And of all the characters to gender bend they choose the only one that would actually mess up the female protagonist's arc. So until very recently I somehow had no idea that The Tick got a new series on Amazon that’s already on like the third season or something, and I didn’t particularly like the pilot - it didn’t really have the energy, moved kinda slow, I wasn’t feeling the new Tick actor - buuut I gave it a shot and continued. I’m now somewhere in season 2 and it is so intensely wonderful oh my god. This show is so good I don’t understand how it’s real. The actors hit their stride, the dialogue is hysterical, and I may have even had a few feelings. Show good, please watch. Especially if you also watched the cartoon and not just the cancelled live-action, cause it’s really uncanny how much the new main actors now sound like the old voices. NEAT!!
