    “Oh, dear Sansa!” Upon seeing the other girl, Margaery’s face lit up. “I didn’t think I would see you again.” Without hesitation she walked over closing the distance between them as she pulled the redhead in a hug. “It brings me a joy to see you alive and here.” After the wedding, after she disappeared and everyone suspected she was the one who killed Joffrey - or at least played her part in his demise -, she was sure she would never see the northern girl again. At least not alive and not in one piece. Cersei Lannister was very hellbent on getting her revenge. “Where have you been? What happened?” All those questions and many more swirled around in her head, but she tried to hold them back, let Sansa breath and give her a chance to actually answer those questions. Only now did she release the other girl from the hug, stepping back. 

    “Once a wise woman told me the past is not there to worry about, but to learn from. As we don’t have the power to change what already happened, I suppose it is the only thing we can do.” Margaery looked over at her, observing Daenerys for a few quiet minutes. For her, it was her family pulling the strings in the background, telling and teaching her how to act. Not Daenerys, she only had herself and her own power and strength, she started with nothing and got to where she was now. Quiet admirable, but also a heavy burden she carried on her shoulders. “I assume you worry about the future? Which, considering our current situation is not at all odd. However, don’t forget to live the present. If you delve in the past and worry about the future too much, you will entirely forget about the present. And quickly it will become the past, Your Grace.”

   The feeling was familiar to her. Not just dreaming during the night, but also daydreaming she has been woken up, brought back to the present. “It’s an unpleasant feeling.” Her head turned to the side slightly as she looked at the girl. “Dreams should be our escape, just a few hours into he world of dreams, where everything we want could become real.  But if the reality haunts us even in our sleeping hours in the forms of nightmare, that’s very unfortunate.” Margaery took a small step forwards in the direction of Missandei. “Perhaps the maester has something for you, that can keep the dreams away, at least for a few nights so you can rest peacefully.”

   Harsh words weren’t unfamiliar to her. Not something she had to endure all to often, but often enough to know them. From both, people she loved and people she despised. “You shall be forgiven. However, I hope we can keep this as a one time occurrence.” Her hands laid folded in her lap, head held high, with the crown laying on it. “Yet I have the feeling, you are the kind of man who speaks first and thinks afterwards? Am I wrong? It’s not always a smart thing to let ourselves be controlled by our feelings. Emotions... they don’t like to be controlled. They are wild and can easily be dangerous.” 

   The sun was already low and it would have been a quiet and peaceful evening if not for the howling wind disturbing that quiet. For a few moments - that seemed like hours - she just stood there looking at him, letting the words sink in. “Just to clarify... Do you mean this in a poetic or a literal way?” There were whispers of the White Walkers gaining numbers and slowly coming closer. Although many denied it and brushed it off with a wave of the hand, Jon Snow seemed to be very sure about it. “Tell me, do you know what they have to say?” Unless he meant the actual dead, who were not rising bringing a cold and deadly winter with them. In which case it would prove as more difficult to listen to what they have to say. And there were certainly some people she didn’t want to heart out.

oh gosh thanks. <3 i was honestly worried to join the asoiaf fandom (the first & the second time), but everyone has been so welcoming and nice and that makes me feel somewhat less intimidated, but of course there are still those blogs, that intimidate me - including yours >_< so this honestly means a lot. and i really hope we get to write soon. :)
