She obviously didn’t ever expect her brother to kill himself. Zoe Murphy who has to wade through her whole life feeling conflicted about her brother. Feeling like her parents paid more attention to him than her. Then he dies. And she is sad and angry and confused. And people are still paying more attention to her brother. Even Evan is. People are pushing to get to her. To be a part of her grief. And she can’t really go to anyone about this. Her parents are grieving, busy with their own problems. And she can’t go to Evan, her brother’s best friend, about her conflicting feelings.
