Is there any room in Vayne's heart for exceptions when it comes to her demon slaying? Has she ever seen anything that has shaken her beliefs, or is that something unlikely to happen?
Prompted asks!
Very good question! In regards to her demon hunting, she is absolutely no long term exceptions at the moment. The most she could be convinced to do, would be to put it off to save her own life; or to save a significant amount of other human lives (though... more than one), or similarly extreme circumstances. She is extreme in her belief that all demons deserve to die; believing it both on a moral level that they genuinely are evil without nuance, but also because it's that belief that lets her avoid confronting the fact that she is a sadistic serial killer with few differences from what ruined her own life, quite frankly put.
Magic and such she's more willing to make exceptions for: notably for Locke who was her childhood friend who she knows magic was forced upon; and the Sentinels of Light as they fight against far darker magic than what any of them might use. Though, she's still rather uncomfortable around it.
