Robert from my Flambert Myth of Persephone AU. I tried something completely different with the rendering and used a colored pencil brush I found. I basically did the whole of the coloring with the same brush at a small size and built up strokes. Before I got a tablet I did a lot of colored pencil art so this was very soothing to do something new but somewhat familiar. I like the texture it has at the end. I’ll definitely do this again.

I’ve been struggling some lately with my mental health mostly due to not having medication at the moment but sitting down for hours and hyper focusing on making all these tiny strokes has been helping with my anxiety a lot. It takes a lot longer to do these than the more simple lines and colors I was doing last month to push out a bit of content for my patreon but right now the process of doing this is more rewarding to my soul so things might slow down for a minute while I work on some more stuff like this.

Ok. This is so naughty lol. I def can’t post more than this here. I’m looking into maybe a Patreon or something so if you are interested look out for me to drop the link once I have a bit of content ready. A few people mentioned it to me and I figured I’m a single mom and could always use a side hustle. I draw so much all the time and have never tried to monetize it before but since I have a whole ass art degree(I feel guilty about not really using for my livelihood) maybe I should give it a shot.

Anyway, the full image is Robert tied to a headboard by wrist cuffs with a spreader bar between his ankles. He has a cock ring on and you can see ALL the frontal red ring implants Shroud gave him. He also has some light lash marks on his inner thighs as well as the bottom of his feet……

Ok I really wanted to finish this so after I turned the keys in to my condemned flooded wreck of an apartment I sat down in the new place and basically finished this in one sitting.

My thoughts on this AU is that Elliot is Demeter. Robbie is Zeus. Elliot doesn’t care about Robert much other than the fact he is Zeus’ progeny and thus has a lot of power. He drains Robert’s power for his own on a regular basis. This is the reason he is so controlling and doesn’t want to let Robert out of his domain.

The red vines are a parasitic plant called cuscuta or dodder. It doesn’t have chlorophyll so cannot utilize photosynthesis. Instead it wraps around a host plant and grows a special kind of root called haustoria. It embeds these roots in its host penetrating their vascular system and steals water and nutrients through them. There are a few types of dodder that are red in color so I thought it would be perfect to symbolize the parasitic nature of the relationship I am imagining between Elliot/Demeter and Robert/Persephone in this AU.

The blue flower in the background the dodder is wrapped all around is blue starflower. In this image I mean for it to represent transformation and change as well as endurance and perseverance- Elliot is trying to keep everything the same even though Robert wants to grow. Robert is very stubborn though and intends to endure and find a way out of his situation.

My apartment flooded and this past week and a half/ 2 weeks I’ve been scrambling to get all my stuff moved into a new unit - crazy when there is a house of 5 to move. It has been a complete nightmare that I would not wish upon anyone but we are finally done. This weekend I should be able to set everything up in the new apartment and then I should be back to business as usual finally cause I have like 6 things I’m in the middle of drawing plus a collab I haven’t even started yet (you know who you are I’m so sorry thank you for being patient!)
