Still haven't even finished drawing any countryhumans art I've started but I also REALLY wanna make them in tomadachi life 😭😭. I'm gonna need to figure out how to make the facepaint work but I am determined to have a tomadachi island with a bunch of countryhumans

I've been thinking about Mexico and Philippines specifically in relation to Countryhumans recently, I still haven't drawn them tho I've been too busy 😭😭. But did y'all know about the Aztec Eagles in ww2? They are Mexico's only military unit to ever engage in active combat overseas. This force consisted of over 300 volunteers, 36 pilots, 264 ground crew, and 25 P-47D-30-RA aircraft. This crew, who were looked down on by the Americans at first, helped liberate the Philippines from Japan. I can't stop thinking of Mexico making this grueling journey, fighting overseas for the first and only time, going against the Japanese who were particularly ruthless in ww2, all for The Philippines. I NEED to make artwork about this so bad it's KILLING ME!!

Watching the Saturday Night movie is making me oddly fascinated with 70s show/movie making. Especially the whole underdog vibe. Are there any other things related to this topic? Articles, videos, shows, movies etc? I'd like to know some actually history about show biz in the 70s and I want to chew on it and freak out and maybe get high and make some gay poc ocs about it idk I'll see where the night takes me
