          “Do I need to even ask this time?” There’s a slight tinge of disappointment but he does well to hide it. He knows better than to say anything, his brother would do as he wished. Still he could not help but worry about him. Still he would always be there to collect Boromir whatever state he may be in.

I am not certain if ruling an entire Kingdom is... is right for me, despite my bloodline.” He was truly wondering why his heart was willing to let his words flow so freely, and in front of someone who he thought had such tensions with. Though, with everything they’ve experienced so far, he felt that he could let a small shred of those doubts come to light.

----- BOROMIR’S ARRIVAL STIRS THE KINGDOM. it stirs fili to his core. everybody knew why he had come and there was no problem with it. at least in the young lion prince’s eyes. the only thing that bothered fili is he being so used to thorin’s nearly undivided attention. he is fond of his uncle’s company and being with his family but . . . a new member at such a time is hard to wrap minds around.      he assumes thorin and boromir have done their greetings . . . whatever that may entail, he has no interest in and greets boromir in the throne room.      “ hello, “ he says, awkwardly. he isn’t quite sure what to call him. uncle? plain boromir? “ i am fili. thorin’s nephew. “

“I’m not doing it.” With her eyes as wide as SAUCERS, Alys blurted out those words without a second thought, her gaze pinned on the monstrosity in Lord Boromir’s hand. “I don’t care if the Lord Commander said everyone was to train daily, I probably can’t even LIFT it.” To emphasise her point, she actually took A STEP BACK. “How about a bow and arrow instead?”
