Boy, I sure love that Star War

Maybe it's because Anakin fans have spent YEARS playing whack a mole with nearly every other character in Star Wars, especially the Jedi, just to find a way to make everything that happens NOT Anakin's fault.

Maybe it's it's because Star Wars fans IN GENERAL have spent YEARS deciding that the Prequels were all about the Jedi and the Jedi's failure and how that doomed them, Anakin, and the galaxy, instead of recognizing that it was about ANAKIN and ANAKIN'S FAILURE.

Maybe because Anakin's failures, Anakin's culpability, and Anakin's RESPONSIBILITY have been buried for years and years and years and gotten thrown onto nearly every other character from the Prequels BUT Anakin (not exclusively but primarily the Jedi like Mace, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Ki-Adi-Mundi, the Council, etc).

Maybe it's because some people are just getting super fucking TIRED of pretending like it's not Anakin's fault. Maybe it's because we're super tired of pretending like he's not the main character whose flaws and choices are literally the entire story. Maybe it's because we're tired of the focus always being on how everyone else failed Anakin and never on how Anakin failed everyone else. Maybe it's because we're tired of how Anakin's flaws often get shoved under a rug in favor of focusing on his victimhood and how sad and tragic his story is rather than looking at him as the CAUTIONARY TALE that he actually is.

It was his first day on a Star Wars set and he said he was nervous, so he was imitating Ewan’s own method of acting as Obi-wan. Which so perfectly fits Jango’s character.

“He’s too old/attached to be trained”= He is going to have a Bad Time with the current structure of the order and needs more/better support.

“You don’t get the title of master”= you were knighted too young and this war has caused all the padawans of the order to mature too quickly. You haven’t done the things that would earn you the title of master. We are in precarious political standing, so you get to sit with us, but you need more time to grow.

“Don’t come to arrest Palpatine”= turning in a friend and mentor was not easy for you. Watching him be arrested is going to hurt you even more.

But of course, Anakin’s rejection sensitivity can only see all of this as malice and hate.
