Jester looked around. He knows the Fools saw someone skulking around on the circus grounds after hours.

That’s when he saw it. A small, plush rabbit lying upon the earth, right next to a Fool. He picked it up, turning it over in his hands. His claws lightly pulled at the glass eyes absentmindedly as he studied it. Then the scent clinging to the rabbit hit him. He brought it closer to his face. He knew this smell… it was the scent of Pierrot’s little pet. And as he turned to look at the Fool, a puzzle piece seemed to click into place.

None other than the Shiner’s gateway.

I hate being sick

Inspired by what I remember of that morning since I was super out of it and it was like- 4am-

Jester + Autistic MC HCs

• Much like in canon, he became aware of you rather quickly

• Contrary to what you might believe, he still classifies you as a threat

• Unlike the others, he actually knows the proper name for the condition that makes you what they have dubbed a “reclusive human” due to his interest in psychology books

• He knows from his readings that those like you, while typically ostracized by society, have a tendency to often say what is on their mind, making a slip of the tongue rather easy

• He doesn’t like that

• As such, he keeps a very close eye on you

• Seeing you up close in your day to day life, especially when you’re at home alone, is… an experience

• It’s one thing to read about something, it’s another to see it in person

• You fairly quickly become his special little curiosity, not that he’d ever admit it

• He tells himself he only watches because he wants to learn your behavioral patterns (fascination with psychology n all ‘at), which is true

• At least at first

• Jester is extremely observant, and picks up on every little thing you do fairly easily, and can make the distinctions quicker than most of the others, Pierrot likely the only one having him beat, and only barely

• He mistook you for fairly simple at first, which he comes to learn was a mistake. You are pretty simple once he gets the pattern down, yes, but you’re much more interesting in your simplicity than other humans in their complexities, and you’re not simple-minded as he first might have believed

• You have your routine, if you understand a rule it’s easy to follow, you have your specific sets of things you like and dislike, you take everything at face value, speak honestly, and you live in your own little organized chaos

• If anything, it convinces him of how easy it would be to train you, which proves to be correct

• He’s quick to lay ground rules, as well as explanations so you don’t get too rowdy and frustrated

• When you understand things and he gets you into a routine, you’re actually pretty happy. You like knowing what to expect, and he lets you have that as long as you behave

• He gets rather creative with his punishments if you step out of line, whether purposely or accidentally

• When it’s an accidental step, his punishments aren’t too severe, especially to an outsider. Punishments like these may include subtle brushes against you and strategically placed touches after he’s made you overstimulated just enough for them to bother you a lot, or perhaps confiscating your comfort item for an hour or so

• If you step out of line on purpose, that’s when he gets especially mean

• Punishments like these can include replacing your comfortable and pretty collar with something you come to dub as the sensory nightmare collar, with clothes tags and loose threads sewn into it to irritate and overstimulate you to all Hell

• Another might be forcing you to help him pass out flyers in the most crowded places in town he can find

• He takes care of you when you’re good for him, and makes sure to reward you, especially if he promises to

• Make no mistake, this isn’t necessarily out of kindness, it is simply to keep you compliant

• Rewards may include bringing you new clothes with the tags already removed and with extremely comfortable feel, or taking care of your comfort item for you and leaving it out where you can find it when he’s done with his scent on it of course

Doctor + Autistic MC HCs

• Ngl, he finds you fascinating

• He looks at you like a puzzle at first. A puzzle he just… has to solve

• You take orders well, and behave like the perfect patient

• “You didn’t move” “you said not to and the paper said to do what you say”

• Interesting little thing

• He’s hesitant to approach you for closer study due to Pierrot’s interest, but after a couple encounters and stewing in his curiosity long enough, he just can’t help himself

• Aside from Pierrot, he’s certain there’s little danger that you pose as a “reclusive human”

• They all know what those are, not that they know the human term for it. Well… Jester probably does, but they don’t care much for it. Those they dub as such often pose little threat and rarely ever visit their circus, and they’re often looked down upon by their fellow humans, so the monsters typically leave them be

