Okay so long story short - all of them.
Short story long - not all of them.
In my previous post I talked about the difference between Universe A and Universe Z. You can kinda tell just by looking at the mv which universe it takes place in. For the most part, the mvs in Universe Z I find to be more insightful than Universe A. A lot of the Universe A lore I got from the intros and outros from the Fever Road series that they did.
Here is the link to the Fever Road series. The actual content of the video is just the boys being themselves - there's no lore there. It's the intro and outro scenes that are important. These focus on each of the boys and the relationship of them with each other. It can be hard to pick out on the first watch, so don't worry if you don't get it the first time. Slow it down and watch all that happens. All the little details are super important here. If you want me to break them down, just let me know!!

Hello ENGENEs, this is Sunghoon
Writing a letter on paper like this is a rare occasion for me, but as I wrap up this year, there are things I want to convey to ENGENEs, so I'm trying to write this letter. ENGENEs, did you have a good year? I see myself growing every year, gaining more insights, and becoming closer to ENGENEs. It feels good and proud to see myself improving. Especially this year, it seems like those aspects have multiplied, and looking back, it feels like I've had a truly happy year. I've witnessed people achieving their goals, setting new ones, and diligently striving to find their goals this year, and seeing ENGENEs working hard with us is truly inspiring. Above all, ENGENEs happiness while looking at me and us has been the most adorable and lovely.
A few years ago, I couldn't even imagine such feelings and such a life, but thanks to ENGENEs, it's fascinating and precious to be able to live this life and have these thoughts. Despite our individual challenges, ENGENEs always thinks of me and gives us strength by watching over us. It has been a close relationship, sharing joy and sorrow together.
This year, I truly felt the support and love from so many ENGENEs, cheering for me. Every moment of the 365 days may not have been smooth, but I've come to realize that each day with ENGENEs is precious. Thanks to ENGENEs, I can finish the year safely, and I want to express my gratitude and love to everyone. I'm already looking forward to what activities we'll do with ENGENEs in 2024 and what new aspects ENGENEs will bring out in me.
Sometimes, ENGENEs is cute and lovable, and other times, mature and impressive. While watching ENGENEs, I've decided to work even harder in the coming year. I've thought deeply about this letter for three days, and though it was difficult to express my thoughts, I wrote it with sincerity while thinking about ENGENEs. Okay lets all put our heads together and talk about this - the WILL Outro video
For any Atiny who are not a Loretiny, here’s what you need to know:
There are two universes inside the Ateez context - Universe A and Universe Z (otherwise referred to as Strictland).
Universe A is the one that we are familiar with. It’s bright and colorful and happy. It’s seen is mvs like Pirate King, Treasure, Wave, and Dreamers. If you’re more familiar with their performances, it’s any song that has costumes with color. They softer looks in sweaters and khakis and such. Those are all Universe A.
Universe Z is the alternate universe. Time is funky here and I won’t get into a whole thing about it but it’s reversed. So there is a 12 hour time difference between A and Z. Complete opposites existing at the same time. This universe is dark. There’s lots of broken down buildings and boarded up windows. There are no mirrors or other sources of reflection so the people cannot see themselves and wish to be free. It’s seen in mvs like Hala Hala, Say My Name, Deja Vu, Halazia, Bouncy, and Crazy Form. In this Universe, music and art and all forms of expression are banned. The people all have microchips implanted in them to disable their emotions. The Black Pirates, who we know are in kahoot with the Ateez we know and love, are a group of rebels that are trying to bring art and emotions back through song (very HSM) and disable the microchips. There’s a whole thing about how they got there but that’s not important for this context.
There is a device called The Cromer, which allows Ateez to switch between these universes when the moon is full (which is why we see a lot of moon imagery). When the moon is not full, it does other things that again are not important here.
We know that the Cromer was broken. This happened in Deja Vu when Yeosang broke it to save the rest of Ateez (long story that’s again not important here). Ateez eventually uses the Cromer from Universe A, that is not broken, to get back to Universe Z later.
We see the broken Cromer at the end of Bouncy as well, but this time a little blue bird flies seemingly out of it. There are lots of questions about this Cromer. Is it the original Cromer? Is it the Cromer from Universe A? Why is there a bird? Was it trapped inside? Is that how it works? Is there a significance to the Cromer breaking when the moon is full? Is that why the bird appeared? I don’t know. And the new video cleared up approximately nothing. It shows the bird as it flies around the set of Crazy Form, but without the members. It’s after the events of the MV take place, which we know for sure because it shows the area that Yeosang is seen spray painting.
