Its Calci Iâm back at it with the asks Sidekick WHATS UP đŁď¸đŁď¸đŁď¸
So another thing has popped into my head. Specifically, the duo magics that the RSA gang may have.
Iâm personally thinking that Rielle and Minajael will probably have duoâs (given that theyâve been released together and have several memorable interactions). Ik we havenât seen anyone else yet, so more will eventually be revealed. But! Until then~ đ
Just going purely off the vibes alone from the lore name drops and the silhouettes of the RSA housewardens, who do you hc would have Duo Magicâs?
Iâm thinking that Alisson/Alice-Lad would have a duo with twst!Mad Hatter or Chenâya. I also think it would be cool if Nalad and Megboy had a duo (purely based on the vibes, I think it would be funny if Leona and Idiaâs counterparts got along! Plus Nala and Meg seem like theyâd get along too!)
Neige may have a duo with Merrylad to tie up loose ends, but I sort of think Neige would have a duo with someone in his dorm. If the dwarfs really do get their own cards, then I imagine maybe heâd get a duo with one of them, leaving the other six to pair up with each other.
Then, theoretically Merryladâs dorm would have an even number of members, so theyâd all pair up (like how Diasomnia pairs themselves up, Malleus w Lilia and Sebek w Silver). However, assuming that Merryladâs dorm has three members (being the three good fairies) plus one, Iâm not sure what the last character could be based off đ§ Mayhaps the owl from Sleeping Beauty? Lol
Definitely a 3am thought ask but what are your thoughts? Do you also think RSA and NRC would have duoâs together? đ possibilities are endless now that the character roster is basically doubling! Weâre suffering from success fr đ¤ŠđĽ°đŤśđâ¨
~@calcifiedunderland
Hello, hello, Calci!! đ
This gave me a lot to think about... it was so nostalgic too bc I used to fantasize about RSA duo cards back in the good days lol Okay, okay, we have a lot to tackle in so let's get into this! Bc, as per usual, this is a long post~~~~
First of all, I didn't change much of your ideas bc they work really well! Technically we can also think of the duos based on how the Overblot Boys cards had their duos but let's leave it for a future post (and I'll need to write down these promises so I don't forget lol) and we'll go with your suggestions for now~
Iâm thinking that Alisson/Alice-Lad would have a duo with twst!Mad Hatter or Chenâya.
Hmmmm I liked it! I'm thinking of phrases for them already lmao The boys that still have no names will have a [] for a while and we'll come back to this post once we have all of them <3
Pls, let's pray for Alisson! We'll have to go with only Chenya this time but I know for sure he always get caught up in the battle just bc he gets so angry and it's funny lol
Alisson annoyed: "Focus your tricks on the other side, okay, Chenya-senpai?"
Chenya: "Nyahaha! I make no promises, []~"
I also think it would be cool if Nalad and Megboy had a duo (purely based on the vibes, I think it would be funny if Leona and Idiaâs counterparts got along! Plus Nala and Meg seem like theyâd get along too!)
In this post, I briefly touch on the irony of that considering the proximity of both movies and the little Easter egg the animators put in Hercules. I know they would be the funniest duo! So... I had two ideas lmao
(they being badass together)
[Nalad]: "Let's show them the power of a true king, []!"
[Megboy]: "True king, []? They deserve divine punishment!"
~
(and this...)
[Nalad]: "Finally! I came right on time to be your backup, []!"
[Megboy] deadpan: "Thanks, []. I was starting to get distressed here."
Neige may have a duo with Merrylad to tie up loose ends, but I sort of think Neige would have a duo with someone in his dorm. If the dwarfs really do get their own cards, then I imagine maybe heâd get a duo with one of them, leaving the other six to pair up with each other.
Classic boys! Classic boys! đŁđŁđŁ The most probable "Someone will die" "Of fun" duo if they go together lol
Neige happy still: "[], now it's time for a little discipline, don't you think?"
[Merrylad] snarky: "It's all I wanted to hear, Neige. That's what makes me the happiest~"
As for Neige with one of the dwarfs, the most classic Dwarfs next to Snow White are Doc, Grumpy and Dopey. I would choose Toby for a duo with Neige bc it will give room for Dominic and Gran to fight each together and it would make Toby smile :)
So the Charblanche duos would be
Dominic & Gran
Hop & Snick
Shelpy & Timmy
Neige & Toby
Then, theoretically Merryladâs dorm would have an even number of members, so theyâd all pair up (like how Diasomnia pairs themselves up, Malleus w Lilia and Sebek w Silver). However, assuming that Merryladâs dorm has three members (being the three good fairies) plus one, Iâm not sure what the last character could be based off đ§ Mayhaps the owl from Sleeping Beauty? Lol
I'm suspicious to say bc I would love for Merrylad to have his Floralad and Faunalad brothers (the fellowfaeship of the lads lol) but a fourth or simply another member based on the Owl would be chaotic too!
It's one of the things I got sad with the Bladevale soldiers being Silver Owls bc that owl was the pure agent of chaos with the other animals. Bro was unstoppable! But so it's Twst, if we think about it lol
Unfortunately I didn't had many ideas for them đ
Definitely a 3am thought ask but what are your thoughts? Do you also think RSA and NRC would have duoâs together? đ
A lot of special thought was given to this, so I hope it meet expectations! I tried to think of two scenarios, the boys helping each other (or trying to) in battle and they being passive-aggressive (a fail to two of them lol):
âąď¸âĽď¸âąď¸âĽď¸âąď¸âĽď¸âąď¸âĽď¸
Alisson & Riddle âąď¸âĽď¸
[help (sort of)]
Alisson: "This is a game we'll win in duo, Riddle!"
Riddle: "[], get into formation! Use your head!"
[snarky]
Riddle: "Life under the Queen isn't so absurd, don't you agree, []?"
Alisson: "Yeah, whatever, Riddle, Your Majesty..."
đąđŚđąđŚđąđŚđąđŚ
Nalad & Leona đąđŚ
[help (sort of)]
Nalad: "So this is your style, Prince Leona? Laughing in front of danger?"
Leona: "You ought to learn a thing or two from me, []."
[snarky]
Leona: "Isn't your obligation to protect royalty, []?"
Nalad: "Sorry, Prince Leona. Forgot you were here."
Merrylad: "Malleus... it almost seems like a dream brought us here."
Malleus: "So we shall make it come true, []."
[snarky]
Malleus: "Very fortunate to be helped even by the rabble, []."
Merrylad: "Crack your back and say that to my face, Malleus!"
~~~~~~~~
LMAOO
It took a little bit but they're more or less complete for now~ I'm happy with most of the choices here! Pls, Twst, make it happen bc it would be so cool <3
On another note, this is one of the posts I want to come back to in the future when we have a more canon vision of what their interactions look like so see what I got right, wrong or got surpassed by the story itself!
Don't worry, I think it's valid to at least be confused about the situation. It caught everybody by surprise when it came out with the first teasers and it's indeed a curious choice bc it sets the RSA and NRC founding figures quite apart from each other.
My best theory is that it probably has something to do with an object (not going to spoil much bc you said you're a little behind with the story and it concerns beginning of Book 8 mostly) that has the princesses figure-heads on it and the expectation now is that it'll be very important in the long run. One of the figures on it was Megara, so they were already foreshadowing that choice for the founding princesses. I think it probably comes from that... until new information comes out to shed a new light on it, at least.
And you're not being offensive by asking about it! It's genuine curiosity and confusion, which is understandable bc they broke the expected pattern (3 male villains, 4 female villains & expected 3 male heroes, 4 female heroines/princesses). I'm sure you're not alone on that feeling!
I thought about Neige, who is probably in another club (to have a break from work) but like to help behind the scenes for once
Minajeal have a secret place at school to train his voice, since we learnt he could be a convincing woman (maybe every RSA boys have a secret place where they go to sing as the princesses they are)
Hello, hello, Your Anonymity đ
I never thought much about it until you asked... I have a post prepared about Minajael and the Drama club for Monday, so other small comments probably will be there!
In the end, I managed to think of a few things. Not many but hopefully they're good enough~ RSA helping each other out is an agenda I can always get behind and it makes me so happy <3
The idea of Neige helping Minajael out on the behind the scenes is perfect, Your Anonymity! I can see him on the cleaning team and maybe more technical things. Whenever someone is sick, they call Neige and he cleans the stage in record time lol
And every RSA boy with a secret spot to have a little personal time alone is also cute! Somewhere to sing, to cry, to vent to the local animals.
Oh, I've been thinking about this lately but it would be funny if every play the club puts on is a Disney movie, like the og movie story and everything. Everyone accepts it bc "well, it's not the tale (bc the characters have other names) so it's okay" or even it could be the original form of each tale.
An absurd form of this is some plays are based on Disney Chanel movies but not all of them pass through the quality check (aka Minajael). Camp Rock's script was barred from being used all the years he's been in the club and will be until he gets an internship.
Minajael is the club's "tiger mom" in the natural sense (and bc everybody got to meet or see photos of his real tiger at home), bc he's the biggest defender of the members and is usually the "leader". He has a pretty good grasp of the arts, feel of things and confidence enough that the others find easy to follow.
If he goes into the strict "tiger mom" sense? Sometimes. He doesn't get into that out of malice tho and the others know. Well, after this game of Relic Labyrinth he might reconsider doing Camp Rock 1... might...
I only got those for now! Maybe if Minajael slips more info about the club, we can get more ideas~
My take on the rosauroria and psycheros housewardens
ignore how bare bones these designs are𼚠i just drew what i thought they were wearing based on the shapes i could see in the silhouettes without any detailing
i didnt know which fairy he was supposed to be so i just used all three + a little bit of aurora.. i dont really like the color palette i chose but owgdufjtn
i already love twst!megâs silhouette its so sassy
Headshots and design notes i guess
i need them to drop the rsa housewardens faster bro i wanna draw my ocxcanon for rosauroria so badâ i KNOW its gonna take probably more than a year for all of them to drop manđđđ
After reading your posts on Megboy I had a sudden thought.
Could Megboy be part of a possible "dark trio" in RSA?
Megara is more of a redeemed anti hero than a typical heroine, just like the huntsman from Snow White, so it's possible, depending on what his unique magic will be. It could be just like Kalim who is the only NRC dorm leader who isn't based on a villain and the only one who doesn't overblot. And who is also part of the NRC light trio alongside Silver and Rook.
Chenya could also be part of that trio, that would leave just one spot left for the trio to be completed.
And it also led me to the possibility of him being in the same tournament event as Neige, especially after reading the theory of what could Megboy's UM turn out to be. Just like how Minajael and Rielle (and the princesses they are based on) were opposites who clashed but at the same time had so much in common due to having parents who restrict or try to control their lives and desire a certain kind of freedom, Megara and Snow White, the characters Neige and Megboy are based on, share the theme of "betrayal and deception", and having a "regret and redemption" arc .
In Book 5, Neige almost got poisoned by Vil, someone he admired/respected and considered a "friend" without realizing it, just like how Snow White was deceived by her stepmother who disguised herself as an old lady. The only difference is that Rook didn't reveal Vil's jealousy and scheme to Neige, in contrast to how the huntsman revealed the Evil Queen's evil intentions Snow White out of guilt towards what he tried to do to her. Instead, Rook revealed his "betrayal" to Vil by voting for RSA.
Megara was openly betrayed by her ex-lover which caused her to not believe in love, and later deceived Hercules by being a double spy for Hades, but changed sides when she fell and admitted her feelings for Hercules and even gave her life for him.
It is possible that, in the possibility of them being teamed up together, they could also clash due to Neige being naive and Megboy being skeptical or cynical, and maybe even jealous of Neige's loving relationships.
Also, if Megboy ends up having a canon UM that allows him to read people's intentions and feelings, it could be possible that the incident where Vil tried to use his UM to sabotage Neige would come to light, or at least to the team members and Neige (as it would be really bad if that was revealed to the audience and the whole world watched the tournament). Imagine how Neige would react upon learning what Vil did and why he did it.
