we should all die together..
He lay there in a deep sleep, his face was relaxed for once. Rodolphus twitched in sleep, a light sheen of sweat covering his forehead, his mouth opening as he began to pant. This was abnormal for the older boy, for he never dreamed, much less have a nightmare. But deep within the mans dream, he was on his knees, holding a beautiful brunette in his arms. His face. Broken. But enough... let's start at the beginning of his dream, shall we?
Rodolphus was dressed in the best attire for the pureblood party, you see tonight was the official announcement for Rodolphus and Bellatrix, union. He had to be on his best behavior, but Rodolphus couldn't stop himself, he looked down the hall as he passed by with Bellatrix by his side. There Emma stood, a secret smile on her face as she watched him walk by. Merlin, he wanted this party to be over so he could be with her. But he felt the tightening of a hand on his left, where Bellatrix stood, her eyes shooting fire at Emma. "How dar-," She started to his at him, but he shushed her. "Quiet, Wife. People are watching, people like your Father." He smirked, leaning down to kiss her snarling lips.Â
Rodolphus looked back to find a emotionless Emma, but Rodolphus knew this was killing her inside. She hated Bellatrix as much as Bellatrix hated her, if not more. Rodolphus's eyes widened as he saw a familiar figure behind his Rose, it was his father.. Rodolphus tried to break away from his intended, but she held onto him tighter. He turned to her with his eyes narrowed and his teeth barred, but he was met with a look of pure satisfaction. "Anything wrong, Husband?" She purred, going up to her tip toes and encircling him in her embrace. "You bloody bitch." He snapped, forgetting there was a crowd and shoved her roughly away from him. He turned back to Emma and was paniced to find her missing, his father as well. Rodolphus didn't think, he started to run down the hall, the laughter of his wife following him. "I warned you!"
He went deeper into his families estate, calling out for his beloved Emma, but was only met with silence. Rodolphus's heart began to race, as fear began to consume him. Where was she?! Was she alright?! What had he done to her?! Whatever he did, if Emma was harmed in any way he would kill him. Blood be damned. No one hurt what was his! Rodolphus rounded the corner and found them. "Bout time you found us, Rodolphus. Merlin, I thought you were going to take the whole night. But don't you worry, I've been keeping this lovely gem of your's safe and protected." He grinned, his hands moving over Emma's frail frame. The bastard was behind her, using her as a shield. "You bloody coward." Rodolphus hissed, his wand already in hand.
His Father laughed with delight, shaking his head. "Oh, my dear son. You are in fact the coward, you see, you were given many opportunities to let this girl go unharmed, but no. You had to be stubborn and get your way. Well, Rodolphus, you ran out of opportunities, it's time for consequences. Now, give her up and never speak to her again or she dies" His father grinned then, his lips moving to Emma's ear and licking it. Rodolphus barred his teeth, his nostrils flaring out. His father would be so careless. Emma's family, though weak in the pureblood society was still pure of blood. "I'm calling your bluff, Father." Rodolphus said in a dark voice, his eyes challenging him.
His father shook his head, "You still have a lot to learn, Rodolphus." And then he stabbed Emma in the back. The air in Rodolphus's lung's rushed out, as if he'd been hit with a spell. His face betraying the surprise and horror of what he had just done. His eyes were watching his Father pull out the knife and jam it back in Emma's body. Rodolphus stood there, his body un-moving as his father continued his assault on the woman he declared his soul to. Then Emma screamed, snapping Rodolphus out of his shock and he leaped forward with a roar of agony and rage. Wrapping an arm around Emma and pulling her from his fathers grip. "NO!" He howled, placing her gently on the floor. "Emma, Love. Look at me." Emma spat out blood, her eyes were wide with pain, but there was also love in them. She reached up a hand, touching a tear that moved down his cheek. "I'm fine.." She whispered, she kept repeating the words to him as she bled out.Â
Rodolphus raised his wand, about to help her, when-- "Expelliarmus!" His wand was ripped away and caught in his fathers empty hand. "Weak!" He spat at him, "I did not raise you this way Rodolphus.. You're pathetic. I'll teach you." Rodolphus's eyes widened, realizing what was to come next. "CRUCIO!" Rodolphus screamed, a thousand knives stabbing into him, a never ending pain of torture. But soon the spell was lifted, and Rodolphus could breath again. Rodolphus crawled to Emma, covering her cooling body. Why was she cold? Rodolphus was still in thought, when he felt a pain in his right shoulder. He looked behind him and found a knife buried deep in his back. The same one that was in Emma earlier. He looked up at the grinning monster that he called Father, as he stalked over. "We aren't finished yet, Rodolphus. You will learn your place. How dare you defy me. Test me." He gripping Rodolphus by the hair and pulled him away from the dying woman. Rodolphus tried to fight, but was backhanded to the ground and before he could regain his footing, he was kicked in the stomach.
He coughed, wiping at the corner of his mouth, pulling it back and found blood there. Rodolphus sneered, getting up and running at his father. He wasn't a boy anymore, he could take him and as Rodolphus reached him, he felt a sharp object penetrating his lower abdomen and quickly making its way across, then out his other side. Gutting him. Rodolphus moaned, feeling the warmth of his blood exiting his body and onto the floor. "Tsk, tsk. Lesson one, never run at your attacker, it leaves him enough room and time to plan his attack. Lesson two, never underestimate your enemy. I may be old my son, but I am no fool. Lesson three, don't ever let your emotions dictate your will. It will get you killed one day. Lesson four, Rodolphus...You will never be free of me." His father chuckled, shoving his son to the ground and just before he hit the ground......
Rodolphus sat up, gasping for air, his hands running over his body. He was sweaty, but there was no blood.. his abdomen was rough, years of scaring still covering his form. Rodolphus was still out of breath, it was just a dream...just a dream.. Rodolphus groaned, throwing his legs over the bed, resting his elbows on his knee's, as he caught his breath. After a ten minutes or so, he got up, making his way to the bathroom, to wash his face off. The cool water felt amazing on his burning skin, he reached for the towel and dried off. He set the towel down and looked up at the mirror. Rodolphus's eyes widened with horror as the face of his father came into view. He snapped his head behind him, but there was no one there. Confused, he turned back to the mirror and there was his father. Then, he knew.."Final lesson, Rodolphus, you're just like me."
