My First Portrait of 2018! 

TBH this is the first digital painting I’ve done in at least a month so I’m trying to get back into it.  

In celebration of Overwatch’s 1 Year Anniversary I drew one of my favorite characters, if not my absolute favorite character, D.va in her new Cruiser skin.  I think the game is amazing and the Blizzard team always surprises me (and my time and wallet xD) with their seasonal events.  Last year I drew D.va in her classic skin because of my newly found love for her at the time.  I even made a little montage of my kills with her.  If I relate to anyone in the roster it’s definitely her.  

Last year around this time was also when my late poppop offered me a job that I was about to refuse due to my anxiety.  I’m glad I was pushed into doing it by my mom because I got to grow as a person and get over quite a bit of my anxiety.  I also got to know my poppop better too.  Overwatch was the first thing I got to buy with the money I had earned from his job and I won’t forget that.  

As I grew over the year my art got progressively better as well, so I made a side by side comparison of last year’s and this year’s art of D.va.  I have to say that even last year I was not content with what I had done with the painting, but at the time I was still experimenting with new brushes and ways of getting to my end goal.  Her outfit wasn’t blended properly, her face didn’t look the way I had wanted it to, and there were soooooo many jagged unblended lines. This years I can say that I am very content with.

Brittanie Evans

A photostudy Of Brittanie Evans I did to brush up on my digital painting.  For the past 2 months I’ve been slowing down on my painting as my depression crept up on me again.  My personal life hasn’t been the easiest, but everyone has to find a reason to keep going and do what they love.  Brittanie Evans is very beautiful and seems to have a good heart and sense of humor.  I have a speed paint of my process rendering as I type, so look out for that soon.  :)
