On the Plights of Lawlessness (full poem)
With a heathen’s smile, he came across
with a walk like a devil’s grin.
He sought to create wrath with a sly little smile
that make heroes out of the heartless
So as the heroes gather in a hoard of good
to plan their next success.
Another kind of story was to begin,
somewhere within a hoard of stolen goods,
in a world where there was no hero that would care-
To stop those thieves of love and
from the depth of villainy
than the promises of paragons
and in the eyes of rich idols,
no greater is anything but victory.
But in eyes of poor swindlers
no greater is the value of voice
and slight is needed to both-
but in different measure and different time.
And when battle walks with each
the hero will fight first and fight fast
but the god will fight not with his mind
and with the minds of his brothers.
And the man will fight not with his heart
and with the heart of his brothers.
whether in victory or demise,
It is better to rely on the courage of a good criminal,
the neighborly Robin Hood
Than the brawn of a proud knight,