Hello, hello, Donanimee đ
Since we're going to go into this with a lot of the hcs already discussed here as basis, this is the disclaimer for the people who aren't familiar with these ideas that these are a mix of hcs, theories and predictions! It's very, very especulative!
So let's go!~
Could Megboy be part of the Dark Trio?
It's one of my assumptions, yes. [Discussed briefly here].
The basis for the Dark Trio is morally gray, villain/antagonistic-adjacent/assistant, villainTM. I think in the case of Megboy, in this scheme/spectrum, would possibly be between Rook or Kalim for what Megara represents in the story.
Megboy as Neige's duo in the games
Alisson and Megboy continue to dance from one game to the other, playing with our poor minds lmao
If Twst follows that idea, it would be a very interesting duo as well, as discussed previously in this ask! To newcomers, I gave an idea for Megboy's UM here!
What actually it's becoming interesting to me seeing them as a duo is that Neige/Snow White would be the exact people Megboy/Megara would deceive, much like Hercules. Since SW and Hercules represents the classic tropes of damsel in distress and virtuous hero, both innocent as one of the key virtues.
I agree that they would clash in a similar way Rielle and Minajael did (or worse lol), probably even more considering everything, their personalities, the princesses they're based on, etc, etc.
Neige's reaction
I said before in the ask mentioned above that going deep into Neige's possible reactions requires a post of its own and a great deal of study of that incident in Book 5, which I'll put on a tab to do in the future. Even if we're dealing with speculation, my memory is a bit foggy on Vil's overblot and I want to be fair to all parties in this discussion.
It also weights heavily on Neige's characterization. In Book 7, we saw Silver (whose heart is just as genuine) be destroyed emotionally after he learned the truth about his origins, so it's clear that Twst isn't the type to back down on the emotions of its characters.
It's also on point with Aurora's mental breakdown over discovering that she's a princess and she can't marry Philip bc she's already promised to someone else. She spent all her life living with "three aunties", we don't know what she thought or cared or even knew what a normal family is and suddenly she has living parents, she's a princess and she's a bride. Can't blame a girl for being devastated her entire life feels like a lie.
But if we also base on Kalim (with a grain of salt too on my memories of Book 4), he had a proper reaction to it but also went to fight Jamil either way. It's similar in a way to the Sultan who sent the guards to arrest Jafar when Aladdin revealed he was being hypnotized.
Snow White got scared by what the Huntsman revealed to her. It could be our starting point. But then after going through the forest, she's confronted with fear as a pure emotion but managed to recover. When she begs the Dwarfs to accept her bc "the Queen will kill me", Grumpy gets concerned bc that would backfire on them and her next line is, "But she doesn't know where I am :D"
That's interesting and also why I want to consider with all the care, as crazy as I know that sounds lol Until this moment, Neige has a good variety of possible reactions and outcomes.
The vision
A vision that went through my eyes that would kick start this drama is that, if Megboy has this specific hc UM and they're in Mystic Mortar (the potion making game), maybe he tries to be underhanded* with his tactics to discover what NRC's team is up to (behind Neige's back for obvious reasons) and he reads Vil's thoughts thinking he'll get answers.
*let's say that they choose him for the task bc similar to Rielle's UM, Megboy's hypothetical UM is still not against the rules per se. Reading thoughts is basically like stealing, which is permitted here. It's okay but to each their own consequences... that being said!
Instead of answers on what ingredients they got or if they're planning on sabotage the RSA team, Megboy listens to a monologue of Vil thinking of all the things he did to Neige and his true feelings on the matter, which even if he's better about it than on Book 5, it's still quite a lot for a outsider to go through without any context whatsoever.
And Megboy is like
Bc wtf did he get into? Should he tell Neige? Taking the risk of messing everything bc who knows how he'll react? Did this guy mentioned that he overblotted? He poisoned the apple juice? Destroyed the entire venue? Wha- BRO DIDNT SIGN UP FOR THAT DRAMA
No, it's even worse! Megboy is hit with protective feelings for Neige, similar to how Megara didn't wanted to hurt Hercules. Because how do you kick a big eyed puppy in the face? HOW? What is he going to do now?????
OMG This can be it's own fanfic actually. A parallel universe. He gets back to his team grounds, Neige is like "you went to try something, weren't you?"
"N-neige..."
*a little giggle* "Well, you don't seem happy so I guess it wasn't that worthy. See? If we want to win, we need to work together now with our own hands, not be underhanded like that. It's okay, M. C'mon, the others are waiting!~~"
"okay... no, you're right"
"... are you okay, M? Now you're worrying me...!"
"It's fine! I'm fine! Fine as a... peach..." Megboy internally:
Twst Try To Not Drop Kick The Boys In The Feels - challenge sent and accepted
I'm sure whatever will happen on canon will probably be way worse than this, if Rielle's case is any indication in the moment of that/j I joke but with some tears in my eyes
Thanks for the ask, Donanimee! Like I said previously and here, I'll put tabs on this particular subject for a future and fair post, but I hope I got you covered for now! đ
Maybe just like how Rielle and Mina had something in common, which was overbearing parents and not being given enough freedom, maybe it's the same for the upcoming 2 teams of two, except Merryboy since he will probably do solo.
the characters Nalad and Allison are based on (Nala and Alice) both stood against and had certain thoughts about the behavior of the "rulers" in their movies (Scar and the Queen of Hearts) .
Neige and Megboy characters (Snow White and Megara) could be both related to "betrayal" and "deceiving". Snow White learned through the huntsman about how her stepmother, the Evil Queen, wanted to kill her out of jealousy and was deceived by the queen who was disguised as an old lady. And Megara was betrayed by her ex-lover and deceived Hercules regarding who she was working for (Hades).
Imagine if Neige learns about how Vil tried to use his UM during VDC.
Hello, hello, Your Anonymity! đ
Oh, I never thought about that... but it does make sense! It functions sorta like a thematic parallel and similarity between each duo.
Rielle & Minajael: Freedom
Alisson & Nalad: ResponsibilityÂ
Neige & Megboy: Truth and Heroism
Merrylad: (my interpretation) Protection
This was very interesting! I'll explain my way to summarize them tho!
Rielle & Minajael: Freedom
Their personal drama is relatively the same, although different things are expected of them given their status.
Rielle, as the 7th prince, so not urgently in line to the throne, is expected to be less reckless with himself. Tbf we didn't get the impression the merfolk have any hostility towards humans, at best is desinterest, which makes Rielle and Azul stand out for their respective interests in the above surface world.
On the other hand, Minajael is the 1st prince, putting him directly in line to the crown once his father passes away. A lot of pressure and attention is put onto him bc he's the future of the Tealrajah house.
Both Rielle & Minajael share the wish of freedom to do what they want and pursue their own dreams, not someone's else. Mirroring Azul & Jamil's wishes to reach freedom and independency themselves too.
Alisson & Nalad: Responsibility
Given their circumstances, yes, the original characters stand up against tyranny and abuse of power (in their own way). We don't know how the boys are going to work based on that but possibly something similar!
I used "responsibility" here bc Alice learns to be responsible herself instead of imagining that being the queen of a backwards world is going to solve her problems and Nala helped to bring Simba to his senses of the true responsibility of a good king.
Finding your way in the world is not a easy task but it's necessary! "With great power comes great responsibility."
It becomes a good parallel with Alisson & Nalad to Riddle & Leona, who both performs roles of authority heavily related to a royal-like figure and represents the downfalls and nuances of the topic.
Neige & Megboy: Truth and Heroism
That is the most interesting and tragic bc it's something that rings true to a lot of characters, and these two aren't the exception.
Snow and Megara were deceived in different occasions yet, similarly, it almost cost their lives. But they were saved by acts of true love, from their princes and actions that they did too.
Megboy probably will have the most mysterious take from this... if it follows the original. Maybe in the form of an unlikely and reluctant hero?
Just an aside: No Traitor Megboy theories, please đ This fandom can only take so much conspiracies! I swear everywhere has this lol It's kinda like a canonical fandom event in shounen-ish stories that someone has to be a traitor. Anyways-
Idia comes in with both themes is a similar manner. I don't know how to fit in Truth but Heroism is basically his peak point in book 7.
About Neige discovering what Vil did........ I wait for this day with mixed feelings bc while predictions was fun to make, I legit can't fathom what his reaction could be, from a canon stand point. It varies so much. It can get scarier. It can never happen and he lives in forever blissful ignorance. This would need to be its own separate post!
In relation to the Truth theme, true beauty lies within in one's actions (I was not planning on the irony of that phrase tho). Neige's genuine feelings and true innocence, Vil's compromise with true effort and reality.
Merrylad: (my interpretation) Protection
So why protection? This is mostly a prediction based on the Three Good Fairies motivations. They were trying to protect Aurora and the kingdom until the very end, to the best of their abilities and intentions. We know, as spectators, that so much protection without full honesty payed its cost in Aurora falling prey to Maleficent either way (a common trope in this theme, similar to Ariel and Triton).
Interesting enough, Malleus' downfall in book 7 started bc he wanted to protect Lilia, Yuu and others from suffering, by trapping them in a world of dreams. It's a retelling of what the Fairies did to the kingdom so they wouldn't realize Aurora was temporarily "dead" (sleep of death aktually~) yet be protected with her.
Nothing more fair than Merrylad giving his take on this theme as well! Maybe in a more extreme manner or more lax? It depends on the lesson will learn from this situation, granted if that's where they'll go with him.
~~
Thank you for the ask, Your Anonymity đ This was really cool to think about and probably will be of great importance later~~ We can only hope, at least!
Eternal Snow Fan Club Forum [Post by Member 0000002, R. | Subsection Neigeâs Music | July 30rd, 19:37h P.M.]
Salute, mes Snowbirds!
Itâs an absolute beautĂŠ of a spring season, little flowers in bloom after the harsh winter snow and with their blossoming come the seeds of the next circle of life. As the fanclub surely noticed, we have a new wave of beautiful little applings sprouting in our forest after Neige's presentation at the VDC this year!
So, as one of the oldest members, I said to myself this is the great opportunity to give the new apple blooms a little history over our dear snowy-skinned prince~Â
Neige Le Blanche started his career a long time ago but not a lot of people that come from a more âcasual fanâ background are completely familiar with the details.
If itâs your cĹurâs desire to participate in the Eternal Snow club, itâs our duty as the seniors to initiate you in the tales of old, as it was once upon a timeâŚÂ
I. The Sword of Majesty
The Legend of the Sword: Overture (ft. the Jeweled Hills Children Choir)
I Want Your Attention, Everything!
Kingâs Road Theme (ft. the Jeweled Hills Children Choir)
Knowledge Moves the World
Love Is a Wild Squirrel
Marvelous Mad Madame [Solo Version]
Blue Oak Tree
The Magic KeyÂ
History: Neigeâs career started as young as 10 years old, playing the protagonist in the theater play âKingâs Road: The Sword of Majestyâ, which tells the story of a boy in his journey to become the king for a country in dire need of leadership. Itâs considered one of the three greatest musicals of all time until this day.Â
When the Pyroxene Royal Theater went on tour across the world, the head directors commissioned a personalized album sung entirely by Neige as a tie-in promotional material, banking on his rising popularity as a new child star in the drama scene. In technicality, this is his first debut album.Â
The Jeweled Hills Children Choir as a feature in the overture and the theme was the only condition Neige had for the job, which proved to be the best news for them as a group. Their involvement on the two tracks brought in new patrons for the seemingly cast aside orphanage due to the albumâs massive success.
II. Little Lord Le BlancheÂ
The Way You Look Today
Face to Face
Atrium SerenadeÂ
Over the Hills
Sing (Isnât It Sweet?)
Feel the BeguineÂ
Snowy WonderlandÂ
History: At 11 years old, Neige starred in his first feature film as the childrenâs book adaptation of the same name, âLittle Lord Gemstoneâ, that tells the story of an orphan boy who is taken in by seven brothers who recently discovered him to be their long-lost heir.
In the same vein as âThe Sword of Majestyâ, this album was also made as a promotional tie-in, showcasing Neigeâs covers of famous songs of the book/movieâs time period. Itâs heavily pointed as the reason for his occasional old-timey style in future albums.
