Back to where we left off, Blake, Star, and Y/n are chilling at the Balcony café as Blake is drinking tea and Y/n is drinking Sakura tea.
Star then speaks after the two girls bask in each other's presence.
Star: Finally, she speaks! Nearly two days and you've given me nothing but small talk and weird looks!
Blake ends up glaring at her as a warning.
Blake then asks Star if she's heard of the White Fang, and Star says everyone knows them. Blake then tells the tale of how the group came to be. Way back, Fannuskind was struggling to acquire equal rights amongst humanity, and the White Fang were created as a peaceful group, and she basically was born into it. Attending all the protests, boycotts, rallies, and any event that would have the Fannus people be heard. But peaceful methods were failing, so by the time a new leader came into power, their methods changed.
The White Fang alongside the Ashen Vanguard would destroy any business or company that refused to treat them equally and they gained respect. However, it was out of fear, not genuine respect.
So, Blake left the White Fang and ended up in Beacon Academy.
After hearing her story, Star comes to terms with this and asks Blake what the rest of team RWBY think.
Star: So... have you told your friends any of this?
Blake: Aside from Y/n, not really.
Star: (to Y/n) Do you know anything about the Ashen Vanguard?
Y/n: Well... all I know is that, similar to the Fannus, the Nephilim were constantly subjected to unfair treatment by humans. We desperately needed a representative to prove that Nephilim posed no threat. However, humans harbored resentment against us because we attempted to take over Remnant. Nephilim had little place to call home, as both Heaven and Hell regarded us as abominations. Yet, humanity refused to understand us or seek reconciliation. As a result, much like what happened with the White Fang, the Ashen Vanguard gained a new, more aggressive leader and descended into violence. They engaged in everything from assassinating corrupt politicians and their bloodlines to bombing dust factories, conducting live executions, torturing prisoners., extorting, and blackmailing. What was once a movement fighting against the evil within mankind and Nephilim became corrupted and malevolent itself.
Star: Great. Two revolutionary groups descended into madness. What a show.
Meanwhile, the rest of team RWBY joined with team MAGIK went about the town streets in search of Y/n and Blake.
Jackie: Y/n, if you don't show yourself now, I'll rip you a fucking new one!
Gina: (smacks Jackie on the head) Dumbass, we're trying to find her,not scare her. Plus, Blake and Y/n aren't pets so let's try and be reasonable about this.
Misaki then emerges from the shadows as she walks over to her teammates and team RWBY.
Misaki: I checked everywhere I could. I checked her favorite tea shops, bakeries, restaurants, fashion stores, everywhere. My darling must be sick! Or worse!
Nami walks up to Misaki and places a hand on her shoulder.
Nami: Mis, you need to calm down. We'll find Y/n and Blake.
Misaki turns to Weiss and points at Weiss with fury in her eyes.
Misaki: You haven't been helping in this whole search, Weiss!
Weiss: Oh! You know what might be able to help? The police!
Misaki: You fool. What the fuck is wrong with you?
Weiss states that everyone should realize that she was right about Blake and her affiliations with the White Fang and Penny pops up. Penny asks what's going on and the girls tell her what's up as Penny agrees to join.
Misaki then decides to blow off on Weiss for her behavior.
Misaki: Before we go, Weiss, there's something you need to understand.
Misaki: Did you ever think the reason why no one likes you is cause you're a selfish, discriminatory, rude, and spoiled piece of shit? Because of you, my darling, Y/n, is out there with Blake, possibly cold, has no food or anything to keep her safe? You say that you care about Y/n but go on to say the most discriminatory things about Nephilim, saying they're all violent, murderous, and have no humanity. That every single Fannus and Nephilim who act like delinquents all join the White Fang and Ashen Vanguard because that's their only goal in life. You drove two of your teammates away because of your selfish actions, your bigotry, your racist remarks, and your own incompetence.
Misaki starts to cry as she screams.
Misaki: You don't know the suffering my darling, Y/n, went through.
Weiss stands there shocked just as everyone else follows suit.
