* dinner and a show
âwhoa,â san starts in between huge bites of food, his face lighting up in the process. ânoona, this is amazing.â he blinks down at the bowl in his lap as he shovels in spoonfuls of the home cooked meal sohee had made for them into his mouth. âthank you for cooking for me~â he looks back up at her with a grin, cheeks full and dimples visible as he speaks cutely. sure, he talks with his mouth full sometimes, but he at least didnât chew with his mouth open. he had some manners.
he wipes the corner of his lip with his finger and finishes swallowing before covering his mouth with a giggle, embarrassed upon realizing just how fast he had been eating. he couldnât help it though; he loved food and he loved to eat, and it was no secret san loved soheeâs cooking. it reminded of his momâs cooking, and love in the form of food was something san appreciated the two of them shared together. it was definitely something he needed as of late.
san slows his eating once his nerves settle down after finally getting something into his stomach and he stretches out his legs a bit, leaning back into couch. âthanks for coming over,â he mumbles, setting his spoon back into the bowl and letting it slide along the edge to the bottom. he clears his throat and looks over at her again; why did he feel so nervous? âi was, uh, i was actually going to reach out to you first, but you beat me to it,â he chuckles.
for @rksoheeâ ! *
sohee felt her best when she could take care of other people. thatâs why she didnât mind taking the time to prepare a huge meal -- enough for leftovers -- for her younger cousin. things werenât how they used to be anymore. she couldnât keep a closer eye like she wanted to or even check up as often as sheâd like anymore but she wanted him to know that he still mattered to her. he was like her little brother. if he really needed to, sheâd drop everything for him.
âiâm glad you like it,â she tells him with a smile. it was easy to see that he was going to be eating well for the next few days. his cheeks were full and he couldnât wait to eat everything off his plate. sohee was glad he was getting a good meal. âwhen was the last time you had a home cooked meal? it seems like itâs been a while.â
maybe she should have cooked more. or try to come over a little more often. or, better yet, teach san all of their grandmotherâs cooking secrets. sohee takes her time with the food in contraste. she savours every bite. not to toot her own horn or anything but she did a great job cooking this up. âof course! anything for you.â and she meant it when she said anything.
she smiles over at him. âwell, i missed you. i know itâs not super great having to wait forever for me to be free for us to spend time together.â especially not when itâs nothing more than a couple of hours at most. it doesnât make up for all the time sohee is too busy but its a start. âdid you miss me or my cooking?â
