Zoey coos so aggressively she almost starts crying. Mira's eyes do tear up and she pulls Rumi close so she can headbutt her, soft and lingering. She pulls back and Zoey swoops in to replace Mira's forehead with her own upon Rumi's. Mira pushes in again, this time her head pressing against Rumi's neck. Zoey pulls back to do the same on the other side.

I understand being critical. I myself am critical of certain kinds of consang pairings. But being critical is not an excuse to blatantly ignore the happy, healthy, real lives of consang couples. By claiming that incest is "inherently non-consentual" or "inherently abusive" is taking away the sexual rights of real consenting adult people. By crying abuse without knowing anything about the individuals or their relationship, you are labeling innocent people as predators and prying them away from their loved ones. You do not have a right to ruin lives like this. You also do not have a right to tell other people (again, that is consenting adult people) whether their relationship is healthy or not, especially when both parties make it clear that they are happy and healthy. Stop projecting your discomfort onto other people's lived experiences.
