Mother & Tongue workshop / Editorial / Project Space Festival Berlin / 2019

“Mother & Tongue will leave mothers and tongues at bay. Instead, it will pour out words and images of words on overwhelming care, anxiety, targeted ads and something that is at the tip of your tongue but slips away. Ieva Rojūtė will make you read messages, written in a deliberately clumsy manner, which will make you a little uncomfortable. As if you’re browsing through someone’s personal messages, yet can somehow relate to them yourself. She will also share those messages with you in a workshop, on site. Jokūbas Čižikas will substitute words with sounds in a live music set, while the video piece Abstract Karaoke by Jurgis Paškevičius will (not) invite you to sing along and keep up with rapidly flickering image-words.”

THE EPOCH OF WATER HAS COME NOW AND EVERYTHING IS CHANGING. THUS, PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY STARTED WAKING, OUR PLANET WENT FROM THE AGE OF PISCES (SCIENCE AND CULTURE) TO THAT OF AQUARIUS (SPIRITUALITY AND MAGIC). NOW OVER SOME 72 YEARS ALL OF OUR PLANET AND ALL WITHIN IT WILL CHANGE. LOTS OF CURIOSITIES WE ARE YET TO SEE. ALSO, AN INTERESTING THING THAT IT IS REPEATING THAT DREAMERS SHARE EXPERIENCES SIMILAR TO THEIR OWN OR OTHER DREAMERS' SOMETHING MORE LIES BEYOND EVERY EXPERIENCED (RECALLED) DREAM. INTERFERING WITH THE RUNNING OF DESIRED ERRANDS. MOST LIKELY ON THE MASCULINE SIDE. I DREAMT I WAS FLYING TO OTHER PLANETS TALKING TO ALIENS. WHAT COULD IT MEAN DREAMS ARE NOT OF THE PLEASANT KIND. I CROSS THE SEA IN A SHIP I WATCH IT, IT IS WA VING NICELY, BEFORE ME STANDS A WOMAN. SHE IS RECOUNTING SOMETH ING BORING, TALKING ME TO DEATH. AND I WANT SO BADLY TO GLIMPSE AT LEAST A WHALE'S FIN. I DOVE INTO THE SCRE EN OF A TABLET AND STEPPED OUT RIGHT THROUGH ON THE OTHER SIDE WHAT COULD IT MEAN IN A DREAM TO TOUCH A GAP BETWEEN TEETH? MANY MANY CHAMOMILES THE MEADOW WAS FULL BUT I DID NOT PLUCK THEM JUST SAW.
