I hate mitch mcconnel so much it's unreal, everyone in kentucky please vote him out
26.10.20 - the fifth consecutive day of protests against Polandâs courtâs near-total ban on abortion.
they follow a ruling by Polandâs Constitutional Court that abortions, even in cases of foetal defects, are illegal.
it means that abortion is now only valid in cases of rape or incest.
the fight is about the right to choose.
they confirmed barrett dude
remember in 2016 when people didn't vote and had this attitude of like, what's the worst that can happen? well. that was quite a gamble to make with women's bodily autonomy. i wonder how many states will make abortion not only fully inaccessible, but also illegal, as in, you go to fucking prison, after roe is overturned
as an example: in 2019 georgia passed house bill 481 which criminalizes abortion after 6 weeks with a prison sentence of one to ten years by some sources and life in prison or the death penalty according to other sources. this bill was struck down in july of 2020 by a federal court because it is in violation of roe. what do you think will happen when roe is overturned?
criminalizing abortions will mean women can be investigated by the police for having a miscarriage or stillbirths, and potentially serve prison time for murder. Making women felons due to miscarriage or abortions means they will be ineligible to vote.
10-20% of pregnancies end in a natural miscarriage by the 2nd trimester. If you think Iâm exaggerating, this has already occurred.

i will never forget all of the celebrities singing imagine by john lennon at the start of lockdown when people were dying in record breaking numbers and losing their jobs, homes and loved ones. it was their hannah montana moment but instead of brown hair they revealed the most insane collective lack of empathy i have witnessed in my life
L'Origine du monde, 1866, by Gustave Courbet. MusĂŠe d'Orsay, Paris. Personal photo. Itâs really impressive to see it in the museum : all people who look at it seem utterly intimidated, in a hurry, meanwhile they look with a satisfied curiosity to the 34'567 penises dangling from whatever statue.
the concept of foundation is really so evil to meâŚa liquid skin you paint on to cover your natural skinâŚTo market that as a normal and even necessary productâŚonly to womenâŚevil. If no one tells our fathers they look sick or tired or dull without $40 pore clogging paint on their faces that shouldnât be the message we get either!
âI am my own muse, I am the subject I know best. The subject I want to know better.â -Frida KahloÂ
i think spending years on tumblr surrounded by the most critically unhinged minds on earth has impacted me in ways i dont even want to acknowledge. but on the plus side its all really funny

Abortion Clinic Employee Shares How Some Pro-Life Women Act When They Come In As Customers
I am not surprised that anti-choice zealots would hypocritically obtain abortions, but I am thoroughly fucking shocked that they wouldnât even attempt to hide their anti-choice views when doing so.Â
Read âWhen the anti-choice choose,â a collection of anecdotes from abortion providers about serving this kind of patient.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has signed an amendment allowing mothers' names to be included on their children's birth certificates, after a three-year campaign by women's rights activists.
Using the hashtag #WhereIsMyName, campaigners pushed for the right of women to be named on official documents including childrenâs birth certificates, which previously named only the father.
The President signed the amendment after Parliament had delayed passing the changes, which were scheduled for discussion last week.
âI feel like a bird in a cage whose door has just been opened, achieving the dream of flying in the sky,â said activist Sonia Ahmadi, who joined the campaign when it began in 2017.
âMy feeling of happiness may seem ridiculous for women in other countries, but when we live in a society where women are physically and spiritually excluded, achieving such basic rights is a big and difficult task.â
#WhereIsMyName campaigners are fighting an ingrained Afghan tradition that states using a womanâs name in public brings shame on the family.
Instead, women are publicly referred to by the name of their closest male relatives.
Their own names are generally not present on documents, on their wedding invitations or even on their own gravestones.
âIn a society where everything is against women and they work to keep women down, this is a big step forward,â Ms Ahmadi said.
âIt gives me an extraordinary feeling of happiness.â
The Afghan cabinetâs legal affairs committee said the move was a significant achievement.
âThe decision to include the motherâs name in the ID card is a big step towards gender equality and the realisation of womenâs rights,â the committee said in a statement.
The movement, which began in the city of Herat but has since expanded worldwide, has faced opposition in the conservative and patriarchal Muslim country.
During a joint press conference with local authorities and the founders of the movement, Herat Governor Wahid Qattali said he feared there would be resistance to the change.
âWe need to work in the districts also to prevent a public opposition against the initiative ⌠but there may be some who try to make trouble along the way,â he said.

life under capitalism is so alienating like if i think about it too much or too deeply for too long it depresses the hell out of me
like if you think about it, most people make their friends either at school or at their job. what happens if you canât find a job? or if you struggle to hold a job? or if you canât afford to go to school? thereâs meetup groups, but most of them do activities that you have to pay for which, if you have little to no spendable income, makes it difficult to participate and therefore makes it difficult for u to make new friends. going to a bar costs money. even solitary hobbies cost money. like how sad is it that something as essential as socializing and making friends and spending time with people and building your own community and support group is predicated on your ability to generate capital
My whole dash tonight:
