Kamen Rider Drive - Type Speed

Just finished the paint that i did not finish before. Here I try to put the light source at the back of the character, to practice painting with backlighting.

I am quite satisfy with the metal part painting at this point. Which I think it can easily tell the material different of the armor. For the lighting, I added some glow to light up some area of the character. However, I should paint the shadow darker and harder for more contrast.

This is the final post for this paint, which outline the process of my paint briefly at above. 

Although the whole paint takes quite a lot time from refining to finish, I found it still worth for me to give time to it, which let me practice the whole working process, knowing the problems that may come with and the solutions.

My Room in Adelaide - Color and Shading

Here is the coloring and shading process. Starting with the flat color, to get the idea of what color each items should be. Then color shading, and a some color adjustment to stand out each items.

Just after the shading and color adjustment, each items just look like being a separate object instead of inside the paint. What I think the reason should be the relationship between the environment and the items are too weak.

Starting with the rough sketch, draw out what i want the paint looks. And with the 2nd sketch, I made the view higher, and I can easily see what main object is in my room.

Then I made a clear outline of the main objects and roughly draw the sub object into my room. However, the scale between the space and the object seems to have some problems. So more adjustment is made before the line art.

After adjustment, the first line art is ready for more detail. Compare to the Clear outline, the windows, Bed, Floor, Wardrobe and table look much reasonable then before.

For these months, I have been focus on painting my room that is in Adelaide. 

I will go through my working process in this blog these days, to record how do I come up with the final painting.

There are a few points I would like to reflect here. I was intended to make it colorful but not Black and White. However, my color painting didn't come up with the result I want. Therefore, I make it Black and White for better control of the whole painting. 

And just before the final result, the resolution of my paint is 2 times larger than now. This make me longer time to clean up the details, which also too heavy for my old macbook to handle it.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with this paint. Which I have done something I didn't tried before…. Draw from a special angle; customizing instead of just following; play with the light and shadow…etc.
