Yep. This was about all I could manage to draw. My cup.
Ok my anatomy sucks. My clothing sucks. I know all that.
But this was one of my first attempts at getting my characters for my graphic novel down. It's a totally new, exploratory experience to actually see someone in your mind, see them for months... years... and then finally be able to bring them forward.
I really enjoy still going in with pen. I know there's so many sketch marks but using pencil makes me feel like I'm anticipating something, planning something. Pen means there's no rules and I have to learn on the fly.
Initial learning of anatomy. 8 heads tall? 6 heads tall? Good lawd I thought heads was so much info THERE IS ALWAYS SO MUCH INFO.
But at least it's not just a head. Bless-ed are the head illustrators.

I did it! My 2nd round of the 100 heads challenge. I feel like this is something I should revisit every year as a refresher. It's not till I get to, like, head 80 that I feel like things are clicking. And then over the next month it'll unwind again but not all of it!
Am proud. Need something new to draw.