• That said, he’d never observed one up close, and certainly never interacted with one. You were an oddity to him. And he liked oddities

• He took notes on your behavior at first, like he was studying some sort of exotic wildlife

• Your nesting habit especially interests him

• Silly silly bird man

• Over time, he stops taking notes and just… watches

• He enjoys seeing you flit about

• He notices you often stick to a routine and rarely ever adventure out of it. A comfort zone you seem perfectly happy to stay in

• When he finally ventures inside your abode, he notices more patterns in your belongs, how many things you have follow one or a few particular interests you seem to have, much like his own for plants

• He also notices that many of the things you own are extremely soft and of similar materials. Something you likely deliberately seek out bc you know you like it

• The foods as well. Nothing with unusual texture, multiple stocks of the same things. Predictable. Stable. And what you classify, as he comes to learn, safe

• You’re a unique little creature, and he can’t help being drawn back to you again and again

• When he eventually gives you his own ticket and pin, he enjoys how you honestly compare them to him

• He likes that you speak your mind a lot

• He probably takes the longest to become in tune with your cues, not that it’s very long at all, but he’s fairly quick to act on them when he does since he’s recognized he likes you as an individual by then

• Lets you hang out in his tent in the dark where you can watch him work from a safe distance and not have to worry about too much noise

• Keeps a pile of blankets and pillows for you there for such occasions and checks in with you between patients

• He’s not super big on touch either, much like yourself, but he quite enjoys gift giving like the bird he is and often brings you things for your nests

• He’ll bring you other things he knows you might enjoy as well ofc but the nest one is what matters most to him not that he tells you that initially-

• Really likes your nests and is quite happy when you become comfortable enough to allow him in them

• Much like Pierrot, he likes to leave at least a bit of his scent around, mostly in your nest this will be a theme they all follow

Harlequin + Autistic MC HCs

• His interest starts the same way as in the canon game; you have a red ticket

• He learns pretty quickly you don’t react the way most humans do, and your reactions aren’t always what he expects when you give them

• You’re a strange one, but he’s determined to play this game with Pierrot for now, so he persists

• He finds you amusing and sees you as a sort of challenge. What can he do to make you tick?

• He takes note of your behaviors pretty quickly, but unlike the others, he’s not really… quick to act on them. He wants to observe you first

• He’d never really had an interest in “reclusive humans”. He saw them as quiet and boring

• You prove to be… quite the opposite the more time he spends with you

• You can be quiet, and not typically very expressive, but when you are expressive, it’s pretty big. You practically put your whole body into it with your stims, and you’re always honest when you’re expressive. He likes that

• He comes to learn that, when you speak, you either have something honest, interesting, or a mix of both to say

• I see him as a quality time type of guy, which works well for you bc you enjoy just being near him, even if no words are exchanged. Sitting in a silence that’s not loud, but comfortable. Easy. Calming

• Like Pierrot, I imagine he likes to be touchy. Unlike Pierrot, he likes to be touchy on his terms and does not wanna be touchy on your terms

• You both eventually come to an agreement that you must both agree on touches, either verbally or non verbally, such as reaching a hand out and it being accepted or not, thus essentially making you both touching on agreed terms as a middle ground

• The system works for you both, and you’re quite happy with it

• He starts doing little things to adhere to your needs a bit at a time. Making sure your comfort item is somewhere you can see it (with a bit of his smell on it), a new item for your nests, a gift that adheres to your special interests, a new casual shirt made of a material you said you really liked once

• He’s actually a really good listener, and so are you, he comes to learn

• And when he’s not in the mood to listen, you’re ok if he doesn’t hear a word you say, and he’s happy he doesn’t have to. Just the sound of you yapping without having to commit to hearing you is enough to keep him grounded

• He likes the sound of your voice

• He notices you’re not loud in your gestures either. You’re fairly quiet and simple with him. Sitting beside him, offering a hand without eye contact for him to take with no embarrassment attached since he can’t feel your eyes on him. It’s actually… just what he needs

• Very protective of his peace with you
