these are hard times for dreamers

Excessive heat warning be damned. It may feel like 110F out there but, in my enclosed patio with enough fans going, I can keep it hovering around 85 and it's a delight.

Best upgrade made to this house was screening in the patio. I still get to enjoy outside and not melt or get eaten up by bugs in the summers. Plus there's something about sitting out here. Like, I could curl up in a cozy chair inside and read for a few hours, but in the end I may feel sleepy and a bit dull. But I can read outside for hours on end and somehow feel energized.

In the words of George Costanza when justifying leaving his house to go watch a movie at someone else's house, "I'm out of the house. I'm doing something!"

There's something to that.

Anyway.

It's my final short work day of the month today before having to work a full Friday next week. Scheduling the entirety of June and July full of short Fridays was a wise choice on my part. Even if it was unintentional. As you can see, I'm working quite hard. The patio, it calls me.

Also, glasses on or glasses off. It's a tough choice.