The name is a reference to the movie, mixing in Neigeâs own full name. What an adorable nod to the little singer~!
III. Middle School Musical: Gabriel / Neige
Start of Something [Solo Ver]
I Was Looking For You [Solo Ver]
Just The Math Boy
When It Was Only Me and You
Soaring [Solo Ver]
Is This My Voice? Finally?
Weâre All Together [Solo Ver]
Music In You [Solo Ver]
My Own Way
Life-saver
Number One in My Heart
Let Us Dance
History: Finally, at the age of 12, Neige got his breakthrough role as Gabriel Edelstein in the feature film âMiddle School Musicalâ, starring with the likes of Vil Schoenheit, who also came to grow his own name and fanbase.
Due to the movieâs success, the studio released a special album with each member of the childrenâs main cast containing their character songs, demos and solo versions. After that, Neige was officially signed with G. H. Castle Records, who brought his two previous albums along with this one and was the distributor of this movieâs soundtrack. They went to create other three albums with him as weâll see.
IV. SnowÂ
Snow [lead single]
Princess [2nd single]
Anybody Can Be Beautiful [3rd single]
Turn Up The Radio
Miles Ahead
Boys Just Wanna Have Fun
Be-Do-Boo-Boop
(Your Majesty) Bring Me A Dream
Soap Dripping In the Staircase
Sugar and Spice
History: A couple months apart from âGabriel/Neigeâ, âSnowâ released at an all-time high in Neigeâs career, following weeks at the top numbers of the Twisted Billboard.
Being the first of the retroactively considered by fans âtri-colorâ series, the concept for this album was written with Neigeâs innocent image as center stage, carefully crafted by the executives at GHC.
Its singles are âSnowâ as the title-track, âPrincessâ as the second and âAnybody Can Be Beautifulâ, both becoming hits of the time and some of his long lasting old successes.
V. EbonyÂ
Ebony [lead single]
True Colors
Leave Yesterday Behind
Back To Where We Began
Goodbye
Trying To Wake Up
Awfully Afraid [2nd single]
Cracks In My Mirror
Rewrite
Can You Hear My Voice? [3rd single]
History: The album âEbonyâ came out as soon as Neige turned 13, promising to bring an âedgeâ to him. The edge was sadder songs that werenât so common in his repertoire, bringing this concept of rare introspection and tragedy to the happy-go-lucky boy we were so used to. But it ends on a triumphant track of effort and hope for a better future, which managed to keep the faith of the fans.
Its singles are âEbodyâ as title track, âAwfully Afraidâ as the hit success and âCan You Hear My Voice?â as the third single with an approximate success.
Due to the secretive behind the scenes motions of the record label, we donât know for sure how much power Neige had over the albums decisions but it started here the tradition of the seventh track being the most personal of all (which will be analyzed on the other albums).
VI. RoseÂ
Rose [title track]Â
Give Me a Kiss [2nd single]Â
Soul, So Beautiful
Cheesecake
Written Just for You
Love Will Find You
Donât Care Who You Are
I Wear Sweaters [hit single]
The Sage Says
Afternoon
History: âRoseâ was the second album 13 year old Neige was pushed to release by the end of that same year. Back to fashion with the happier songs yet with the theme of romance at its peak, âRedâ was the first fully romantic Neige album released at that time (unaware of his future thematic streak).Â
Its singles are âRoseâ as title track, âGive Me a Kissâ as second single and, to top it off, âI Wear Sweatersâ was the hit of that season. This album, although romantic and upbeat, also represented the end of not only a series but an era. It was the last work of Neige under the G. H. C. Records.
VII. Beautiful in RagsÂ
Wishing Well [lead single]
My Smile Is My SongÂ
Tidying Up The PlaceÂ
Baking You A Little PieÂ
You Got That SmileÂ
Cherish (This Apple)Â
Someday My Princess Will Come [2nd single]
(Youâre Still) Beautiful In Rags [3rd single]
I Believe
Spring Will Come with a KissÂ
Confidence in YourselfÂ
The Doc Is On?
Grumpy EyebrowsÂ
Letâs Be Happy ForeverÂ
Quite The SneezeÂ
Tired, Exhausted and SleepyÂ
Golly, So Bashful!Â
Dobey-Dobey-Dopey [4th single]
37 Reasons Why I Dream Of YouÂ
History: The year of his 14th birthday, Neige and his agent underwent a legal battle for the rights to his first six albums with the G. H. Castle Records label, which lasted months, having begun behind the scenes a little after âRoseâ had released.
Then rather mysteriously, all was resolved with the anonymous purchase of the masters and they were gifted back to Neige. He then went to sign to â and continues until this day â Alba Cottage Records, a smaller but steady in growth label localized in the Pyroxene countryside.Â
Itâs rumored that Neige wrote himself all nineteen songs during the legal ordeal to relieve stress, the most songs any of his albums ever received. This started his effort in being more self-written than only providing performance, although he doesnât deny any good written songs that come his way.
Its has âWishing Well, Kiss and Tellâ as lead single, âSomeday My Princess Will Comeâ as famous seventh track and hit single, â(Youâre Still) Beautiful In Ragsâ as third single and, which was never seen before in Neigeâs work until that moment, a fourth single in the form of âDobey-Dobey-Dopeyâ.
Most songs from âBeautiful in Ragsâ actually managed to hold their water in comparison to previous works, being one of Neigeâs popular albums â and his seventh one as its own hallmark!
Another point of success at that time for recently 14 year old Neige was staring at a movie which gained for him the Best Actor Award at the Diamond Movie Awards, being the youngest recipient of the title yet.
VIII. Wonderful HolidaysÂ
Finally Kiss Goodbye [cover]
The Herald Seraphs Hymn [cover]
Winter Tree Farm [performance]
Snowy Wonderland [re-recorded]
Under the Mistletoe [performance]
Silent Night [cover]
When All The Lights Are On [self-written]
Welcome My Savior [self-written]
Jingle-Jangle [performance]
Cardigans and Ugly Sweaters [self-written]
White As a Marshmallow [cover]Â
Little Yuletide [cover]
History: At the end of that same year, during the winter holiday season, Neige released this as a thematic special album, composed of covers of holiday classics, performance of a few selected pieces composed for him, a new version of âSnowy Wonderlandâ (see Little Lord Le Blanche) and three self-composed songs. Winter is known to be Neigeâs second favorite season, losing only to spring.Â
This album didnât have any singles but all songs dominated the holiday season of that time and some continue to be listened to around the same time until now.
IX. Fairest Of Hearts â A TributeÂ
Dear Papa and Mama
Friend of My Heart
Searching For the Queen
Pull Up Your Sleeve
Honest Warning
Join In the Whistle
My Friends Forever More
Just a Princess (Not Yet a Queen)Â
SurvivorÂ
True Loveâs KissÂ
Wedding Bells Ring
Beautiful Is Thy Heart
Bet My House on You
A Queen Is Born
History: At the age of 15, Neige embarked on a journey to craft an ambitious project that aimed to be a tribute to his historic idol, the Selfless Princess and the biopic film that was made of her in the third age of cinema.Â
Regarding this album, Neige tells the most famous tales of the Selfless Princessâ life, drawing a picture of a young girl, just like himself, that had her falls but didnât let the rainy clouds stop the sun from shining bright.
The last two tracks were written thinking of the behind the scenes regarding the biopic film and its necessary contributions to cinema at the time.Â
âJust a Princess (Not Yet a Queen)â is particularly strong on oneâs feelings of responsibilities but feeling not being up to the task, one of most famous tracks of the album. Particularly, the Eternal Snowâs favorite track had to be âMy Friends Forever Moreâ. Oui, oui! The seventh one strikes again!~
X. Angel, Elegant, Lovely â A Tribute
Dance, Sweet Little Doll
Bunny Girl Returns
She Isnât a Peasant
Young Snow Princess
Miss Nurse, Heal Me
The Curse of Gilda
Juliet And Her Tin-man
Opera! Opera!
Lady Pom Pom
Itâs A Wonderful Singer
Sisters Of Vocal StringsÂ
Oh, Angel, I Wonât Forget You
A Princess Smile
May Your Voice Echo Forever
History: During an interview in the promotional tour of the album, released a couple months after âFairest of Heartsâ, Neige shared the story about the impact the movie âSelfless Princess and the Master Dwarfsâ had on him as a kid and the marvellous interpretation of actress Caselena Adrietta as the princess herself. The directing, the music, the acting, the bold cinema innovations â everything shaped him into the most beautiful soul we all love.Â
Unfortunately, the movieâs history has its own kind of blemishes that, although occult by the industryâs strongholds of that decade, didnât completely escape Neigeâs eye. That would be the short career of Ms. Adrietta in the following years after the historic biopic.
âAngel, Elegant, Lovelyâ is his tribute to her work and her sincerity, even when all it remained for her was to be known as the âcinematic adaptation faceâ of the Selfless Princess.
Each track is listed after one small uncredited role that Ms. Adrietta acted through her life, Neige serving as a narrator. Track 11 is a homage to her late older sister, a famous opera actress and teacher, and Tracks 12 to 14 cover Neigeâs personal feelings toward her and his appeal that her legacy isnât left behind by newer generations nor overshadowed by the mistakes of the director.Â
XI. Blue Bird BoyÂ
Boy In The Mirror [lead single]
Can I? Could I?
You Will Find MeÂ
If Afraid, Sing!Â
Three Little BirdsÂ
Her Beautiful EyesÂ
Beret Full Of Sunshine [hit single]
Strongest PotionÂ
Just Go (La La La)Â
A Crow Sings Me A Verse [special single]
Where Iâm Meant To Be
Back HomeÂ
âCuz EverytimeÂ
Make You Understand [3rd single]
History: Last year was one of the busiest years for Neige yet, believe me, mes snowbirds. By my calculations, he probably came around to start writing it amidst turning 16 years old. It was a month past his birthday when this album was released.Â
âBlue Bird Boyâ is considered an album thatâs âback to Neigeâs originsâ. A good, well-meaning mix of romantic and optimistic songs, a soft mix of styles across instrumentals as it became his trademark. As you can notice in the tribute albums, this one and the next, Neigeâs tracklist consists of fourteen songs (two times seven).
âBoy in the Mirrorâ is the lead single, the famous seventh track âBeret Full Of Sunshineâ became a hit single and the third single was âMake You Understandâ.
A few weeks after launch, Neige revealed the tenth track, âA Crow Sings Me a Verseâ as a surprise single with a music and lyric video, which fans greatly enjoyed as this song was written as an open letter of gratitude for our support all these years. Itâs a song for old and new fans alike.Â
XII. We Are The Land (Various Artists)Â
We Are The LandÂ
Heal
Love is a Powerful ThingÂ
Let It (Be)Â
Hold On to That FeelingÂ
You Been There For MeÂ
Are You Alone? [Solo]
Stand, Stand, StandÂ
The SunÂ
PressureÂ
We All HearÂ
I Believe In YouÂ
Your Own MusicÂ
Count Me InÂ
History: The initiative âWe Are The Landâ became a collaborative album initiated by Neige with a variety of artists from different ages and musical backgrounds, that culminated with all the revenue being directed to important charities across the world. Most songs feature up to five artists, Neige participating in some of them. The title-single has the entire group singing together.
Due to the overlap between fanbases, itâs one of the best sold albums in billboard history and itâs in this list because heâs considered the founder of the cause.Â
Despite being initially hesitant, the group of artists convinced Neige to have at least one entirely solo song in the album, which is the seventh one, âAre You Alone?â. While still protecting their identities from the major public, he dedicated this song to his family.
