Some fun facts:

The lining was made from the original SLEEVES of the red shirt this was, so the inside panels have little buttons! + it’s hand sewn!

The buttons are metal and chosen bc they look like skateboard ball bearings/wheels

My Edwardian undergarments are finished!!! Scandalous!! Time to clothe this girl!!

Almost 7 and a half months of work in one image. Here’s to more months!

For reference to anyone new, I’m making a historically accurate Avrille cosplay (see below, yeah that’s a grainy photo from her 2 seconds of screentime.) based in the Edwardian era. I also live stream the progress and other projects on my twitch!! It’s been a lot of fun and very creatively and educationally fulfilling for me to make this huge project :)

Pictured here: chemise, bloomers, corset, bustle pad, corset cover, two petticoats, top hat, and handmade lace choker.

Left to make: blouse, overskirt, gloves, bow, and maybe stockings (idk if I will make or buy these tbh. Might have to learn how to knit).

Sounds like not much to the finish line but that blouse alone will probably take me months lol

Ramshackle and Avrille are both made by @/Zeddyzi (don’t wanna tag them I’m a scared) but this pilot and fandom has consumed my life both creatively and casually and I couldn’t be happier, I love this stuff. Wonderful fandom, wonderful conversations had, and absolutely amazing support.

Ik I sometimes yap abt it but I’m forever grateful for Avrille cane rep user because I went on a whole rant while drawing that about chronic pain and the realities of it I face every day, its amazing to see a character I can relate to even if our disabilities don’t work in the same way. Representation matters!!!

I also know her disability isn’t talked about much, but I love that it’s just a part of her and not her personality. She’s a woman in stem and a wine bitch!!! Shes also disabled and it doesn’t hold her back from pursuing her goals and passions!! She just has to go about it a little differently.
