Part one:

The atmosphere was tense, sadness filled every inch of the room, including the people stood in it. No one wanted to say anything.

“Will she be okay?” Pepper asked with tears in her eyes.

Loki glanced from your sleeping form to the woman next him and he sighed. He shook his head a little and looked at her.

“I can’t be sure, but I’ve spoken to a wizard there and he says he’ll look after her.”

Pepper nodded and walked over to you, kneeling down she smoothed your hair and pressed a kiss to your forehead. Loki carefully picked you and and took the bag that Pepper offered him.

“Hopefully there she can heal.” Loki muttered looking at you.

Loki looked up to Strange who nodded his head. Pepper carefully cradled your face as tears streamed from her eyes, this was the last thing she wanted to do.

All the other avengers stood there with grim looks on their faces. Thy all knew t would be for the best, they knew being here was too much for you.

“Is this really necessary?” Bucky asked.

“She’s broken, far beyond anyone I’ve ever seen. It’s best to move her.” Strange said.

“After what’s happened do you blame her?” Sam asked.

Everyone shook their head, Loki tightened his hold around you and a blue portal opened open. He walked over to it and looked back on the group once more before disappearing.

The room he walked into was quiet homely, he spotted the wizard and someone else waiting for him. They had readied a bed. The unknown man walked over to the bed and gestures to Loki to put you on it.

“Is this her?” The unknown man asked.

“Indeed, Will she be able to stay here while she adjust Elrond?” Gandalf asked.

“Of course, I’ll have some clothes made for her when she awakes.”

Loki walked to the bed and placed you on it with your bag on the floor next to you. He made sure you had your phone, spare clothes and a few others bits. Gandalf walked over and stood next to Elrond as they looked at you.

“Hopefully she can heal better here. Maybe she can find a reason to smile.” Loki sighed.

“She’s been through a lot, hasn’t she?” Elrond asked.

Loki nodded and turned to both Elrond and Gandalf. His face was grim and he handed a necklace to Gandalf. To them it looked off, a small circle on it that held a name, but Loki knew you’d instantly recognise it.

“I’m not sure when I can come back, remember what I told you Gandalf. This is for (Y/N) when she wakes. She’ll know what it is.”

“Of course Loki, thank you for bringing her here. She’s in capable hands.”

Loki nodded and walked back through the portal and closed it.

Gandalf and Elrond turned to face you, you were pale and sickly looking. Your eyes worn and tired with deep bags under them. Elrond sighed and walked over, placing his hand on your head to check your temperature.

“What did you go through?” He whispered.

“Loki did not say much, but he said she’s witnessed war greater than any we’ve ever seen.”

“At such a young age? This girl is no more than 25.” Elrond turned to Gandalf.

“Her world is very different from ours.” Gandalf mused.

You stirred and whimpered a little before you went quiet again. The pair noticed your hand twitching as if reaching for someone, it went on for a few more seconds before you bolted up right with tears in your eyes as you gasped for air.

You connected eyes with Gandalf and wiped your tears. You looked around unsurely, taking in the new scenery.

“You’re friend Loki brought you here. I’m Gandalf the grey, this is Lord Elrond.”

You nodded along but you didn’t seem to be listening, your hand went to the oversized shirt your wore and balled in its fabric as you turned your eyes downward.

Gandalf am Elrond shared a look, you were more broken than they thought, they were beginning to wonder if you could ever find happiness again, they wanted to know what cause such grief.

“My lady.” Gandalf said gently, “I have something for you.”

Your eyes looked up at him, they were dull and empty. Gandalf walked over and opened his palm where the necklace laid. With a shaky hand you reached out and touched it before gently pulling it from him.

“Thank you...” you whispered.

Gandalf smiled and took a step back. You simply held it in your hand as you looked at it, silent tears streaming down your face.

“When you are ready we’ll show you around.” Elrond smiled.

You just nodded numbly and carried on staring at the necklace, running your fingers along it as you read the well memoried words.

PART ONE:

“What the hell?!” You growled.

Lucifer looked up and smiled, but it quickly slipped from his face as he spotted you storming his way.

“Love?”

“What the fuck?! Why did you lock me in the chiller?!”

“To keep you safe, I told you that it wasn’t safe for you. Yet, for some obscene reason you still came.” He deadpanned.

“I came.” You jabbed his chest, “because it’s my damn job! Who the hell do you think you are?!”