The first pic is from the new video and the second pic is from the Crazy Form MV.
I’ve seen some people as questions about the people in white. But these are students at Prestige Academy. There’s a good bit of lore here but the gist of it is, the Black Pirates are using the school as a place to start their revolution. The school is introduced in the Guerrilla mv. A boy from the school appears. It’s also seen in the Bouncy MV and referenced in the narrative in the Diary version of Outlaw.
There is also a paper and a cube seen at the end.
The paper is clearly plans for a pirate ship. The questions here lie solely on when this all takes place. As we know Ateez has all of their lore all mapped out. It’s is all carefully planned, meaning when they release new content, it’s not necessarily in chronological order. We’ve seen them release things out of order before. There’s no real way to know until we get what comes next. So the question of what is the ship for, relies on when this takes place. If it’s earlier in the timeline, then we have seen the ship in action. If it’s later in the timeline, then it could be replacing the old ship.
The cube is a little more confusing. I’ve seen some people say that it’s probably the same cube that is seen in the Dreamers mv.
Except now it’s red. Red is not a good color in the Ateez world. So what does it mean and what does it do? Dreamers takes place in Universe A, but we are in Universe Z now. Is it a different color because it is a different universe? Is it a different color because it’s been activated? What sort of abilities does the cube have? Is it related to the Cromer or is it separate?
I don’t know.

Idk what to think about the cube, but when it comes to the bird I think it's related to halazia. Usually, the blue bird's symbolism is hope and positivity (it can also be a connection between the living and the dead but I don't think this is the case here). In halazia Yeosang sings about it
Considering halazia takes place in universe Z, the blue bird is probably a metaphor to represent their will to fix that world, and their plan is slowly working and "overturning the world"
When the cromer gets broken and a bird gets out of it, it's probably the "beginning of a deep echo" Yeosang mentions before. And as he is the one that sings this line, it's only fair he is the one who breaks the cromer in one of the universes to save the rest of the members
However, I don't know if the lore is connected to the lyrics or not, so perhaps this doesn't make sense. I'm not a loreatiny😔
The blue bird is likely a symbol of what is to come. The revolution is about to begin. Big change is about to come.
The stretch could also be made about connecting the living and dead in the connection that will be made between the “living” members of the Black Pirates and the “dead” members of society.
I think it is absolutely so important that Yeosang sings about the blue bird and then he’s the one that breaks the Cromer and we see the blue bird. I think it’s also a great example of the complexities of the lore as it is released with the music. Clearly this is a very important part of the lore, not just because the Cromer is broken, but also what that means and the fact that Yeosang is connected to it all is what leads to that conclusion.
Something is going on with the Cromer. Why did it need to break in order for the blue bird to be released? Why is that the key to the success of the revolution? I don’t know but this is such a good start!!
Lore is absolutely connected to lyrics. It’s also connected to the choreo to a certain extent and also some of their major performances (like the Kingdom performances). Nothing that Ateez does is not without some sort of lore behind it (except maybe Wanteez).

Chris started as a friend of a friend. Your best friend knew him in grade school, so when you met her in your first year of college, of course she introduced him to you. At first, nothing really happened. Anytime you two were together, she was also there. But you would never hang out with just him. That was not the nature of your relationship.
At first.
But then, you started needing what your mother could only call "a big strong boy" and he was the only guy you knew enough to ask for help. Plus you knew he was nothing short of a gentleman and would be more than willing to help, no matter what you meant to him.
It started when you needed help moving apartments. Your best friend asked Chris for help. And he was there on the day of move out, with a surprisingly large vehicle that you knew wasn't his and a hand truck to move large loads. He didn't complain at all when you asked him to move the car a minimum of four times. He didn't complain when you asked him to lift the boxes that you accidentally packed too heavy. He didn't complain when you insisted on double and triple-checking everything yourself. He didn't complain when you would reopen boxes, anxious that you didn't pack something. He didn't complain when your best friend had to leave and just the two of you were left. He quietly fulfilled your every command. You offered to buy him a meal as compensation, but he vehemently refused.