Misaki: Just like her, I was bullied for being a half-breed of an eldritch entity and a mortal! People cowarded away from me in fear cause of my heritage, I was beaten, assaulted by girls in my class, harassed and mistreated. Aside from Jackie, Gina, Nami, Masami, and Kyoka, Y/n respected me for me! And I had to watch as people abused her just the same and way worse, her sisters can testify to this.
The rest of the L/n sisters nod in agreement.
Misaki then pokes Weiss on her chest.
Misaki: I promised myself that I would protect her, no matter what. And if we find her and she's a dead corpse, rotting in the fucking ground...
Misaki turns into her eldritch entity form as she glares at Weiss with her multiple eyes.
Misaki: You'll be a dead corpse resting in my fucking stomach.
Misaki then reverts to base form as she walks off.
Meanwhile, Blake and Y/n are watching over a rooftop, overlooking all the shipment of Schnee Dust containers while under the dead of night.
Star: Did I miss anything?
They turn to face Star, dropping over to Blake's right.
Y/n: Not really. If anything, the movie's just getting started.
Blake: Exactly. They've offloaded the crates from the boats. Now they're just sitting there.
Star hands out sone green apples to the girls.
Star: I stole you guys some food!
Blake: Do you always break the law without a second thought?
Star: Hey, weren't you in a cult or something?
Y/n shocks her with her holy lightning as she and Blake angrily glare at Star.
Suddenly, the wind starts to pick up around them and a Bullhead's spotlights are seen flashing everywhere, searching for a landing spot. It descends down in the middle of the cargo containers as a ramp emerges, and two individuals, dressed in completely different uniforms emerge. One with a metallic fanged mask and the other dressed in military gear but with a hint of medieval flair on the mask.
A/n: The Ashen Vanguard's style is based on the soldiers from Code Vein 2. The Ashen Vanguard have varying looks and outfits that are based off souls games and etc. You get it.
Blake notices that the White Fang and Ashen Vanguard have arrived.
Blake stares at the bloody wolf on the man's back.
Y/n: And not just the White Fang. The Ashen Vanguard are here too.
Y/n stares at the angel and demon wing emblem on the Ashen Vanguard soldier's back and the arm band on his right arm.
A/n: You can picture it on the left, the choice is yours. Also, the wings are based on the good and bad karma emblems from Infamous: Second Son.
Ashen Vanguard Soldier: C'mon, people! Let's go!
White Fang Soldier: All right, grab the tow cables!
Y/n: This is freaking crazy.
Star: You really didn't think they were behind it, did you?
Blake stares sadly at the scene, the organization she once fought for, the values she had, all that due to the White Fang. And now, seeing the White Fang have gone down into stealing Dust.
Blake: No. I think deep down I knew. I just didn't want to be right.
Blake closes her eyes in shame as Y/n hugs her.
Y/n: I'm so sorry, Blake.
Suddenly, a voice is heard, one that Y/n knows very well. That being the voice of Roma Torchwick.
Roma: Hey! What's with the hold up!?
The soldiers see a gesturing Roma walking alongside a white-haired man.
This man has flowing long white hair that cascades over his shoulders, piercing crimson eyes that seem to glow with intensity, and wears a semi-dark brown coat adorned with the Ashen Vanguard emblem prominently displayed on his chest and matching armband. He accessorizes with distinctive cross-shaped earrings and carries a well-maintained katana holstered at his side, hinting at his readiness for battle.
This man is Kaiden Kageyama, the leader of the Ashen Vanguard, in the flesh.
Roma: We're not exactly the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves at the moment, so why don't you animals try to pick up the pace?
Kaiden: Roma, why don't you try to calm down? We have all the time in the world, you see. No one knows of this location except us.
Roma: Easy for you to say, pretty boy.
Roma: That wasn't a fucking compliment. Besides, I'm into women, not men.
Blake, watching this from the rooftop, is confused. The White Fang and Ashen Vanguard have never bothered to work with a human. And suddenly, they've partnered with someone of the likes of Roma Torchwick.
Blake gets up and unsheathes her weapon, Gambol Shroud as she jumps off.
Star: Hey, what are you doing!?
Y/n gets up and conjures two handguns, a gift she got from Danielle, Ebony and Ivory. These guns are the upgraded version of the original.
