster, she would get upset or angry, thinking they’re gonna take him away. She would sometimes be me overprotective of lord oyster without realizing that some of these ladies were either just friends of lord oyster or just helping him out. She’s very kind hearted and nice to everyone around her and shows she wants to help everyone, even lord oyster. Her powers are very strong, even surpassing her sisters in a way, like being able to grow into a giant and controlling the ocean itself. She even has magic powers like unleashing beams of light, turning enemies into fish creatures, purifying those corrupted, and even sometimes healing those injured or wounded. One of her most unique power is the ability to turn her mermaid tail into two legs, allowing her to walk on land and blend in with the land cookies and regain her tail when she returns to the water. This was a rare power, which was once held by many mercookies, but was lost and maybe even forgotten a long time ago. White pearl has the ability to also grant the mercookies her abilities though her sisters and the mercookies politely declined the offer (since gem mermaids and mercookies have their own way of getting around land without two legs).
she is the oldest sister of white pearl and the leader of the military in tearcrown. Following the event of a mermaid’s tale, crimson coral seems to accept lord oyster as an ally. Although she sometimes acts impulsive over the land cookies, thinking they’re still evil, despite many of the cookies in the crème republic showing they’re good people. Oftentimes crimson coral would train with her weapons and her seahorse, but she would also sometimes train with land cookie weapons. Crimson coral would sometimes lash out and act defensive against land cookies, when they talk badly about her family and sea cookies (and sometimes members of house oyster by accident), but other than that, she’s very kind whenever she’s with friends or family, even lord oyster. Her sea horse, scarlet, tends to stay loyal to crimson coral and is often seen in stables whether on land or under the sea. Any time though she’s on land, scarlet would sometimes sneak out of her stable and wander the oyster estate, much to everyone’s surprise, although some oyster family members don’t mind it with some even wanting to play with the sea horse. Crimson coral is a military expert with high experience of fighting and strategy. Her gem mermaid ability is that she can control the sea faunas, especially the ones that can go on land. Despite this being her normal ability as a gem mermaid, she also has other abilities as well. Her other ability is being able to create armor for herself as well as summon and manipulate any weapons she desires (which is mostly her trident). Crimson coral also can summon her sea horse anytime she wants. She also has the ability to conjure her own armor, as well as summon red rays to attack. Due to her being a military expert, she also has command over the entire tearcrown military and will allow them to attack at any time. Crimson coral is also trying to interact with other land faunas and even tame them and although she had a hard time with them, especially the one time she got kicked in the face by a land horse for doing something with it, crimson coral is still trying her best to tame land faunas and may do better overtime.
she is the second to older sister of white pearl and is the gardener of tearcrown. Following the events of a mermaid’s tale, aquamarine continue her duties, but decided to come to the surface to also study land floral out of curiosity. Oftentimes she would tend and care for the underwater flora and sometimes would take care of land flora. Her fascination with the land flora often leads to her trying to experiment with them and see what they can do. Aquamarine always went to the garden and the indoor garden in the estate of house oyster whenever she wanted to study the plants or even experiment with them. Sometimes aquamarine would go to plant stores just to buy other plants and flowers to study. Despite the things she does, aquamarine tends to love gardening and the gardeners in house oyster's garden really enjoy having her around since she helps with caring for the garden a lot. Aquamarine’s gem mermaid ability is to control the ocean flora. She can sometimes control land flora as long as they’re marginal or amphibious. Aquamarine can even sometimes create underwater floras in places where theirs no floral life. Due to her expertise in gardening she’s quite good with garden, mostly for her underwater plants, but she’s getting use to caring for land plants overtime. Because she can’t always use her flora powers in certain conditions, aquamarine also can summon two seaweed as weapons to help fight and defend herself and everyone else, especially on land.
