i definitely think the pacing of s3 is kinda wack so far but why are we pretending this show has never had pacing issues before. several episodes s2 and even a couple in s1 are pretty meandering and slow. like i specifically remember the first 3 episodes of s2 as well as ep6 being criticized for being slow when the season was airing. and then of course the s2 finale went really fast. like. your criticism of the pacing will be stronger if you just acknowledge it’s been a constant issue instead of pretending like it just started out of nowhere.

wasn’t it the magnus episode that screeners were saying has an 80s style music video in it. so we are getting the horrors and also lestat trying to ignore the horrors or at least make them more palatable to himself by making a corny music video to a song he wrote about his own abduction and rape from the POV of his rapist. which instead of actually making anything more palatable will in fact just make everything more horrific. awesome.