Y/n follows after Blake as Blake holds Roma hostage, placing her blade at her throat as Y/n pops up with Ebony and Ivory aimed at Kaiden and Roma.
Y/n: Don't. Move. A fucking. Muscle.
Kaiden simply stays silent, admiring Y/n from the angle he's in.
All Ashen Vanguard and White Fang soldiers aim their weapons at the girls.
Blake then takes off her bow, revealing her Fannus features to everyone present.
Blake: Brothers of the White Fang! And Brothers of the Ashen Vanguard! Why are you aiding this scum?
Blake: And you, you despise humanity, why work with one of them?
Kaiden: Blake Belladonna, it's been a while.
Y/n: Wait, Blake, you know him?
Blake: Yeah. The White Fang and Ashen Vanguard have been allies for a while so we crossed paths here and there.
Kaiden: The White Fang's most beloved soldier abandoned her cause and now lives in Vale. You've grown soft. I always said you couldn't carry the cause in your heart.
Y/n aims Ivory at Kaiden, shutting him up.
Y/n: Say another word and a bullet is going through your skull.
Kaiden: Y/n L/n, I can't believe we finally meet.
Blake and Y/n: How do you know her?/How do you know me?
Blake then tells Roma her operation is over but Roma states otherwise as various Bullheads flying over.
We then switch over to Ruby, Nami and Penny as they turn around and see smoke rising.
Nami: Shit! That's not good, not good at all.
We then swap back to Blake and Y/n as Blake battles Roma, she ends up dazed on the ground but relatively unhurt. She then runs out of the way of Roma's attacks, flaming missiles being hurled behind her. She uses her Semblance to dodge as she retreats behind the containers.
Roma: Here, kitty, kitty, kitty...
Her taunt gets interrupted as a banana peel falls on her head, she looks up and her eyes widen at the assailant. That being Star Wukong herself.
Star leaps from the container above Roma and drops down on the criminal woman's face feet- first, rolling up and readying herself to fight.
Some Bullheads arrive and drop off dozens of White Fang and Ashen Vanguard soldiers. The soldiers surround the monkey Fannus.
Star pulls out a red collapsible staff and fights against her opponents.
Meanwhile, Y/n armed with her own Rebellion sword as she fights Kaiden.
A/n: The one from the og series, not the reboot series. That one will be named Revolution.
Y/n swings down her sword as Kaiden perfectly counters.
Kaiden: You're quite the warrior, Y/n.
Y/n: I'm not sure what's pissing me off more, the fact you know my name or the fact that you're flashing that smart ass grin.
Kaiden: I merely wish to admire my opponent's strength as I fight them.
Y/n: How many opponents have you admired so far?
Kaiden: Not as many as you. You're special, Y/n. Very special.
Y/n then quickly jabs Kaiden with Rebellion, using Million Stab, unleashing a flurry of thrusts at Kaiden which he blocks with his katana.
Kaiden unsheathes his katana, Kurai, as he slashes Y/n, causing her Aura to flare up from the damage.
Y/n and Kaiden continue their clash of blades as Y/n transforms into her angel form, harnessing her angelic energy into the blade and unleashing a light slash.
Kaiden however dodges and readies his katana as he breaths out.
Translation: Dark Sword Slash.
Kaiden unleashes a horizontal sword slash of darkness which causes Y/n to block with her angel wings.
Y/n is pushed back as she then uses Trickster to quickly evade as Kaiden's slash destroys the containers behind Y/n.
Y/n then transforms into her partial Devil Trigger as dark horns pop from her head, a red Aura envelops her body, her hair turns white, and her skin becomes pale. Along with red veins spreading across her body.
A/n: Something like this.
Y/n then uses the power of her partial Devil Trigger to slow Kaiden as she swings her sword and slashes across his body. Swinging her body and blade up, and swinging her sword, cutting him down before grabbing him and tossing the man over where Star and Blake are.
Y/n: I'm fine. Are you doing okay?
Star: We are. Thanks for asking.
Y/n: Glad you're OK, monkey girl.
Kaiden gets up and transforms into his demon form and flies over to Y/n as they clash blades.
However, a bunch of Ashen Vanguard soldiers block Blake's path.
Kaiden: None of you shall interfere with our battle.