Then your car got a flat tire, and he was the only one in the area that could help. He answered your call with a "hey" and said nothing else except an "okay" when you asked him to come help you. He showed up a short time later, with a bottle of water and a granola bar for you before making light work of changing the tire. You offered to buy him a coffee as a thanks, and again, he refused.
Then your shower stopped working. The maintenance man at your apartment made you feel very uncomfortable so you called Chris. He came over to your place and sat with you while the maintenance man fixed your shower. He didn't say much, just sat with you on the couch and watched the movie you had playing. When the maintenance man left, he turned to you and said "I could have fixed your shower for you, you know."
You shrugged. "It's fine. I ask too much of you anyway. This was more fun."
"It was." And with that, he turned his eyes back to the television, grabbing a blanket to get more comfortable.
You watched three more movies together after that.
You began to feel more comfortable around him. You still kept asking him for help, maintaining a boundary, but your requests got easier. You would text and ask for small things like rides or missing recipe ingredients or even just company while you worked. With each request, you prepared yourself for a "no", but you never got one.
As your relationship grew, so did your feelings for him. Obviously, he was a very attractive man, but you found that his personality was even more so. He was kind and smart. He was considerate and funny. He was everything you could want. But you knew he didn't see you the same way. His short responses in every conversation you've ever had were evidence of that.
So when a guy you worked with asked you on a date, you said yes. Your best friend was over the moon when you told her. She began planning your outfit immediately, going so far as to buy you a new necklace that she claimed ties the whole outfit together. You got all dressed up and you were feeling yourself. You hadn't had this kind of confidence in what felt like years.
So imagine your heartbreak when your date never showed.
You'd never been stood up before. You had no idea what to do. You thought about calling your best friend, but you knew she would be livid and want to try and track him down. Which sounded like a problem for after you cried, showered, and slept at least 10 hours.
So you called Chris.
You cried and cried on the phone. He didn't say a single word until a few minutes later when he said "I'm outside" and then hung up. Sure enough, there he was. Sitting in his car. You slid into the passenger seat and he didn't say a word. He just handed you a hoodie and a bottle of water. Then he started the car and drove away.
After downing half the bottle of water, you start talking again. You're no longer crying. But your voice is shaking.
"Is there something wrong with me? Was this all just a joke to him? Did he do this to humiliate me? Because if so it worked. I was feeling so confident and now-" You paused. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't dump this on you. I'll be quiet now. I know that I annoy you. I'm just a friend of a friend you cannot seem to shake."
You didn't look at him.
If you did though, you might have seen how his grip on the wheel tightened. You might have been prepared for when he pulled the car over.
He put the car in park, took off his seatbelt, and turned to face you.
"Y/N"
You've never heard him sound like that. When you turned to look at him, he was fuming. You have never seen him that mad.
"You're right. You are just a friend of a friend. And you're right. I couldn't seem to shake you. No matter how hard I tried. No matter how much I denied your invites to coffee or food. And now here I fucking am."
If looks could kill, you'd be dead ten times over.
You cowered in your seat, tears filling your eyes.
"...this is why I knew I shouldn't have gotten close to you."
"What's that supposed to mean?" You squeaked out, not daring to look at him.
He let out a big sigh. "You were just a friend of a friend. Until you weren't. Until you were more. Then you were just a friend. Until you weren't. Until you were more." Your eyes shot up. "And now here I am, picking you up from a date where a sad excuse for a man who had the absolute gall to stand you up. Who caused you to ruin the makeup that I know you spent at least an hour perfecting. Who made you believe, even for a second, that you are less than perfect. Who missed out on a chance with you."
"Chris-"
"If I never got close to you, I never would have to see you witness this heartbreak. I wouldn't feel this anger for a man I've never met. I wouldn't have to navigate these feelings that I have for you."
"Chris-"
"Y/N you don't deserve this. You deserve the absolute best the world has. And I'm not saying that's me. But if you give me a chance, I will spend every day trying to bring myself closer to that bar. I can't do this anymore. I can't keep trying to push these feelings down. I can't keep acting like I'm not totally enamored with you."
You reached over and put your hand over his clenched fist. You flipped his hand over and spread his fingers out to relax his hand. Then you slipped your own in it.
"Chris. I like you too." You stared at your connected hands.