she is the fourth older sister of white pearl and is the psychic of tearcrown. Following the events of a mermaid’s tale, mystic opal continued working in solitude in her cave as the renowned oracle, “the gem of the ocean”, with the starlight mermaids helping her. Naturally she loves working in her cave due to how peaceful it is, especially when she meditates or try to see parts of the future. After mystic opal’s sisters beg her to come to the surface, especially since white pearl is in love with lord oyster, she reluctantly came, though she would go back to her cave to continue her duties. She originally stayed and even slept in the attic and even the basement due to how dark and quiet it is like the cave. Unfortunately she gets berated by members of house oyster and even land cookies for living in the basement and attic, since it made her more like an outcast or weirdo. So mystic opal had to stay in a guest room in house oyster’s estate though mystic opal would close the doors and curtains to meditate. Her guest room was also made to block out any noises since mystic opal requested it to lord oyster which he did for her. Anytime mystic opal goes to the surface, she would often go to the private library of house oyster due to it being quiet. The starlight mermaids even come to the surface with her to help mystic opal though some land cookies were a bit skittish and nervous anytime they see them. Mystic opal is also a passionate read sometimes. Whenever she’s alone and not on her duty, she often read the books and scrolls within tearcrown to entertain herself. After visiting the surface, she also began reading land cookie books and novels, especially ones that involve mysteries. She often read in either her room or sometimes the estate's libraries whenever she isn’t busy. Mystic opal also one did become a fortune teller to get money, though she gave up on it quickly since lord oyster is already wealthy and also because she didn’t want to get mobbed by land cookies in the future due to her abilities. Also because she’s withdrawn and cryptic, mystic opal sometimes has a hard time socializing outside of her cave, even with land or sea cookies, although she specializing very well with her sisters. This leads to White Pearl to try and convince her to go outside and socialize, whether underwater or on land, which she sometimes did, with her rebuilding her social skills overtime. Mystic opal ability as a gem mermaid is to control the surface weather like rain, lightning, and even wind, and seeing into the future, though her future sight is a bit blurry. She also has some psychic powers like telekinesis and sometimes mind reading. Because of her weather abilities, mystic opal sometimes helps around the oyster estate’s garden like creating rain or making it sunny for the plants to grow. She also helps around the library and sometimes uses her telekinesis to get things in unreachable areas.
she is the third oldest sister of white pearl and is the treasure Hunter of tearcrown. Following the events of a mermaid’s tale, gold citrine continues to hunt for shiny and valuable objects under the sea while continuing her duties. However, after visiting the surface, she also became interested in hunting for shiny and valuable objects on the surface too. While gold citrine wasn’t always fond of land cookies, thanks to white pearl, she has gotten used to them overtime. While she enjoys going on these hunts for shiny objects, the problem is that she’s very greedy. In fact she’s so greedy that it may take the entirety of the golden cheese kingdom just to satisfy her obsession. Whenever gold citrine hunts for treasure and trinkets, she would often place them into her chamber or sometimes her little hideout. In fact, there was so much treasure and trinkets in her chamber and hideout that it makes a King's ransom look worthless. This almost leads to many of the mercookies to wine about her chamber being filled with stuff she collected as they see most of gold citrine’s collection as junk or even garbage. Gold citrine also had some different problems on the surface. While gold citrine loves searching the beach and other places for trinkets and treasure, she ends up stealing other cookies’ things by accident, making land cookies very angry, especially when she has to pay for some of those things. One time gold citrine accidentally took some golden trinkets from a merchant and another time she took jewels from a jewelry stole without paying for them. Gold citrine even took gold from a crème republic bank without knowing that it’s already owned by the bank’s owner and is not abandoned or unoccupied. This all happened since gold citrine isn’t always aware of land cookie culture and how it works. This angered so many cookies to the point where house oyster had to many tons of apologies and give back all of the stuff gold citrine accidently stole. Gold citrine even got a scolding by her sisters as house oyster had to give her a lesson in economy and personal properties, just so she never steals from cookies again. Despite that however, gold citrine tends to find treasure and trinkets that aren’t claimed by anyone and sometimes even impresses cookies with some ancient and yet valuable things that could be worth millions of gold. When gold citrine first came to house oyster’s estate, she ends up staying in the estate’s vault due to her interest in shiny objects, as well as reminding her of home. This leads to house oyster to create an entire guest room made up of gold and shiny objects so she wouldn’t end up staying in the vault again. Whenever gold citrine collects shiny trinkets and treasures from the land cookies, she would place them in her guest room, which causes some complaint due to how bright the room becomes, though she always kept her lights off to calm people down. Despite the negative things about her, gold citrine is quite a nice gem mermaid. She tends to show off the treasure to both young land cookies and mercookies and tell them the stories of how she found them. Gold citrine sometimes gives trinkets and treasures she’s no longer interested to other cookies, and even charity. As a gem mermaid, her ability is to control golden waves. However, she also has the ability to lift heavy things, which is why she could bring back tones of things she found, and manipulate valuable metal and ores like gold, jewels, and even diamonds. Gold citrine might also wield a golden hammer for fighting and self defense if she isn’t surrounded by anything valuable.
