Davrook week / Day 1 First Impressions
It's funny like you get ideas, sometimes. This moment of "name reveal" used to be totally different in my mind, for a long time. I've always imagined it as Davrin surprising her by using her name during a cozy moment, with her being like "wait, you know my name?" Then, almost two years later, I almost included it into one of my drabbles, changing the whole dynamic of how it happened. I was writing about them bantering during their little trip in Arlathan, while looking for truffles for Assan. I had a flash of Ayanne's face while saying her name to him. Somehow, to her, revealing her own name sounded like a super flirty thing to say (and you know how her flirty face looks like - which is, like an idiot, and we love her for it). And then it changed again. One day I was lying on my couch, waiting for a little headache to pass, feet up on the opposite armrest, and it clicked. Ayanne would do this, I thought. And from there, it was so easy for my brain to put together the rest of the pieces of the puzzle :)