XIII. Dove Of My HeartÂ
Dove Of My HeartÂ
Hey Now! [1st single]
Put It On RepeatÂ
Love Doesnât Make You Weak [2nd single]
Brand New PieÂ
Delusions In a Crystal CoffinÂ
White Flower Bouquet [3rd single]
Oh, To Wake Up and See You [4th single]
Flower RingsÂ
Take CareÂ
Feeling New and SafeÂ
Heart SignÂ
Pretty, Pretty, PrettyÂ
Follow YouÂ
Youâll Never Know ThemÂ
Your Love Defy Even Magic [5th single]
History: âDove of My Heartâ is Neigeâs most recent album, released a few months before his 17th birthday date. It was quite the news back in the day for having sixteen songs, as opposed to the pattern of fourteen, and is the second largest album of his career.Â
Not only that, it launched five different singles instead of only three: the pop love celebrations of âHey Now!â and âLove Doesnât Make You Weakâ, the slow love ballads of âOh, To Wake Up and See Youâ and âYour Love Defy Even Magicâ, and the unexpected melancholics âDelusions In a Crystal Coffinâ (although this one isnât a single) and âWhite Flowers Bouquetâ, respectively in honor of broken hearts and beloved deceased ones.Â
Most of the songs here are at Neigeâs highest level of romanticism, showcasing yet again the importance that he gives to genuine feelings and, even if idealistic, the comforting light of old fairytales, in the meanwhile he wrote a few more introspective songs to balance things out.Â
XIV. [Up Coming]
Salutations again, mes snowbirds!Â
As of today, Neige still hasnât released any new material, apart from his group rendition of âMinna de Yahooâ in the VDC, but expectation is slowly boiling since the next one will be his 14th album at the age of 17. And this is big. I will spare you, mes amis, of the rambles I could go on about the deep symbolism of the number seven in Neigeâs life and how this is another stepstone that heâs going to build! Oui, Iâll contain myself this time.
Neige is currently in his second year at prestigious Royal Sword Academy and, while itâs been quiet without his new musical compositions gracing this world, we all know he should be taking this time off to enjoy things in life and come back to the music industry with a renowned spirit.
Thatâs not to say that heâs completely off the public life and not participating in movies or advertisements, to which the subsection of Neigeâs Cinema has been in the highest spirits with the upcoming movie adaptation of Kingâs Road. My personal congratulations as well!Â
I was particularly glad to see that Neige seems to be doing well with his friends and that his smile continues to be one of the most beautiful in the entire world.
My purpose of sharing all these stories are to highlight Neigeâs greatest quality and the reason he inspired so many of us: even when things donât go the way we expected or the world seems to try to get us trapped in a scary forest, as long as we donât give up, we can still wake up and rise again to another day.Â
Letâs get together again for the next news, as we always do! It was a pleasure to meet you all and to reminisce on the beautiful history that has our biggest star, Neige. Good morning, good afternoon and good night, fellow snowbirds!
At this point I'm thinking it will be better to take my afternoon tomorrow to put them all into playlists on Spotify bc I literally hit the link limit lol
Hello, hello~ This is the âbehind the postâ on Neigeâs discography. I thought it could be fun to reveal more about the references I sprinkled throughout the original post, especially what is canon and what were simply the voices in my head.
What if Neige had a musical career aside from his movies?Â
[Introduction]
Canon: Eternal Snow Fan Club (book 5, chapter 73).
Fanon: The whole idea that they have a forum and subsections is a fabrication. To be honest, itâs not even clear if Neige had a singing career alongside his acting one, so if he reveals that heâs been mostly an actor this whole thing blows up. But it was fun for the experience, at least. [more on that point in the end of this post]
Canon: Rookâs membership number is 0000002. Neige remembers him by his signature of âRâ in his letters, how Rook addresses him as âRoi des Neigesâ (King of Snows) and the meet-and-greets events (book 5, chapter 73). Neige thought âRâ was a girl and that âRâ has a different behavior in the events, but it could be related to Rookâs clothes in the events or just his language when talking. The story doesnât elaborate on that much.Â
Fanon: Itâs not confirmed if only Neige knows Rook by âRâ.
Special: Neige does ask Rook to sign his letters with his name the next time he writes something. This was not made because this is a âforum postâ but I just thought it was an important piece of characterization for Neige because heâs grateful for Rookâs undying support and appreciation.Â
Reference: July 30rd is â30+7â backwards and the specific hour of 19:37h is to symbolize 1937, âSnow White and the Seven Dwarfsâ movie release year.
Fanon: The nickname was chosen by this pool.
Reference: Thereâs a lot of references to spring and winter due to the scene showing the dwarves mourning Snow Whiteâs apparent death. In a wintertime panel, the narrator talks about how they couldnât bury her so they made a crystal coffin. Then, in a springtime panel with flowers blooming, it states that the Prince was searching far and wide for Snow.
Canon: VDC mentioned. Just to put an unnecessary timeline into this fanfic-post.Â
Reference: âSnow-skinned princeâ because Neige and Snow White have skin âwhite as snowâ.
Reference: The word âcĹurâ means âheartâ in French, Rookâs main language. Both related and unrelated, the Queen asks the Huntsman for Snowâ heart and apples sometimes resemble drawn hearts in their shape, a little different than anatomically accurate hearts.Â
Reference: The main post cover is based on Michael Jackson's HIStory Book 1 album cover with an apple-like aesthetic.
[Album 01 â The Sword of Majesty]
Canon: Neigeâs first role as a child actor was in the theater play âKingâs Road: The Sword of Majestyâ, which takes its vague story from the movie âThe Sword in the Stoneâ (1963), very appropriately since he would later enroll in Royal Sword Academy whose Headmaster is Twst!Merlin. Rook talks about the details of Kingâs Road in his Endless Halloween personal story.Â
Cover: The background comes from the 4K screenshots of the movie, found in the site Animation Screencaps, both from the opening credits sequence. The colors used are: red, yellow-gold and gray-silver, in reference to Wartâs outfit when he pulls the sword and the color of metal itself.Â
Reference: The tracklist is from the movieâs original soundtrack + the demos, with their titles slightly altered as most of the songs that I wrote into this. The special case is âKingâs Road Theme (ft. the Jeweled Hills Children Choir)â which was mentioned as a recurring motif by Rook in his card and, here, it utilizes the movieâs âMain Titleâ as a possible instrumental without vocals.
The Legend of the Sword in the Stone
Higitus Figitus
Main Titles
That's What Makes the World Go Round
Most Befuddling Thing
Mad Madame Mim
Blue Oak Tree
Fanon/Reference: Obviously, like all the albums here, the idea behind the album as a product is a fabrication for the experience. The name for âJeweled Hills Children Choirâ comes from the Dwarvesâ jewel/gemstones mines in the mountains.
Fanon: If Neige is 17 years old as of the main story, he was very young when he started performing and Rook was a child, one year older than him, when he saw Kingâs Road. I estimated that he couldâve started at 10.Â
Canon: The details of the play, the Pyroxene/Shaftlands Royal Theater and the fact that it is considered âone of the three greatest musicals of all timeâ are stated in Rookâs card.
Fanon: Iâll be honest, I donât know how Broadway tours work or if a situation like this happens, especially because you wonât dump the burden of singing the entire soundtrack on the back of only one actor/actress, regardless of how much clout theyâre getting. I think.
Semi Canon/Fanon: Itâs revealed by Rook that Neige gives most of his pay to charities, although only the fan club manages to track the details down (because his focus isnât that he is doing something but the help itself as a whole) as this fact isnât often made public. (chapter 6, episode 6) Vil says that heâs certain Neige gave his VDC prize to a charity âthat aids unprivileged children in their futuresâ, so I made an orphanage (Jeweled Hills Children) that could fit in that picture.Â
[Album 02 â Little Lord Le Blanche]
Cover: The texture is meant to recall the feeling of background in Snow Whiteâs opening title sequence and the colors used are from Snowâs rags dress, with the blouseâs little black bow. The stills referenced in this whole post are from Animated Screencaps.
Inspiration: The name comes from a classic childrenâs book called âLittle Lord Fauntleroyâ by Frances Hodgson Burnett in 1885. It tells the story of how young Cedric Errol changed the life of his grandfather, the Earl of Dorincourt, and turned him into a better person after itâs revealed that heâs the sole heir of the familyâs earldom and needs to be educated properly. Other shenanigans happen.Â
I still havenât found the time to read it myself but itâs a classic tale of an orphan (in this little boyâs case, only his mother is alive) that changes the mentality and life of an old, cold rich man. I have read another work of Burnettâs, âThe Secret Gardenâ, and while that book has an initially pampered little girl, the premise is pretty similar.Â
Canon-as-Reference: Thereâs only three movies that are actually mentioned in canon about Neige starring in: the movie that he co-starred with Vil, the childrenâs book adaptation movie that earned him his Diamond Award at 14 and the movie adaptation of Kingâs Road mentioned in chapter 5. This is not one of them, obviously.
Fanon: Itâs normal for actors to have a first movie just for the sake of debut, although most times they arenât necessarily the star. Since it needed a time before the movie with Vil and the award winning one, I created this one by combining the tropes of âorphan changes an old and cold personâs vision on lifeâ, âthe heir to the fortune is discovered in an unexpected circumstanceâ and the raw premise of og Snow White, who is also an orphan who changed the lives of seven old men.Â
Reference: The tracklist are referring to irl songs from the decade of 30, which is the time Snow White began production and was released. The songs are, mostly performed/chosen by:
The Way You Look Tonight â Fred Astaire (1936);
Cheek to Cheek â Fred Astaire (1935);
Moonlight Serenade â originally by Glenn Miller (1939), version by Barry Mannilow (1994);
Over the Rainbow â Judy Gallard (1939);
Sing, Sing, Sing â Benny Goodman (1937)
Begin the Beguine â originally by Artie Shaw (1938), version by Frank Sinatra (1938)
Winter Wonderland â written by Felix Bernard and Richard B. Smith, Joey Nashâs vocals (1934);
Reference: Since the movie came from the 30s, I feel itâs natural for Neige to also give this old-timey feel in some parts of his style, just like his uniform shoes.
[Album 03 â Middle School Musical: Gabriel / Neige]
Cover: Takes huge inspiration from the first movie cover of High School Musical.
Inspiration: The movie trilogy High School Musical from Disney Channel was a staple of 00s childhood, for children at the time or around it. Whenever they talk about the movie where Vil is the âbullyâ and Neige is the protagonist, I always thought that it could (not saying it is) a variant of this story. The only difference is that at least Sharpay would get redeemed and back with the group at the end of each movie for the final danceâŚ
Reference: Because the story mentions they were still children, itâs obvious their version should be a grade under high school (where theyâre currently studying). So it became a one movie middle school drama. Neigeâs character name âGabriel Edelsteinâ is because heâs the Gabriella Montez of Vilâs Sharpay Evans.Â
Reference: The Edelstein name means, in German and Yiddish, âgemstoneâ or âprecious stoneâ, referring to the Dwarfsâ gem mines. Â
Fanon/Reference: Although there are album cover variants of the HSM soundtrack albums, especially with a title like â[Character]âs Greatest Hitsâ, the idea that there will be solo versions of duet songs, per example, is completely fabricated on my part.
Reference: The tracklist refers to most of the three moviesâ soundtrack. Underlined titles donât exist. The songs are, mostly performed/chosen by:
Start of Something New â Vanessa Hudgens, Drew Seeley
What I Was Looking For [Ballad version] â Vanessa Hudgens, Drew SeeleyÂ
Just The Math Boy
When It Was Only Me and You â Vanessa Hudgens
Breaking Free â Vanessa Hudgens, Drew Seeley
Is This My Voice? Finally?
We're All Together â All Cast
Youâre The Music In Me [Ballad version] â Vanessa Hudgens, Drew Seeley
Gotta Go My Own Way â Vanessa Hudgens
Life-saver
Just Wanna Be With You â All Cast
Can I Have This Dance â All Cast
References: The song titles âJust The Math Boyâ and âLife-saverâ are references to Gabriellaâs character through movies 1 and 2, as sheâs established to be very good with math, winning awards at competitions before high school (Sharpay uses that to push her to the ânerd tribeâ) and she worked as a pool life-saver in the Lava Springs Country Club.