Kaiden then grabs Y/n and tosses her far across the shipment area as she crashes into a container, making a dent in the container.
Kaiden unleashes another dark slash as Y/n dodges and dodges his relentless attacks. Y/n then equips King Cerberus and uses the nunchuks to create an ice wall.
Y/n then hops over the ice wall as the two fight again.
Kaiden: You're quite the warrior, Y/n! Your family surely trained you well.
Y/n: Flattery will get you nowhere!
Y/n kicks Kaiden in the stomach as she jumps back.
Kaiden: You've got quite the potential in you. A Nephilim girl born to one of the greatest families in the world. And the girl who has the blood of the great heroes of Remnant. Quite unique. Very unique.
Y/n: What are you talking about? How do you know about the blood inside me? How do you know my name?!
Kaiden: I know a lot about you. Especially about the things your family hides. Don't you think it's strange you were randomly poisoned because your mothers are big shots, Huntresses? Please! I've heard of Huntresses with bigger reputations that didn't get that much bad attention. Have you heard of the great royal families of the Nephilim race?
Y/n: I know about them. House Voda, House Asturias, House McLeish, House Anjou, House MagMell. The great royal families and bloodlines that govern the Nephilim race. Families that descended from the Nephilim Queen. What are you getting at?
Kaiden: There's also one more house. The house that's been ruling our people since the very beginning. One that's been ruling from the shadows.
Meanwhile, the whole conflict between Blake, Star, Roma and the White Fang and Ashen Vanguard continue as team RWBY shows up to fight alongside team MAGIK.
Penny assists heavily as she uses her blades to take out a bunch of White Fang soldiers and Ashen Vanguard soldiers. And blasts a Kamehameha wave with her floating swords, wiping out a good chunk of them.
Back to Y/n, Kaiden points his sword as he states:
Kaiden: That family is yours. House L/n, the true rulers of the Nephilim people!
A/n: I understand that some of you might feel this development came unexpectedly, but I want to clarify that I had been planning this storyline for quite some time when I created this fanfic. In particular, I had previously hinted at Y/n's ability to wield Sparda's legendary weapons, such as Yamato and Rebellion, as well as her potential to access Kratos' Spartan Rage. While I haven't yet shown what she can do with Bayonetta's weapons and powers, I plan to reveal more about that in future chapters. Of course, since this is my fanfic, I reserve the right to steer the story as I see fit. I genuinely hope you enjoy the direction it's taking. Additionally, I gave subtle hints that there is more to Y/n's family background, especially when her moms mentioned they would tell her more about her origins later, implying there are many secrets yet to be uncovered.
Y/n: What?! You're lying! This is bullshit! Fucking bullshit!
Kaiden: Wow! Sweet Y/n, I may be many things but I'm no liar. I speak truth. Your family hid this from you to keep you safe. They hid the powers you received from the blood inside you, they hid the fact that you were poisoned as a baby and now you learn the fact that they hid the fact that you were born royalty. Everyone around you has lied to you. They might say that they care but they don't. The friends around you, they don't care. They're all the same. Humanity claims us monsters, that we're violent, destructive, yet they kill their own family, friends, lovers, soldiers and pollute their lands, discriminate against each other and yet have the nerve to consider us dangerous. Such hubris, such arrogance.
Y/n: If everything you said is true, what do you want with me?
Kaiden: Simple. I'm inviting you to join the Ashen Vanguard. Your power and potential are wasted at Beacon Academy, a school teaching future Huntsmen and Huntresses to sustain a fixed system that will forever keep us down. A Headmistress so unknown that barely anyone knows anything about her. So, what do you say?
Y/n starts to ponder everything that she's hearing. Just yesterday she found out she had the blood of the great heroes of Remnant in her veins and now she's apparently royalty?! It was confusing but one thing remained certain, this man was a fucking psychopath. She then aims Ebony and Ivory at his face.
Y/n: Here's a kiss from me, you fucking asshole!
Y/n fires two bullets from the guns at Kaiden but he dodges and immediately sprints at Y/n and stabs her in the chest.
Y/n coughs up blood as Kaiden whispers in her ear.
