I've been struggling with this AU for weeks now, I have a general idea of how it goes but I end up getting stuck whenever I have to work on it T-T

Xinara slumps to the ground, exhausted; he can hear how rapidly her pulse is beating, can smell the fear and stress on her. This close, he can see the source of the fresh blood for himself; her injured arm has several deep gouges. The edges of the wounds are crusted over with clots, but the wounds themselves are still slowly seeping their sanguine tears. He is suddenly so, so hungry. Gritting his teeth, he glowers down at her. “I thought you said you researched your targets before hunting them,” he snaps, crouching down before her. He rips a strip of cloth from her pants, ignoring her shocked protest, and presses it against her wounds. “Hold it there,” he grumbles. “Make sure you apply pressure, or it will keep bleeding. Where’s your medkit?” She’s glaring at him. Good. Anger means she hasn’t lost too much blood. “I don’t know,” she says, her tone surly. “It must have dropped somewhere over there,” she points in the direction of the bruxa, “that fething groxshit ambushed me with his newborn as I was taking aim. Broke my crossbow too, the bastard.”