Special: âIs This My Voice? Finally?â is a contained reference to Neigeâs himself in his rise to fame, though foreshadowing a brief period of difficulty.Â
Fanon: Thereâs little to no information on who are the professionals aiding Neige in his career, unlike Vilâs agent whose voice is at least shown briefly in a scene in book 5.Â
Reference: Iâm not a huge swiftie but I like to watch some dramas that donât concern me just for the story aspect of it and I have some swiftie friends who arenât on Tumblr but shared their deep-lore knowledge with me as research. The aspect of Taylor Swiftâs story with her first record label became a good inspiration for part of the ideas in this post.
Reference: The acronym âG. H.â refers to the Evil Queenâs real name, Grimhilde, and the single castle tower is a callback to the first scene of the movie doing a zoom in to the room where the Queen will consult her Magic Mirror. This is a symbolism of how this fanon record label trapped Neige into an aggressive contract when he was very young and âused himâ, just like the Queen demoted Snow, her own step-daughter and princess, into a maid.Â
[Album 04 â Snow]
Reference: âSnowâ is referencing Neigeâs snowy white skin color again.Â
Cover: This was the only easy cover I had to do because I wanted the trio âSnow, Ebony, Roseâ to be as simple yet somewhat aesthetic as possible. âSnowâ is the only one who won in the aesthetic meter. I used a normal closed eye sprite of Neige and through some editing, I found a clear enough shade that wouldnât be exactly pure white but that would offer good contrast. The color palette is: gray, white and black, + the purple of GHC. The idea was that all three albums circled back to the same and next colors of Neigeâs face (his skin, his hair/eyes, his lips). Sprites from @/alchemivich.
Symbolism (?): It was partially intentional how the intense close ups intensify the idea that the record label is using this boy (who is 12 years old in this timeline) to the maximum of their industry capabilities.
Reference: The tracklist refers to a mix mash of popular songs of the 2000s, some old classics and whatever felt right for this concept. The songs are performed by:
Snow (Hey Oh) â Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Baby â Justin BieberÂ
Nobodyâs Perfect â Miley Cyrus
Turn Up The Radio â Main Cast, movie âLemonade Mouthâ
A Thousand Miles â Vanessa Carlton
Boys Just Wanna Have Fun â Davis Mallory (a male version cover from Cyndi Lauperâs iconic âGirls Just Wanna Have Funâ)
Thatâs Why Iâm Happy â Helen KaneÂ
(Mr. Sandman) Bring Me A Dream â The Four AcesÂ
Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head â The B. J. ThomasÂ
I Feel Good (I Got You) â James Brown
Fanon/Reference: While âSnowâ is mostly lead single because it would be the albumâs title track (like the recent Marina album, âPrincess of Powerâ, first song has that exact title), âBabyâ and âNobodyâs Perfectâ were mostly famous hits of their artists in the â00s era.
Reference: Betty Boopâs voice actress Mae Questel would mimic Helen Kaneâs mannerisms for the character and Betty Boop represented a version of Snow White for a cartoon short once in 1933.
Fanon: The name âtri-color seriesâ is because of the three color composition (white, black and red) of the character.
[Album 05 â Ebony]
Reference: âEbonyâ is referencing Neigeâs ebony black hair, just like Snow Whiteâs.Â
Cover: I hate this one with a passion because I couldnât find a good way to contrast the black with the red, so I had to use a very, very dark blue/purple and it looks⌠like that. The color palette is: dark blue/purple, black and red.Â
Symbolism (?): While the editing in Neigeâs Snow sprite was more pastel-ish, in âEbonyâ, itâs full in contrast to bring forth intensity. The only sprite I had with his beret removed also had his eyebrows arched in a sad expression, which was accidental but gave me the idea to make this album more introspective, the closest to an âedgy eraâ any industry would permit Neige going. For now.
Reference: The tracklist refers to a mix mash of popular songs of the 2000/2010s, some 80s classics and whatever felt right for this concept. The songs are performed by:
Ebony Eyes â Rick James
True Colors â Cyndi Lauper
So Yesterday â Hilary Duff
Baby Come Back â Vanessa Hudgens
Itâs Autumn Again â Britney Spears
Wide Awake â Katy Perry, cover by Glee
(Stronger) What Doesnât Kill You â Kelly Clarkson
Scars to You Beautiful â Alessia Cara
Unwritten â Natasha Bedingfield
Fight Song â Rachel PlattenÂ
Fanon/Reference: My mom listens to Ebony Eyes all the time, so this was the first song that came to mind to be a title track. Other songs are more about missing lovers or leaving your toxic ex behind, with the last four being more âmotivationalâ in terms of message.
Reference: âWide Awakeâ and â(Stronger) What Doesnât Kill Youâ are direct references to Snow Whiteâs poison incident and her comeback, with the latter also referencing Snowâs apology to the animals after being âawfully afraidâ of the forest as she was running away stuck in her mind with the fact that her own step-mother was trying to kill her. âScars to You Beautifulâ tackles the message of inner-beauty, just like the previous âNobodyâs Perfectâ.
Fanon: The thematic pipeline of tragedy to rising up is quite special for Neige and Snow White, given their stories.Â
Irl-Reference: When discussing whether Neige had power over the decisions of his album, the reference actually goes beyond Taylor Swiftâs story with Big Machine Records because itâs a problem a lot of singers and artists suffer with their own labels, especially if they go unaware of how predatory the contracts are due to their age or lack of legal support.
Reference: Got this from one of my swiftiesâ friends because the fans conceptualized at some point that the fifth song in her albums were âher most vulnerable in emotionâ and since then, Taylor followed along and reserved this slot for songs with this purpose. Here, we have the seventh track tradition because the number 7 represents the 7 Dwarves (for both Neige and Snow White).
[Album 06 â Rose]
Reference: âRoseâ is referencing Neigeâs rose red lips, just like Snow Whiteâs.Â
Cover: This managed to be barely a save because of the different shades of red. The color palette is: wine red, scarlet red, white + G.H. âsun discoâ in black contrast.Â
Symbolism (?): The editing in this close up is purposefully saturated so you can see the red in Neigeâs lips. In this timeline, heâs 13 years old and this album is more explicitly romantic than the others, with the intent in mind that the record label were just cashing in with the parasocial tendencies of the masses. Think of the first eras of Justin Bieber for example. He was also an important inspiration for these early stages.Â
Reference: The tracklist refers to a mix mash of popular songs of the 2000/2010s, with one Elvis classic and a more underrated song that I discovered while scavenging Spotify for options. The songs are performed by:
Roses Are Red â Aqua
Metamorphosis â Hilary Duff
Beautiful Soul â Jesse McCartney
Candy â Mandy Moore
Born to Make You Happy â Britney Spears
Kiss Me â Sixpence None the Richer
As Long As You Love Me â Backstreet Boys
You Belong With Me â Taylor Swift
Canât Help Falling In Love â Elvis Prestley
Sunrise â Norah Jones
Fun Fact: Aqua, the group that sings âRoses Are Redâ, are the famous group for the iconic and satiric song âBarbie Girlâ. No reference, I just thought this song goes well with the concept.
Reference: I fought with myself if I shouldâve included or not âMetamorphosisâ here because the song is good but also weird in some parts. What kinda got me is the verse âGive me a kiss/ Câmon I insistâ that does reference Snow Whiteâs romanticisms and the metamorphosis theme of becoming something else (Snow fall and rise from her rags back to the happiness she deserves).Â
Fanon/Reference: âBorn to Make You Happyâ fanon title âWritten Just For Youâ felt like an inside jab that the label could do to themselves as an open admission of what they were doing but also itâs another song chosen from Britney Spears catalog, another singer that suffered a lot with the industry.
Fanon: Despite the fact that, in this story, the label was purposefully incentivizing a parasocial nature between Neigeâs work and his fans, I feel like Neige has somewhat a genuine romanticism. Itâs just that in future albums, you feel like itâs more free and personal, like a daydream thatâs being shared and not directed at fans.
[Album 07 â Beautiful in Rags]
Cover: This album gave me the most headache because I had no idea what to do (and wanted to leave Neigeâs sweater as inspo for another album) but I wanted to maintain the âragsâ and âpatchworkâ look, mixing the feel of the rags dress but with Snow Whiteâs princess colors in focus. As if âsew into the clothâ, we have four images: the apple, the red bow, a white heart with â7â in roman algorism and a white dove. Besides them, triangle patchwork cloths with rags original colors (see Little Lord LeBlanche).Â
Reference: From Snow Whiteâs prologue, it states how Snow was clothed in rags, as per order of her jealous step-mother (similar to Cinderella). And that she was safe while the Magic Mirror didnât acknowledge her beauty⌠until that day eventually came.Â
Reference: The tracklist starts with the first three Snow Whiteâs songs (voiced by Adriana Caselotti) in the movie and it follows with a mix mash of different songs from different eras, but that reflects a bit of a SW vibe to Neige. The songs are performed by:
Iâm Wishing â Adriana Caselotti
With a Smile and a Song â Adriana Caselotti
Whistle While You Work â Adriana Caselotti
Apple Pie â Lizzy McAlpine
You Got That Thing â Conal Fowkes, original version by Cole Porter
Cherish â Kool & The Gang
Someday My Prince Will Come â Adriana Caselotti
Survivor/I Will Survive â Glee, originals by Destinyâs Child (1st) and Gloria Gaynor (2nd)
I Believe In Love â Lily Collins
Spring Snow â 10cm
I Have Confidence â Julie Andrews, âSound of Musicâ movie
Witch Doctor â Cartoons
Frown â mxmtoon
Happy â Pharrell Williams
Hay Fever â Jeremy Levif
Put Your Head On My Shoulder â Paul Anka
Bashfulness â MeloMance
Scatman â Scatman John
I Love You For All Seasons â The Fuzz
Reference: The classic âSomeday My Prince Will Comeâ, in this album is put as âPrincessâ. The headcanon is that this originated the phrase for Neigeâs beret. âI Believe in Loveâ is from a modern movie adaptation of the tale, âMirror Mirrorâ (2012). The songs from âThe Doc Is On?â to âDobey-Dobey-Dopeyâ is a direct reference to each of the 7 Dwarfs. And the last one, at 19th, is a reference to 1937.Â
Special (accidental) reference: The song for Dopeyâs (in this context, written as if Neige had Toby in mind) âScatmanâ, was written by John Larkin (âScatman Johnâ) because he stuttered since a young age and through his appreciation of jazz and scat singing, he grew to turn around what was âa problemâ into a talent and a song. I discovered this while making this behind the scenes. My initial intention with the song is that scat singing is an old-timey song style, going as early as the 1910s, and the rhyme felt natural. But with the real songâs original intention? Wow. It felt like it was made for the occasion, really! Although Iâm aware that Doc is the one who stutters the most among the seven and Dopey simply doesnât talk.Â
Reference: Other songs have the oldies vibes that I mainly associate with Neige, a little bit of soft pop, season references and other things that kinda tie with Snowâs story.
Inspiration: The feud between Taylor Swift and Scott Borchetta who sold the record label, Big Machine Records, to manager Scooter Braun and with the label, the rights to her first six albums [timeline here]. Before that sale, however, Taylor changed her label to Republic Records. Obviously is not a 1 for 1 retelling but the bones of the dispute is mainly about how predatory the music industry can be. I actually forgot I put the exact same number of albums for Neige (lmao). I was mostly focused on the fact that the 7th album needed to be special for him, given the importance of the number.
Fun Fact: Itâs stated that everything was resolved when an unknown someone purchased all Neigeâs masters from GHC. and gifted them back to him. I made it vague and mysterious on purpose. While Iâll remain neutral on ships, I wanted to give this moment to Neigeâs ships in case this inspires someoneâs fanfic or a platonic moment, if you want. I know who I picked for my personal headcanon tho~
Reference: âAlba Cottageâ forms the acronym âA.C.â, which stands for Adriana Caselotti. It was sort of perfect because âalbaâ means âwhiteâ and Adrianaâs name means âdark/blackâ, two of SWâs characteristics. The âCottageâ part comes from the Dwarfs cottage, where Snow finds asylum from the Queenâs wrath.Â
Semi/Canon (?): The tidbit about being a countryside label comes from Dominic saying they live on the other side of Mount Moln, which puts them in a somewhat vague neighbouring village to Harveston (Harveston event, chapter 4-1). They donât elaborate more on what that means, though, considering that Neige probably needed to live in Fairest City for his acting career and helping at the house at the same time. So I thought of making a little homage to this fact. We do need, desperately, more light on this fact however.