Kaiden: (whispering) Now, I'm gonna go have fun with your friends. If you want to save them, you must abandon your humanity and embrace your inner darkness.
Roma: Hey, Kaiden! We gotta get the fuck out of here now!
Kaiden faces Y/n as he says:
Kaiden: I believe in you. I know you can do it.
He then pulls out his katana from Y/n's chest as she collapses to the ground.
Kaiden then walks up to his men and tells them that they need to leave.
Kaiden: Prepare our evac immediately.
Ashen Vanguard Soldier #2: Yes, sir!
Ashen Vanguard Soldier #2 heads off to get a Bullhead ready.
Jackie notices that Kaiden's katana, Kurai, is stained in blood.
Jackie: Hey, where is Y/n? What the fuck did you do?!
Kaiden: Let's say I just helped Jumpstart her true potential. Unlocked darkness she's had locked away due to your secrets.
Meanwhile, Y/n is laying on the ground, bleeding to death. We then go into her inner world as she wakes up, gasping in shock.
Y/n looks around and sees the place she's in a seemingly dark and empty place.
???: Well, well, well. It seems we finally meet.
Y/n sees what appears to be herself but with dark hair, red eyes, horns, demon wings, and a tail. Her nails are sharp and blood red, her sclera is pitch black, and dressed in a seductive black dress.
A/n: Think a bit of Ramielle from Zenless Zone Zero's appearance. Before the white fit.
Demon Y/n: Hello there, Y/n. I'm the demonic half of you. Actually, considering what you are, I'm more of a manifestation of your inner darkness. Your violent tendencies, lust, sadism, etc.
Y/n: Wait. Last time I checked, me and Blake came to stop the White Fang and Ashen Vanguard from stealing Dust, fought Roma and Kaiden, Kaiden stabbed me and I found out-
Y/n pauses as she remembers what the leader of the Ashen Vanguard told her.
Demon Y/n: That you were born royalty? That your big sisters and mommies lied to you? That everything around you isn't what it seems? I know. I'm you.
Demon Y/n then pops up behind Y/n as she places a finger on her lips.
Demon Y/n: Shhhh! Don't speak.
Demon Y/n: I said shhhh! Now, I'm gonna take over your body and have some fun.
Y/n: You can't do that, I won't-!
Demon Y/n summons chains as they wrap around Y/n and darkness covers her mouth.
Back to reality, Yang, who just joined the fight, swings her fists at Kaiden but the man remains as calm as a cucumber.
Kaiden: You're nothing more than a brute. This bores me.
Yang: You attacked Y/n! It's personal, motherfucker.
Yang continues tossing various punches at Kaiden who dodges and Misaki joins in but Kaiden dances around the two like it's nothing.
Kaiden: I grow tired of this.
Kaiden evades an attack on both sides as he readies to finish this but then a wave of darkness sweeps the area.
Y/n rises from the ground as her wound heals but her demon side has taken over, the only thing now on her mind is death and destruction.
Y/n: Everyone.~ Let's not stop the party yet, I wanna play a game with you.~ And it involves all of you... IN FUCKING BODY BAGS!!!!!!!!
Ashen Vanguard Soldier #2: Yes, sir!
The Bullhead arrives as Kaiden watches Y/n in her berserk state, try to kill everything in sight.
Roma: OK, you're fucking insane. As much as she's annoying, you didn't have to do that at all.
Kaiden: As the saying goes, "The ends justify the means."
Roma: You just made that girl go nuts!
Kaiden: Knowing her friends, they'll save her. In turn, this will inspire her to get stronger and then I'll have her as mine.
Roma: You know that won't happen, right? That kid doesn't seem to want to join you.
Kaiden: True, but I'll have her one way or the other.
Meanwhile, team RWBY and MAGIK dodge a slash from Y/n as she tries to cut them all down.
Y/n: Stop moving, damm you! It's not fun if you move. Just stay so I can kill you and drink your blood. And maybe I'll feast on your flesh, so you can be with me forever.
Misaki: Darling, that's adorable. But I'd be rather have you in my arms than me in your stomach.
Ruby: Yeah, N/n. Snap out of it.
Y/n unconjures Rebellion as she summons a giant saw.
