 this is one of the scenes that make their relationship so real to me , how many people have kissed the doctor?? , how many people has ‘fancied’ him and hit on him? , sometimes it feels like he is getting hit on in every other episode , and how many of those people showing him affection , has he actually responded to? , and i don’t mean who he has fallen in love with , cause obviously he fallen in love more than once on screen , but this is the first time someone has shown interest in him , and he makes a point to actually do something about it , he takes river out on silly dates , he kisses her , he flirts constantly with her , river is his exception , he doesn’t just blatantly ignore her feelings , or turn her down or tell her that they could never work , he fucking married her (via marriagehoney)