Canon/Reference: In Book 7, during Vilâs dream, Rook reveals that Neige was awarded as Best Actor at the Diamond Movie Awards (the Twst equivalent of the Oscars) at 14 years old. According to the Disney Wiki, itâs an old misconception that Snow White was meant to be literally 14 years old in the story. They needed a jovial feel for her, as a teenage character, but her age is never outright stated in this version of the tale.Â
Symbolism: One thing I really wanted for this album is to feel very authentic to what we know, for now, about Neige and give this sentiment that heâs really putting in the work to express himself (hence the very eclectic tracklist). Like Snow, Neige managed to find his steps to a new kind of journey of freedom and dignity.
Fun Fact/Fanon: While we see Neigeâs name written in cursive fonts in other albums, this one (in Mr. Dafoe font) is repeated in the next ones as his real handwriting signature (at least in my headcanon). Also as a way to symbolize Neigeâs full ownership of his albums. His full signature is used in the next album, here is just as a monogram next to the songlist.Â
[Album 08 â Wonderful Holidays]
Inspiration: Holiday albums are a common occurrence in many styles of the music industry (imagine Neige is someone elseâs Mariah Carey lol) and I felt it tied perfectly with Neige and Snow White, not only because of the obvious âsnowâ association, but also because the movie was released on December 21. Which means Snow White is a Christmas movie like Die Hard or Lord of the Rings. Fight me.
Cover: The image is from an illustration of âBetter Homes & Gardenâ magazine, December 1930. I wanted a vintage feel for this album cover and I really liked this image when I saw it, plus the border makes it look like a post-card. First time Neige uses his full âsignatureâ.Â
Reference: The tracklist has a mix mash of old classic and modern Christmas songs. The songs are performed by:
Let It Snow â Dean Martin
Hark! The Herald Angels Sing â Frank Sinatra
Christmas Tree Farm â Taylor Swift
Winter Wonderland â Michael BublĂŠ
Mistletoe â Justin Bieber
Silent Night â Michael BublĂŠ
The Holidays With You â Sara Watkins
Morning After Night â Sarah Kang ft. Sam Ock
Jingle Bells â Frank Sinatra
Mr. Snowman â Sarah Kang ft. Sam Ock
Itâs a Marshmallow World â Jo Strafford
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas â Frank Sinatra
Reference: âSnowy Wonderlandâ, as in âWinter Wonderlandâ, is indeed because of the many-times aforementioned princess but also because of the Wonderland connotation of Twstâs world.Â
Reference: âCardigans and Ugly Sweatersâ comes from Neigeâs signature student uniform sweater. I truly believe he really loves his sweaters.Â
[Album 09 â Fairest Of Hearts â A Tribute]
Cover: The image used is from an old Snow White promotional poster. The full version is signed by Adriana Caselotti and itâs seen in one of her houseâs doors (check trivia in âAngel, Elegant, Lovelyâ ahead). The font is similar to SWâs title screen and the use of light yellow and dark blue comes from her princess dress. The second image is from 2001 Platinum Edition and the 2016 Signature Collection.
Reference: Itâs an overview of Snow Whiteâs movie story, but with the changes following the Twst mindset that the Evil Queen existed separately from Snow (thus several murder attempts didnât happen⌠in this version of the facts). It narrates how she became an orphan, sought help from the Queen (not confirmed in canon), worked hard for a lot of years, met the dwarves and eventually reunited with the love of her life, the Prince. What is called âthe third age of cinemaâ is a reference to the decade of 30.Â
Reference: The tracklist has a variety of pop and soft-pop songs, with a few outliers in the middle because of their similarity with the plot here stated. The songs are performed by:
Papa Paris â Vanessa Paradis
Someday My Prince â Evynne Hollens
My Destiny â Katharine McPhee
With a Smile And a Songâ Doris Day
So Close â Jon McLaughlin
Secret Love â Mandy Moore
Friends Will Be Friends â Queens
Iâm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman â Britney Spears
I Hope You Dance â Lee Ann Womack
True Loveâs Kiss â Amy Addams ft. James Marsden
This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) â Natalie Cole
If You Can Dream â Disney Princesses
Youâre Still the One â Shania Twain
Your Crowning Glory â Julie Andrews ft. Raven SymonĂŠ
Reference: The 13th song, âBet My House on Youâ, references a real life occurrence in Walt Disneyâs life during the making of Snow White. When the budget for the movie started to thin out and they were barely finished, Disney put his Los Angeles house as mortgage. Even before the fact, the whole idea of a feature film in cartoon/animated format was a huge bet for the studios, Hollywood insiders called it âDisneyâs Follyâ in the newspapers. But somehow like his heroine, Disney and the studios turned the tables around when the film brought in $8.5 million during its initial international release and it became the highest-grossing sound film of its time (until âGone with the Windâ surpassed it in late 1939).
Concept: The idea was that Neige made two album tributes to his greatest artistic and personality inspirations, one of them being the Selfless Princess, as Snow is known in Twst. While itâs not uncommon for singers to compose or perform songs with a celebrity in mind, a whole album about this person is indeed hard to come up with. Here, the Snow White movie is thought to be the equivalent of a biopic (obviously following the recounting of events as Twst remembers it).
[Album 10 â Angel, Elegant, Lovely â A Tribute]
Inspiration: This idea came from getting to know a little more about the life of Adriana Caselotti, who gave her voice to Snow White.
Cover: These are real photos of Adriana Caselotti. Cover photos: young and old. Tracklist photo. As sister-album of FoH, AEL utilizes the red used in Snowâs figure on the tracklist. Iâm still not sure how I want to make the character of Caselena Adrietta in the story (if sheâs still living in Neigeâs current time, for example) but I thought it was fair to honor Adrianaâs past in full glory. You may also notice that in the tracklist photos, both Snow and Adriana are holding an apple, parallel to each other.
Reference: The tracklist has very few songs linked because Adrianaâs career came to a halt due to her contract with Disney, keeping her uncredited in the few roles she got at the time. Each title is referring to a role Adriana acted and some stories of her life:
Dancing Doll in the movie âNaughty Marietta (1935)â
Bunny Girl in the Silly Symphonies cartoon short, âToby Tortoise Returns (1936)â
Peasant Girl in the movie âFirst Peasant Girl (1937)â
Snow White in the animated movie of the same name (1937)
Robot Nurse Maid in the Donald Duck short âModern Inventions (1937)â
Gilda in the opera play from Verdiâs âRigolettoâ. When stopped from acting, the Caselottiâs urged Adriana to try to follow on her mother and sister footsteps in the opera scene but her three attempts at playing Gilda were very unsuccessful and she gave up on doing opera.
Juliet in a verse for the Tin-manâs song âIf I Only Had a Heartâ in âThe Wizard of Oz (1939)â. Â
Opera singer in the movie âWe Were Dancing (1942)â
Pom Pom in âHoboâs Lady (1945)â
Singer at the Martiniâs Bar in the iconic Christmas movie âItâs A Wonderful Life (1946)â
Opera singer in the movie âTwo Sisters from Boston (1946)â but also referring to her sister, Marie Louise, who was an opera singer and teacher of Maria Callas
You Are Loved (Donât Give Up) â Josh Groban. The song I chose to express the importance Adriana had to the movie and the character.
âA Princess Smileâ. Referring to her love for Snow White, despite everything that happened. She was famous for her SW memorabilia in her house.Â
âMay Your Voice Echo Foreverâ. So her memory isnât forgotten.
Reference: âCaselena Adriettaâ is a play on the real actressâs full name: Adriana Elena Loretta Caselotti. The initial letters of her three first names also form the albumâs title.Â
Concept: I wanted to have this moment to appreciate Adrianaâs performance and her life story, just as much as I appreciate Disneyâs commitment to his story and his dream for the movie while recognizing that he wasnât perfect by any means.Â
Considerations: I wish he wasnât so stubborn over ânot ruining the magicâ of Snowâs voice, just because I think much suffering could have been avoided. But people of the time period didnât have the relationship we have today with voice acting and its actors. The industry itself can be a little difficult even when youâve had the role of your life: basically, you canât do anything else because the public will remember âoh, this person is [this character] from [that]!â. But I also didnât want to simply paint this as solely the tragedy of Adrianaâs life. It was difficult but she remained strong against all the odds of her life inside or outside the industry, still smiled and was gentle with everyone. And I wanted that resilience, kindness and beauty to be remembered and appreciated most of all.
[Album 11 â Blue Bird Boy]Â
Cover: Itâs a bit of a play in the design of Neigeâs student uniform sweater, with a few differences (bc I couldnât get it to look 100% the same, so weâre stuck with âwe have Neigeâs sweater at homeâ). Thereâs the inclusion of the blue bird but the one from this frame. The title is âBlue Bird Boyâ for Snowâs kinship to the little bird she rescues that got lost from his parents, before the Huntsman breaks down in tears. The bird appears again to assure the other animals that Snow is kind and she means her apology that she was scared.
Symbolism: While both the Evil Queen and Vil are symbolized by the Peacock, a majestic bird with a beautiful feather tail, a classic symbol for beauty, Snow White and Neige are symbolized by the Blue Bird, a small bird with a simple yet honest beauty. In other moments, she's symbolized by a dove, iconic for its innocence theme. In the tracklist part, that same bird is repeated as three, representing the blue bird family in the movie. The other idea is that Neige incorporated this design as his sweater as we know it, with the aforementioned modifications.Â
Fanon: Similar to BiR, BBB (or 3B) is a more personal focused album instead of tributes or for promotional causes.
Reference: The tracklist has a variety of songs, ranging from pop to soft pop, old and new, but that fit Neigeâs aesthetic:
Man in the Mirror â Michael Jackson
Canât Fight This Feeling â JoJo
Time After Time â Cyndi Lauper
Sing Your Worries Away â Alvino Rey
Put Your Records On â Corinne Bailey Rae
Bette Davis Eyes â Kim Carnes
Pocket Full of Sunshine â Natasha Bedinfield
Love Potion NÂş9 â The Searchers
Around The World â A Touch of Class
Youâre My Inspiration â Chicago
Nothingâs Gonna Stop Me Now â Olivia Holt, movie âGirl vs Monsterâ
Youâll Always Find Your Way Back Home â Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana
Every Time We Touch â Cascada
Never Gonna Give You Up â Rick Astley
References: âBoy In The Mirrorâ has the exact same message as its irl counterpart, from Michael Jackson. Similar to the other fanon music, âCracks In My Mirrorâ, the idea is that instead of viewing the mirror as a source of vanity or anxiety, the singer/listener finds the courage to better themselves first and share that with the world.Â
Fun Fact/Canon: The 10th song, âA Crow Sings Me A Verseâ is a reference to Rook himself. NÂş10 is his seat number as a third year and âRookâ is the name of a type of crow.Â
Fanon: Thereâs a few things to consider like how Neige wouldnât be able to know that Rookâs seat would be nÂş10 and, following the time of âreleaseâ of this album, Rook was a 2nd year and we donât know if the boys stay on their numbers throughout all their years. But I liked to imagine this is already Rookâs favorite song because itâs a love letter to the fans and it doubles his joy when he reaches 3rd year, goes to the same class as Leona and his seat is nÂş10. Itâs fate, mes ami!!Â
Rickroll: Yes. I did that. No, I donât regret a thing. Iâm 100% sold on my own premise that they would use Minna de Yahoo was Twst-in-universe Rickroll and thatâs me right that putting that fantasy on a metaphorical screen.
[Album 12 â We Are The Land]
Cover: The first image is of five animal couples in the party with Snow and the Dwarfs, this exact moment is when she sings about the Prince. Because sheâs sharing her love, everybody feels emotional and caring with each other, since itâs a universal feeling that brings unity. The second image is from a bridge before reaching the Dwarfs home, representing a bridge between people.
