When she winds her fingers through your hair.

When she tucks her hair behind her ear and smiles

he slid his hand up her thigh she dug her nails in his back And they stopped feeling alone But for a moment

He made a knock knock joke And I fell in love

And when she smiled at me Her eyes seeing me Me I was lost entirely

One time We were dancing, and he told me stories in my ear, and held me tight against him, and made me forget the music flowing in our blood But I held on with the tips of my fingers too scared I might drown.

When you quietly realize you’ve been holding hands this whole time
