When a fic is so good it actually converts you. I just finished an absolute beast of a story written by @jjackfrost that left me weeping, laughing, in awe and in love.

I really wanted to try my hand at their outfits, as well as the Snow Queen. I pictured her as a sort of uncanny beauty - undeniably beautiful, but in a way that just feels off.

Well, if you want another one with supernaturals in urban(?) settings, When Twilight Strikes is pretty good!! No Romance Option that’s exactly like Mason, however.

Infamous is one of my favs, and you play as a rockstar/musician. More grounded in reality, though.

1966 is an IF where YOU can play as an eldritch horror!! Very very fun to read and replay because there’s a LOTTT of content for each choice

Apt502 is a slice-of-life one that I rlly enjoy, read kind of like a sitcom

Before the Incident is one of my personal favorites, though the story reads more like you’re reading manga/watching anime episodes

Press Play is another wonderful one about music, and covers a lot of serious topics while still being extremely engaging to play!

In Remember, You Will Die, you play as an mercenary, and there’s a lot of violence and such, but the story and its worldbuilding is super interesting. You might like this one if you like grittier stories!!

Love After Death is a primarily romance focused IF with a LOTTTT of choice and personality variation, which I feel like you might find exciting!!! It’s very fun replaying it because it has SO much flavor text based on your personality.

The Abysal Song is another route focused one like TWC, but the story is entirely fantasy and not just supernaturals mixed with reality. Still pretty good though!!

Perfumare: Avulsion is super good!! All the RO routes are super fun to play AND if you check the author’s page, it also has like a visual novel of it out (with less choices than the IF though)!! The creator is super skilled. This one!s made with Ren’Py instead of Twine, though!!

The Ballad of the Young Gods recently just updated a chapter in which you can really see the supernatural stuff start to show up. It’s in an actual university setting, but reality’s expanded in it.

Cantata is another fantasy setting one, and the author of it also wrote Viatica, which was a dystopian IF!! Both are extremely good, if you wanna check those out!!

I think all of them have compelling ROs, but I don’t think there’s a single RO that’s like Mason in this list. He’s just special like that. Nearly all of the recs have flirts and grumps, but they’re separate LMAOOO
