[she giggles quietly] Yeah? You mean it?

I’m French toast over both, if it makes any difference!

I can’t comment...I’ve never had french toast.

They aren’t awful. *grins, tipping her head back to better see her* That being said … pancakes are really my favourite either! I think I like savoury better in the morning. Unless waffles are on the table, those I like.

[she raises a brow, looking at mei in the reflection of the mirror] You’re waffles over pancakes? Mei, I hardly knew ye.

I don’t mind blueberries! In … in muffins. 

[she considers this, nodding slowly] ...What about pancakes?

Ooh, that one’s easy! Coconut, please. Maggie’s fond of goji berries, but I’ve never been the biggest fan of them, let alone the smell. That’s … most berries, honestly.  

You don’t like berries at all? [she puts the goji berry one down, placing the coconut one on the trolley which she rolls beside her]

I hang out with Mei or I do my hair. I’m into braids right now.

“I don’t know if saved is the right word. But it did - something.” He shrugged. “So, I take it you’re not gonna buzz it. What do you think will suit me?”

“Something.” she mused in an echo, lips twitching toward a smile. “Mm...keep it longer on the top. A little length won’t hurt you. I’ll just clean it up, see if we can get it a little more.....less of a mess.”

Yup. Exactly. The fact that I will one day be elderly is probably one of my greatest flaws.

[rolls her eyes and exhales sharply] Fine. Then just… do my hair and then I can leave. [bites on the inside of her cheek and then glances down at her phone] How long have you, um, been working here?

That was the plan. You thought I was gonna keep you here for the amazing conversation? [rolls her eyes, but starts looking over her hair, running a comb through it and lifting a strand to look for split ends at the bottom] ‘Bout a year. Been training. Just finished.

Some old people are okay, but for the most part… [grimaces]