A/n: Picture that saw weapon from Bloodborne. The spinning one.
Y/n attempts to kill Ruby but Gina creates strings of light which restrains Y/n.
Gina: Baby sis, you there?
Y/n: You ruined my kill? You're next!
Y/n then pulls at the strings as her body starts to bleed.
Y/n: I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She breaks the strings of light as Gina is knocked back on her ass. Y/n then says in a sing-song tone.
Y/n: Gina, did you know I'm a princess? Apparently, my family didn't bother to tell poor old N/n.
Y/n then stomps on a nearby rat as her tongue extends to the floor and picks it up as she eats the dead rat. Crunching noises are heard across the shipment area.
Y/n then licks her lips as she blushes with a yandere face as she clamps her hands on her face.
Y/n: I've never felt so alive in so long!~ I'm so happy!
Gina: Y/n, listen to me. I know your demon side has taken over your body and mind. I know the real Y/n is in there. Please, we need you.
Y/n: You don't know me! You lied to me! Hid the truth, spat in my face! Tried to control me, but not anymore! I'm free, baby! Free to do as I please and nothing can stop me now!
Just as Y/n is about to commit homicide on her sister, Blake uses Gambol Shroud to wrap around Y/n, firmly holding her in place.
Blake: Y/n, enough of this! This isn't you, you know it! That's your demon half talking, don't let it define. Don't let your inner darkness control you.
Y/n: You don't know me! You know NOTHING! I'll kill you and feast on your flesh and blood!
Blake: Y/n, I know what's it like to have a part of you that can't always be controlled. I know what it's like to be ashamed of that part of you everyone hates. People hated me for my Fannus heritage, looked down on me. I joined the White Fang, believing I could make a difference and for a while, it seemed I had. Albeit, it came at the cost of a few innocent lives along the way. This part of you shouldn't control you, you can control it, become one with it.
For a bit, Y/n snaps back to her normal self.
Y/n: I c-cant control it! I'm not strong enough!
Ruby: You are, Wifey. You always have been.
Weiss: They're right! Despite the fact you can be a dolt like Ruby-!
Weiss: (to Ruby) Quiet, you! (Back to Y/n) You can control it.
Yang: We understand that for you, it's not easy to control this power. So, we'll help you.
Blake: We'll be there for you. To help you get stronger, so you don't have to worry.
Ruby: We're a team, N/n. We love you.
Y/n's demon half starts to resurface as it fights for control. Demon Y/n and actual Y/n battle each other both in Y/n's inner world and her body as Y/n screams.
Y/n: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
A dark wave of energy bursts out as Y/n regains control of her body and collapses to the ground as her demon herself speaks.
Demon Y/n: I'll take control of this body again and when I do, it's over.
Y/n: (muttering to herself) We'll see about that. I'll become strong to beat you and control my power. You'll see.
Demon Y/n: We'll see. But if you fail, your body is mine. I am you and you are me.
Y/n falls asleep as Star speaks.
Star: Damn! That was hot.
Jackie: Excuse me, who the fuck are you?
Blake: That's Star, she met me and Y/n outside school. Kept us company.
Jackie: Huh? Why thank you. I guess.
After that whole fiasco, the police show up and the ambulance takes Y/n to the hospital. Blake then attempts to apologize for not telling everyone the truth. However, Weiss stops her and states she's sorry for all the things she said about her and Fannus as a whole including Nephilim. She states that this experience made her learn not to judge others for any superficial reason. The team then hugs as they head off to see Y/n.
Meanwhile, we see Roma at a warehouse, walking over to a table with a case containing mysterious contents.
Cinder: How very disappointing, Roma.
Roma turns around and sees Cinder and her group walking in.
Roma: Whoa! Hehe... I wasn't expecting you guys so soon...
Cinder walks into the light, revealing her face.
Cinder: We were expecting... more from you.
Roma laughs a bit before getting serious.
Roma: Hey! You were the ones who suggested working with the mutts and half angel half demon psychos.
Cinder creates a fireball as one girl with gray hair and another with green hair appear.
Cinder chuckles evilly as she speaks.
Cinder: And you will continue to do do so. We have big plans for you, Roma. All we ask... is a little cooperation.