she is the almighty sea and one of the main characters in the gem mermaid saga. Sea fairy is one of the elemental guardians of nature who swore to protect both nature and the cycle of life with everyone else. In the eyes of the mercookies, she is known as the almighty sea. Whenever a gem mermaid is at a certain age and prepared to take her duty, they undergo the sea foam rite where sea fairy would grant the gem mermaid a special power. However, despite being bound to her duties, sea fairy always had a dream to finally reach the moon and see moonlight cookie. Once in a while she tries to reach it before freezing into an ice sculpture, which oftentimes involves making an ice tower to reach to the moon. Sea fairy never reached the moon and has never seen moonlight in her life. Sea fairy even went as far as to abandon her duties as an elemental guardian just to see moonlight cookie. One day however (which is during the first story of the gem mermaid saga), she sensed something as she was forced to finally head to land due to a strange disturbance coming from the sea and feeling that she needed to head to land to investigate. This is where she finally meets moonlight cookie for the first time as moonlight also felt a great disturbance. Since they met, moonlight and sea fairy began to fall into a relationship over time as they stayed together. Sea fairy and moonlight also stayed in house oyster’s estate since they don’t have a place to stay and also because they don’t have money or an actual job besides their duties as elemental guardians. When the gem mermaids (and even lord oyster) meets sea fairy for the first time in person and in her normal form, they become baffled. Usually the gem mermaids only see sea Fairy in her giant form and dubbed the almighty sea, not a normal sized cookie with the name sea fairy. White pearl also was surprise by the fact that the almighty sea isn’t some sort of deity or an all powerful god, but rather just a cookie with elemental powers. Other than that the gem mermaids (and even house oyster) do welcome sea fairy with open arms. Since sea fairy has never lived within a land cookie civilization like the crème republic, she has lots to learn about it, especially if she’s staying in one. The mercookies will also meet her in person and even began worshipping like a goddess, though sea fairy declined the formality and formal behavior since she’s just an elemental guardian rather than an all powerful goddess. Sea fairy may also consider leaving behind her life as a guardian just to continue living with moonlight. Sea fairy has her powers like in cookie run kingdom and relatively good swordsmanship. Sea fairy also has control over water and can bend it at will. Sea fairy also has a bunch of sea cookies by her side (since they are her followers) and can summon them to help her.
She is the celestial custodian of the city of wizard, and main character in the gem mermaid saga. Moonlight cookie is one of the guardian of nature as well as the protector of the city of wizards. Often times she’s seen sleeping on her moon and dreaming about things. Sometimes she dreams about sea fairy cookie though she only thinks that sea fairy is probably just a mere figment of her imagination rather than a real cookie. Many mercookies tends to speak about her a lot in a fairytale of how the almighty sea tried reaching the moon. Most of the time moonlight cookie never leaves the city of wizards since she has to protect it and also because her creator told her that her purpose is to protect the city. One day however (during the first story of the gem mermaid saga), she sensed a disturbance coming from earthbread and within the sea, wanting to find out what was causing it, she travel earthbread where she finally meets sea fairy. Moonlight is a bit surprised to finally see sea fairy in person for the first time since she only thought she was just a mere dream. Sea fairy was also surprised to see moonlight since she never thought she would meet her in person. This leads to both sea fairy and moonlight to slowly develop a relationship over time as moonlight might slowly come to realize something special about sea fairy, which may make moonlight consider leaving behind her duties as an elemental guardian. When she meets with the gem mermaids and mercookies, they become a bit surprised by the fact that the moon from the legend was here (especially house oyster, since they never knew or saw her before). While having some background of land cookie civilization, due to living in the city of wizards, she isn’t always familiar with a place that has no magic like the crème republic so she will have to get use to being here, since she and sea fairy will be staying in the crème republic for a while, though she can perhaps use her own magic to help her and those around her. Moonlight also enjoys telling stories about her many dreams to the mercookies and land cookies, especially to young ones, whenever has a chance to do so. Moonlight cookie has an immense amount of magical abilities due to being an elemental guardian. She also possesses the ability to see things in her dreams (which probably isn’t an interesting ability). But sometimes she could dream up things into reality like shooting stars that could attack her enemies and other things that could be useful and fun (except for nightmares since they could be dangerous). Moonlight also has some mercookies by her side as well (since they’re with her spouse, sea fairy) and can have them help her whenever she needs it. Apparently since she met sea fairy, moonlight also has the ability to travel to earthbread (probably through teleportation or flying) anytime she wants to go there.
Anyways these are the main characters that will be in the au series. I will try to write the other things for the au, including the other characters. They may take time, but hopefully I can share a bit more with all of you about my au.