Inspiration: This came as inspiration from the album âWe Are The Worldâ and the song of the same name, written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Ritchie for USA for Africa. The idea of a supergroup charity album in a collaborative effort seemed to go hand-in-hand for Neigeâs aspirations of helping people through various forms. âWorldâ is changed to âLandâ, as in Twisted Wonderland.
References: The tracklist consists of emotional, motivational or friendly songs, most of them from the 80s. They are performed by:
We Are the World â USA for Africa
Heal the World â Michael Jackson
The Power of Love â Huey Lewis & The News
Let It Be â The Beatles
Donât Stop Believinâ â Journey
Iâll Be There For You â The Rembrandts
You Are Not Alone â Michael Jackson
Stand By Me â Ben E. King
Here Comes The Sun â The Beatles
Under Pressure â Queen
Radio Ga Ga â Queen
For Your Babies â Simply Red
Make Your Own Kind of Music â Cass Elliot
Count Me In â Dove Cameron
Canon: Taking back the point from âTSoMâ: âItâs revealed by Rook that Neige gives most of his pay to charities, although only the fan club manages to track the details down as this fact isnât often made public. (chapter 6, episode 6) Vil says that heâs certain Neige gave his VDC prize to a charity âthat aids unprivileged children in their futuresâ.
Reference: Neigeâs chosen solo song âAre You Alone?â is the title of Michael Jacksonâs song âYou Are Not Aloneâ in question form, existing as the many-times-referred seventh track with utmost importance. While the song was originally composed by R Kelly and unfortunately seems to be a fruit of plagiarism, the feeling expressed by Michaelâs vocals and other singersâ covers rang true to many people at the time. The chorus reiterates unity and feeling connected to someoneâs heart. I thought of it as Neige dedicating this to his adoptive brothers, the dwarfs, because as tough it was for them growing up, they were there for him and he was there for them.Â
[Album 13 â Dove Of My Heart]
Cover: The image is from the wishing well scene, with the doves accompanying Snow to the well while she picks up some more water to wash the stairs and daydreaming about meeting the love of her life. Neigeâs name is used in another font, like in BiR, and with a pink-to-green gradient like the flower vines in the well. The tracklist image is inspired by the Princeâs clothes.Â
Inspiration: A Snow White based character? Without another romantic album? Impossible!
Tracklist: Most of these are love pop songs, with a few different ones that deal more with emotion (âLove of My Life, Funeral Bouquetâ) and motivation (âPeace Signâ). They are performed by:
King of My Heart â Taylor Swift
What Dreams Are Made Of â Hilary Duff (2026 ver, âMine EPâ)
Love You Like a Love Song â Selena Gomez
Princess of Power â MARINA
Apple Pie â Surely Shirley
Love of My Life â Queen
Funeral Bouquet â Sam Parsons
Daylight â Taylor Swift
Paper Rings â Taylor Swift
Pump It Up â Earl Gregoy, movie âThe Substanceâ, original by Danzel
Your Love is King â Sade
Peace Sign â NateWantsToBattle, original by Kenshi Yonezu
Oh, Pretty Woman â Pomplamoose, original by Roy Orbison
I Will Follow You â Ricky Nelson
If You Donât Know Me by Now â Simply Red
Nothingâs Gonna Change My Love â Glenn Medeiros
Timeline: DoMH is set before Neigeâs 17th birthday, while heâs already enrolled at Royal Sword Academy.Â
Reference: Sixteen is the number of songs because, in numerology, it would form 6 + 1 which equals 7, our dear little lucky number.
Fun Fact: One of the songs used is âPrincess Powerâ from the album of same name, by Marina. In the visualizer for another song in the album, âCupidâs Girlâ, sheâs using a blue corset and a yellow skirt, which many people immediately associated with Snow White. I couldnât find anything about Marina denying or confirming if this was deliberate or a coincidence.Â
Reference: The song âPump It Upâ is used for the body horror movie âThe Substanceâ, dealing with some of the key themes of beauty of the SWâs tale (even if itâs not directly based on that). The story follows Elizabeth, who was a star many decades ago but got fired for being past her prime and the company wanted to reinvent her show with a new, younger lead. In an act of desperation, she uses the substance and it creates Sue, whoâs still her but âbetterâ and âyoungerâ, but her vices and carelessness start to endanger their very own body.Â
Reference: The songs titles âDelusions In a Crystal Coffinâ, âWhite Flowers Bouquetâ, âOh, To Wake Up and See Youâ and âYour Love Defy Even Magicâ relate to Snow White state after being poisoned by the Queenâs apple. She lays down in a âsleep of deathâ yet her heart remains alive. The Princeâs true love kiss is what awakens her, being the antidote for the poison.Â
Symbolism: Try as they might to separate the themes of love from Snow White, itâs an essential part of her story, especially in the 1937âs version. The Queen denied Snow the love of a step-mother in the face of her fatherâs death but she didnât get bitter and never let herself down. This love she maintains in her heart against all odds is what awakens the friendship/family love from the animals and the Dwarfs, brings compassion in the Huntsmanâs heart and catches the love of the Prince (who in some drafts/versions already knew her from childhood).Â
[Additional things]
I wanted to leave an open ending for this discography with the 14th album because, as the symbolism would have it as 7+7, the fictitious pressure would be off the charts and I also wanted to know more about Neige to discover where he would want to go next after all of thisâŚ
Would he go in a Reputation era sorta direction? Just for a moment? Not for the âohhh Iâm so edgy and sadâ that Ebony tried to be but, truly honest and raw? Or triple down on what his values and beliefs are? His last stand for the value that resilience is not a scream against the world but to stay put even through the storm?Â
And thatâs mostly it because Iâm not even sure if Neige had a music career. Let me explain the reasoning behind these delusions of mine!Â
In Book 5, Jamil hypnotizes Neige to distract the crowds with songs while they are out there fighting Vil on the stage. We, the player, hear âMinna de Yahooâ in the distance to confirm this is going according to plan. But I interpret that as the game putting a song placeholder because itâs just so we get it that 1) Neige is singing; 2) things are under control.
Because it would wear out the freshness of âMinnaâ if Neige was singing however many times during the timespan of the overblot fight and it wouldnât make sense in-universe. Like, people would find it odd that he was singing the same thing over and over. Asking for a reprise is one thing, a loop is completely another.Â
So I started imagining what would be like if Neige had other songs (a whole career actually) and seeing the posts of people making disco covers of Neige for their Rooks in Tomodachi Life was the last match to start this fire. Sadly I didnât save the posts at the same </3 otherwise I would put them here because, believe me, you folks inspired me a lot!! And the rest is history.
This took a lot of time, I had countless twists and turns, a terrible moment when it seemed I lost everything but going through the whole story around this movie, the story and Neige himself, is a testimony that you shouldnât stop in your tracks but rather keep going and trying your best.
Donât lose your kindness. Donât lose your love, your passion. Itâs another side of the effort that Pomefiore values the most, if you think about it. Because, be it for any of the characters, itâs a story of not giving up and keep moving forward.Â
So thank you for reading until here, my dear snowbirds, apple-seeds, snow blooms, winterblooms, blanchefleurs, snowflowers, applings, snow apples, snowflakes and blanchies! <3
I wish the best for you all and have a nice day~ for our snow prince will come someday and may the Twst fandom have patience to deal with us when that happen.
Eternal Snow Fan Club Forum [Post by Member 0000002, R. | Subsection Neigeâs Music | July 30rd, 19:37h P.M.]
Salute, mes Snowbirds!
Itâs an absolute beautĂŠ of a spring season, little flowers in bloom after the harsh winter snow and with their blossoming come the seeds of the next circle of life. As the fanclub surely noticed, we have a new wave of beautiful little applings sprouting in our forest after Neige's presentation at the VDC this year!
So, as one of the oldest members, I said to myself this is the great opportunity to give the new apple blooms a little history over our dear snowy-skinned prince~Â
Neige Le Blanche started his career a long time ago but not a lot of people that come from a more âcasual fanâ background are completely familiar with the details.
If itâs your cĹurâs desire to participate in the Eternal Snow club, itâs our duty as the seniors to initiate you in the tales of old, as it was once upon a timeâŚÂ
[Disclaimer: The songs used here are merely as an illustrative example, based on musical vibes, references or other details explained in the Behind the Post.] [Warning: the post exceeded the number of links, so albums 9 to 13 are sadly linkless until I manage to fix that </3]
I. The Sword of Majesty
The Legend of the Sword: Overture (ft. the Jeweled Hills Children Choir)
I Want Your Attention, Everything!
Kingâs Road Theme (ft. the Jeweled Hills Children Choir)
Knowledge Moves the World
Love Is a Wild Squirrel
Marvelous Mad Madame [Solo Version]
Blue Oak Tree
The Magic KeyÂ
History: Neigeâs career started as young as 10 years old, playing the protagonist in the theater play âKingâs Road: The Sword of Majestyâ, which tells the story of a boy in his journey to become the king for a country in dire need of leadership. Itâs considered one of the three greatest musicals of all time until this day.Â
When the Pyroxene Royal Theater went on tour across the world, the head directors commissioned a personalized album sung entirely by Neige as a tie-in promotional material, banking on his rising popularity as a new child star in the drama scene. In technicality, this is his first debut album.Â
The Jeweled Hills Children Choir as a feature in the overture and the theme was the only condition Neige had for the job, which proved to be the best news for them as a group. Their involvement on the two tracks brought in new patrons for the seemingly cast aside orphanage due to the albumâs massive success.
II. Little Lord Le BlancheÂ
The Way You Look Today
Face to Face
Atrium SerenadeÂ
Over the Hills
Sing (Isnât It Sweet?)
Feel the BeguineÂ
Snowy WonderlandÂ
History: At 11 years old, Neige starred in his first feature film as the childrenâs book adaptation of the same name, âLittle Lord Gemstoneâ, that tells the story of an orphan boy who is taken in by seven brothers who recently discovered him to be their long-lost heir.
In the same vein as âThe Sword of Majestyâ, this album was also made as a promotional tie-in, showcasing Neigeâs covers of famous songs of the book/movieâs time period. Itâs heavily pointed as the reason for his occasional old-timey style in future albums.
The name is a reference to the movie, mixing in Neigeâs own full name. What an adorable nod to the little singer~!
III. Middle School Musical: Gabriel / Neige
Start of Something [Solo Ver]
I Was Looking For You [Solo Ver]
Just The Math Boy
When It Was Only Me and You
Soaring [Solo Ver]
Is This My Voice? Finally?
Weâre All Together [Solo Ver]
Music In You [Solo Ver]
My Own Way
Life-saver
Number One in My Heart
Let Us Dance
History: Finally, at the age of 12, Neige got his breakthrough role as Gabriel Edelstein in the feature film âMiddle School Musicalâ, starring with the likes of Vil Schoenheit, who also came to grow his own name and fanbase.
Due to the movieâs success, the studio released a special album with each member of the childrenâs main cast containing their character songs, demos and solo versions. After that, Neige was officially signed with G. H. Castle Records, who brought his two previous albums along with this one and was the distributor of this movieâs soundtrack. They went to create other three albums with him as weâll see.
IV. SnowÂ
Snow [lead single]
Princess [2nd single]
Anybody Can Be Beautiful [3rd single]
Turn Up The Radio
Miles Ahead
Boys Just Wanna Have Fun
Be-Do-Boo-Boop
(Your Majesty) Bring Me A Dream
Soap Dripping In the Staircase
Sugar and Spice
History: A couple months apart from âGabriel/Neigeâ, âSnowâ released at an all-time high in Neigeâs career, following weeks at the top numbers of the Twisted Billboard.
Being the first of the retroactively considered by fans âtri-colorâ series, the concept for this album was written with Neigeâs innocent image as center stage, carefully crafted by the executives at GHC.
Its singles are âSnowâ as the title-track, âPrincessâ as the second and âAnybody Can Be Beautifulâ, both becoming hits of the time and some of his long lasting old successes.
