aegon evolve vs rhaenyra's decline is actually very well written. because rhaenyra's problem is that she has never seen the outside world. even during the war, she's either cooped up at dragonstone or the keep. she doesn't know her people, or people in general. she only ever interacts with her servants and her family member. that's why she's so tragically unprepared to rule. she expects absolute loyalty just because, she expects the people in KL to just cope with the situation in the city and sympathize with her because the hightowers are scheming against her, she humiliate her dragonriders without even considering the consequences. aegon's evolvement is about his journey. he learned that his position could be taken away at any second, he was betrayed, he lived as a fugitive, he MET people, he learned, he listened. he become smarter. and when he made his choice to stay and be buried with his dragon, it doesn't feel naive or foolish. also, he told larys and tyland to save themselves. he understands that his "servants" will still value their lives over blind loyalty to him and he doesn't blame them. BUT then tyland still chooses to stay with him. and i think that's the first spark of hope for aegon. he's not alone. i loved the moment he sees the army and hesitate, but then he just commits. i think having tyland there, and him asking aegon if he wants to flee - and he doesn't judge him, he basically tells him "i'll support you no matter what", and aegon never had someone like that in his life. and that's when he commits. he finds his courage, and gets his dragon back. i'm curious to see how the writers will develop their dynamic. i really hope tyland will stay with aegon because i think aegon really needs him.

the logic people apply to hate team green can also very easily be applied to team black, but they don't want to hear it. aegon is a rapist (show addition btw) but so are daemon, rhaenyra, and viserys. alicent had an affair, so did corlys, daemon, rhaenyra (and maybe book!viserys or jace). criston called rhaenyra a cvnt (he had reasons) but daemon repeatedly calls rhea his 'bronze bitch'. criston kills joffrey lonmouth (in the books it was during a tourney, up for interpretation), and daemon beats his wife to death with a rock. aemond killed lucerys, but team black also killed jaehaerys, who was legitimately innocent.

Is show Alicent supposed to have antisocial personality disorder? Because how do you look at your own child who trusts you completely before proceeding to stone cold poison him so he dies alone, in agony in decrepit castle as you flee towards the horizon.

Seriously, guys, I don't understand what the point was of eliminating Nettles and making Rhaena Sheepstealer's rider. Rhaena Targaryen went years without a dragon, feeling inferior because of it. And when she finally gets her dragon, for some reason they end up blaming her for Jacaerys's death, and then she lives in hiding. Jeyne Arryn treats her horribly when in the book they treat her like a princess. BUT THE WORST PART IS, WHY THE HELL DID THEY GIVE RHAENA A DRAGON IF THEY WERE GOING TO KILL IT LATER? ON TOP OF THAT, SHE'S FORCED TO LEAVE SHEEPSTEALER. GOD. I HATE THIS SO MUCH.
