“Louis abandoning me like Hugo did.”

“He knows me too well, so I’d have to be subtle about it or he’d catch on quick. I think I’d disillusion a bald spot on the back of his head since he’s so proud of his looks. Maybe I’d write ‘Lovestruck Fool’ there too. In pink glitter, of course.”

“I’m a coward when it matters most. I can break the little rules, but when it really matters I hide.”

“Not if someone planned this. You have all the time in the world if you did.”

“How could someone have planned this? Magical theory is just that, theory. We don’t know enough about how magic works to stop it!”

“Somebody gets it.”

“This is a natural phenomenon though, right? No one could organize an attack quick enough to take advantage of the storm. Not a good one at least.”

“I mean technically they can kick us anytime they want but no way we’ll be bad, we practiced so much. Well, you practiced more so maybe you’ll be better. Merde, I should have practiced more.” Louis shoved his hands in his pockets. “But we’ll be fine. We’re good at quidditch. It’s in our blood.”

“You’re not supposed to say they can kick us!” Roxy said, looking over at him in shock. “God I hope we’ll be fine. Krum is such a jackass though, what if he’s one of those captains that gives you ridiculous goals you can never meet?”

“Okay, yeah, hand it over.” Ayana laughed and moved her other book aside. “I really would love to learn how to transfigure food.”

Roxy grinned at her, bouncing in her seat. “The possible applications are so interesting. Do you think it could work on food allergies? I wouldn’t have to take my own food with me everywhere if I could just transfigure the food into something gluten-free.”

“I’m listening.” Ayana smiled.

Roxy sat down across from her, pushing the book she was holding across the table. “This is the most in depth book I’ve found on circumventing Gamp’s Law, and I need someone to talk about it with. Pretty please give it a go?” Roxy asked, putting on puppy dog eyes.

“Yeah?” Jackson flew down to the ground and dismounted his broom. “Well, you’re a pretty decent keeper, Weasley. When you’re not bitching.”

“I do not bitch,” Roxy said, putting on an offended look. “I merely talk loudly and annoy people until I get my way.” She threw her hair over her shoulder, which was somewhat less effective when her hair was sweaty and wind-swept. “That last goal,” she started, “I could’ve sworn you were going for the left hoop.”

“Okay so that’s two people. Our team has way more than two people worth mentioning. The cup is basically just a formality at this point.”

Roxy grinned over at her. “Amen. We’re gonna kick ass this year.” She lifted her arm to spin Cat as she laughed. “We just gotta make sure Amata doesn’t overwork herself with Head Girl duties.”

“Because people are assholes,” Molly replied casually. “I’ll dance with you if you want,” she added, nudging her cousin playfully.

“Tell me about it,” she grumbled. “I’m not even mad about the dancing, though I won’t say no to your offer, I just need someone to hang with. A pretty girl like me shouldn’t be standing in the corner all alone.”

“I think he’s just really serious about quidditch.” She said with a laugh. “And we probably need to be careful about underestimating her. She just has one of those faces, you know?”

Roxy hummed, thinking. “She did make captain this year, but she’s too nice to really whip her team into shape. Then again, Dursley is on the team too, and she can probably scare everyone into doing well.”