V. EbonyÂ
Ebony [lead single]
True Colors
Leave Yesterday Behind
Back To Where We Began
Goodbye
Trying To Wake Up
Awfully Afraid [2nd single]
Cracks In My Mirror
Can You Hear My Voice? [3rd single]
History: The album âEbonyâ came out as soon as Neige turned 13, promising to bring an âedgeâ to him. The edge was sadder songs that werenât so common in his repertoire, bringing this concept of rare introspection and tragedy to the happy-go-lucky boy we were so used to. But it ends on a triumphant track of effort and hope for a better future, which managed to keep the faith of the fans.
Its singles are âEbodyâ as title track, âAwfully Afraidâ as the hit success and âCan You Hear My Voice?â as the third single with an approximate success.
Due to the secretive behind the scenes motions of the record label, we donât know for sure how much power Neige had over the albums decisions but it started here the tradition of the seventh track being the most personal of all (which will be analyzed on the other albums).
History: âRoseâ was the second album 13 year old Neige was pushed to release by the end of that same year. Back to fashion with the happier songs yet with the theme of romance at its peak, âRedâ was the first fully romantic Neige album released at that time (unaware of his future thematic streak).Â
Its singles are âRoseâ as title track, âGive Me a Kissâ as second single and, to top it off, âI Wear Sweatersâ was the hit of that season. This album, although romantic and upbeat, also represented the end of not only a series but an era. It was the last work of Neige under the G. H. C. Records.
37 Reasons Why I Dream Of YouÂ
History: The year of his 14th birthday, Neige and his agent underwent a legal battle for the rights to his first six albums with the G. H. Castle Records label, which lasted months, having begun behind the scenes a little after âRoseâ had released.
Then rather mysteriously, all was resolved with the anonymous purchase of the masters and they were gifted back to Neige. He then went to sign to â and continues until this day â Alba Cottage Records, a smaller but steady in growth label localized in the Pyroxene countryside.Â
Itâs rumored that Neige wrote himself all nineteen songs during the legal ordeal to relieve stress, the most songs any of his albums ever received. This started his effort in being more self-written than only providing performance, although he doesnât deny any good written songs that come his way.
Its has âWishing Well, Kiss and Tellâ as lead single, âSomeday My Princess Will Comeâ as famous seventh track and hit single, â(Youâre Still) Beautiful In Ragsâ as third single and, which was never seen before in Neigeâs work until that moment, a fourth single in the form of âDobey-Dobey-Dopeyâ.
Most songs from âBeautiful in Ragsâ actually managed to hold their water in comparison to previous works, being one of Neigeâs popular albums â and his seventh one as its own hallmark!
Another point of success at that time for recently 14 year old Neige was staring at a movie which gained for him the Best Actor Award at the Diamond Movie Awards, being the youngest recipient of the title yet.
VIII. Wonderful HolidaysÂ
Finally Kiss Goodbye [cover]
The Herald Seraphs Hymn [cover]
History: At the end of that same year, during the winter holiday season, Neige released this as a thematic special album, composed of covers of holiday classics, performance of a few selected pieces composed for him, a new version of âSnowy Wonderlandâ (see Little Lord Le Blanche) and three self-composed songs. Winter is known to be Neigeâs second favorite season, losing only to spring.Â
This album didnât have any singles but all songs dominated the holiday season of that time and some continue to be listened to around the same time until now.
IX. Fairest Of Hearts â A TributeÂ
Dear Papa and Mama
Join In the Whistle
My Friends Forever More
Just a Princess (Not Yet a Queen)Â
SurvivorÂ
True Loveâs KissÂ
Wedding Bells Ring
A Queen Is Born
History: At the age of 15, Neige embarked on a journey to craft an ambitious project that aimed to be a tribute to his historic idol, the Selfless Princess and the biopic film that was made of her in the third age of cinema.Â
Regarding this album, Neige tells the most famous tales of the Selfless Princessâ life, drawing a picture of a young girl, just like himself, that had her falls but didnât let the rainy clouds stop the sun from shining bright.
The last two tracks were written thinking of the behind the scenes regarding the biopic film and its necessary contributions to cinema at the time.Â
âJust a Princess (Not Yet a Queen)â is particularly strong on oneâs feelings of responsibilities but feeling not being up to the task, one of most famous tracks of the album. Particularly, the Eternal Snowâs favorite track had to be âMy Friends Forever Moreâ. Oui, oui! The seventh one strikes again!~
X. Angel, Elegant, Lovely â A Tribute
Dance, Sweet Little Doll
May Your Voice Echo Forever
History: During an interview in the promotional tour of the album, released a couple months after âFairest of Heartsâ, Neige shared the story about the impact the movie âSelfless Princess and the Master Dwarfsâ had on him as a kid and the marvellous interpretation of actress Caselena Adrietta as the princess herself. The directing, the music, the acting, the bold cinema innovations â everything shaped him into the most beautiful soul we all love.Â
Unfortunately, the movieâs history has its own kind of blemishes that, although occult by the industryâs strongholds of that decade, didnât completely escape Neigeâs eye. That would be the short career of Ms. Adrietta in the following years after the historic biopic.
âAngel, Elegant, Lovelyâ is his tribute to her work and her sincerity, even when all it remained for her was to be known as the âcinematic adaptation faceâ of the Selfless Princess.
Each track is listed after one small uncredited role that Ms. Adrietta acted through her life, Neige serving as a narrator. Track 11 is a homage to her late older sister, a famous opera actress and teacher, and Tracks 12 to 14 cover Neigeâs personal feelings toward her and his appeal that her legacy isnât left behind by newer generations nor overshadowed by the mistakes of the director.Â
XI. Blue Bird BoyÂ
A Crow Sings Me A Verse [special single]
Where Iâm Meant To Be
Back HomeÂ
âCuz EverytimeÂ
Make You Understand [3rd single]
History: Last year was one of the busiest years for Neige yet, believe me, mes snowbirds. By my calculations, he probably came around to start writing it amidst turning 16 years old. It was a month past his birthday when this album was released.Â
âBlue Bird Boyâ is considered an album thatâs âback to Neigeâs originsâ. A good, well-meaning mix of romantic and optimistic songs, a soft mix of styles across instrumentals as it became his trademark. As you can notice in the tribute albums, this one and the next, Neigeâs tracklist consists of fourteen songs (two times seven).
âBoy in the Mirrorâ is the lead single, the famous seventh track âBeret Full Of Sunshineâ became a hit single and the third single was âMake You Understandâ.
A few weeks after launch, Neige revealed the tenth track, âA Crow Sings Me a Verseâ as a surprise single with a music and lyric video, which fans greatly enjoyed as this song was written as an open letter of gratitude for our support all these years. Itâs a song for old and new fans alike.Â
XII. We Are The Land (Various Artists)Â
We Are The LandÂ
Heal
Love is a Powerful ThingÂ
Let It (Be)Â
Hold On to That FeelingÂ
You Been There For MeÂ
Are You Alone? [Solo]
Stand, Stand, StandÂ
The SunÂ
PressureÂ
We All HearÂ
I Believe In YouÂ
Your Own MusicÂ
Count Me InÂ
History: The initiative âWe Are The Landâ became a collaborative album initiated by Neige with a variety of artists from different ages and musical backgrounds, that culminated with all the revenue being directed to important charities across the world. Most songs feature up to five artists, Neige participating in some of them. The title-single has the entire group singing together.
Due to the overlap between fanbases, itâs one of the best sold albums in billboard history and itâs in this list because heâs considered the founder of the cause.Â
Despite being initially hesitant, the group of artists convinced Neige to have at least one entirely solo song in the album, which is the seventh one, âAre You Alone?â. While still protecting their identities from the major public, he dedicated this song to his family.
XIII. Dove Of My HeartÂ
Dove Of My HeartÂ
Hey Now! [1st single]
Put It On RepeatÂ
Love Doesnât Make You Weak [2nd single]
Brand New PieÂ
Delusions In a Crystal CoffinÂ
White Flower Bouquet [3rd single]
Oh, To Wake Up and See You [4th single]
Flower RingsÂ
Take CareÂ
Feeling New and SafeÂ
Heart SignÂ
Pretty, Pretty, PrettyÂ
Follow YouÂ
Youâll Never Know ThemÂ
Your Love Defy Even Magic [5th single]
History: âDove of My Heartâ is Neigeâs most recent album, released a few months before his 17th birthday date. It was quite the news back in the day for having sixteen songs, as opposed to the pattern of fourteen, and is the second largest album of his career.Â
Not only that, it launched five different singles instead of only three: the pop love celebrations of âHey Now!â and âLove Doesnât Make You Weakâ, the slow love ballads of âOh, To Wake Up and See Youâ and âYour Love Defy Even Magicâ, and the unexpected melancholics âDelusions In a Crystal Coffinâ (although this one isnât a single) and âWhite Flowers Bouquetâ, respectively in honor of broken hearts and beloved deceased ones.Â
Most of the songs here are at Neigeâs highest level of romanticism, showcasing yet again the importance that he gives to genuine feelings and, even if idealistic, the comforting light of old fairytales, in the meanwhile he wrote a few more introspective songs to balance things out.Â
XIV. [Up Coming]
Salutations again, mes snowbirds!Â
As of today, Neige still hasnât released any new material, apart from his group rendition of âMinna de Yahooâ in the VDC, but expectation is slowly boiling since the next one will be his 14th album at the age of 17. And this is big. I will spare you, mes amis, of the rambles I could go on about the deep symbolism of the number seven in Neigeâs life and how this is another stepstone that heâs going to build! Oui, Iâll contain myself this time.
Neige is currently in his second year at prestigious Royal Sword Academy and, while itâs been quiet without his new musical compositions gracing this world, we all know he should be taking this time off to enjoy things in life and come back to the music industry with a renowned spirit.
Thatâs not to say that heâs completely off the public life and not participating in movies or advertisements, to which the subsection of Neigeâs Cinema has been in the highest spirits with the upcoming movie adaptation of Kingâs Road. My personal congratulations as well!Â
I was particularly glad to see that Neige seems to be doing well with his friends and that his smile continues to be one of the most beautiful in the entire world.
My purpose of sharing all these stories are to highlight Neigeâs greatest quality and the reason he inspired so many of us: even when things donât go the way we expected or the world seems to try to get us trapped in a scary forest, as long as we donât give up, we can still wake up and rise again to another day.Â
Letâs get together again for the next news, as we always do! It was a pleasure to meet you all and to reminisce on the beautiful history that has our biggest star, Neige. Good morning, good afternoon and good night, fellow snowbirds!
I humbly ask for your attention and help! I've finished a discography post about Neige and I thought of giving a nickname for the members of the Eternal Snow Fan Club, since only the club's name is canon. Share it with other Neige fans if possible! I would appreciate it <3
the names:
snow blooms
snowflowers
blanchefleurs
winterblooms
apple-seeds
snowbirds
other suggestions in the comments! (will lead to a 1 day poll on 29th)
Voting ended onJul 30
Concepts/explanations under the cut:
The concepts:
Reason: Like Taylor have "swifties", Ariana have "arianators", Justin has "beliebers", etc.
Flowers: There's a small change of seasons during the movie, especially in the finale to signalize that the Dwarves were grieving Snow White for a long time. But when the Prince arrives, it's the end of the winter and beginning of spring. "Fleur" means "flower".
Snow: The fanclub is named Eternal Snow. So just like spring, winter is also on board to be a motif.
Blanche: Neige's surname and it means "white" in French. It's a little parassocial but all fandom nicknames are a little bit. Comes it the deal.
Apple-seeds: Because apple is the motif of Snow White, it's related to seasons bc apples come from flowers and you could tie in that Neige represents them on his sweater (the "drops" in red that are reminiscent of seeds and the details in Snow's dress sleeves).
I THEREBY PROCLAME VICTORY FOR THE SNOWBIRDS!! THANK YOU <3
To everyone who voted on the other nicknames and gave some suggestions, thank you all the same! Just wanted to clarify that the last bit about the 1 day poll/29th was if that slot was voted more than the rest, so then the poll would be a contest among all the suggestions. But because a lot of people really liked the names, in the end it wasn't necessary.
Thank you for everyone who shared and all the 149 votes! Please wait for Neige's Discography and the little behind the scenes I'll release in the profile (linked in the discography too) in a short while~~