“Lucifer Morningstar.” He grinned without missing a beat.

Taking a deep breath, you walked away, pinching the bridge of your nose as you paced up and down. In all your years of knowing Lucifer, he’d never been so stupid. It wasn’t so much that he locked you in the freezer that pissed you off so much, it was the fact that he thinks that’s acceptable and the guy you needed ALIVE was now dead.

“How did he die?” You asked calmly.

“Why detective decker shot him. You are abit slow today seen tyou darling.”

“Cut the crap lucifer I’m not in the mood. I needed him alive!” You yelled.

“Do tell me, why? You aren’t part of the force. What aren’t you telling me?” He asked suddenly serious.

“It’s none of your damn business.” You snapped walking away.

Lucifer jogged after you and grabbed your arm. Spinning you around to face him, his face was hard and his eyes holding a deadly glint.

“Of course it’s my business, you’re going to get yourself killed! Why can’t you just listen?!” He raised his voice. Eyes flashing red slightly.

“Oh? And you aren’t? I’m a big girl I can protect myself. I’m not some pet!” You snarled ripping your arm away.

“Are you sure about that? You certainly don’t act it.”

In one smooth motion your fist collided with his face, his head snapped to the side and instantly blood began to fall. You glared one last time before storming away, brushing past Chloe and Dan who just watched the whole scene play out.

Dan wore an amused smile while Chloe immediately rushed over.

Hopping into your car, you drove off. Phone in hand as you dialled the familiar number.

“He’s dead…. I tried but some joker got in my way. I’ll be returning immediately… I’ll have someone move it.”

Hanging up, you tossed the phone onto the passenger seat and hit the gas. Arriving at your apartment in record speed, you stuffed things in a bag before again hopping into your car, taking a calming breath of fresh air before oh drove away, not glancing back as the edge of the city got closer.

The day slipped by, music blasted from your speakers. Night soon settled in and the stars rushed by, your phone had been going off the hook but you simply ignored it.

“Nearly there…” you muttered as Day came again and you could finally see the signs for New York. You’d been driving for a whole day and about 16 hours you were exhausted, but needed to get there as soon as possible.

You were thankful the garage was open and you hreagfull pulled your car in, stumbling ungracefully out, and a familiar chuckled echoed the room.

“Need a hand.”

“If I look at your face before I sleep… I’m gonna hurl.”

There was a mock gasped and you glanced up with a lazy grin. Tony stood there with a smirk as he rolled his eyes and walked over.

“You wound me, really. Now, we’re going to get you to bed because I don’t want your snoring in my lab.”

“I don’t want your face to be the last thing I see before I sleep.”

Tony wrapped his arm around you as he led you to the elevator, casting you a worried glance as you leaned against him half asleep. He knew if you were here then it meant nothing good, something had happened and your mission had been ruined…

He’d been trying to call you for two days. Two days and he hadn’t seen you, and quite frankly Lucifer was beginning to worry.

“She’s fine. For a human she’s surprisingly strong.” Maze mused, but it didn’t nothing to lessen his worries.

“Her apartment was empty Maze.” He said, worry laced his tone.

“Maybe she moved elsewhere, that place was really expensive.”

Lucifer shook his head and stood up, grabbing his blazer and downing his drink.

“I’m going to see the Detective.”

Before she couldn’t stop him, Lucifer was gone. In his car and breaking every speed limit known to man as he came to a halt in front of the building.

Lucifer walked quickly through the precinct, one thing on his mind. He didn’t speak to the officers who talked to him, he walked straight up to the crowd of officers who were watching the news, grabbed Chloe’s arm and dragged her to the side.

“What’s gotten into you?” She hissed, glancing back at the TV.

“Where is she?”

Chloe turned to him now, giving him her full attention.

“(Y/N), sh…she’s gone Detective. All her stuff, everything. I can’t find her.”

She sighed sadly and took his arm. Bringing him to the TV where he turned his attention to the news.

“There.” Was all Chloe said.

Lucifers eyes widened, it was you, standing on a tall building. A grin on your face as the wind blew your hair all over the place. There was a few people behind you, and there was a man next to you.

“Wha… detective what is she doing?” He panicked.

Before Chloe could explain he took one look at the building as the camera zoomed out and sprinted away. Ignoring Chloe and Dan shouting for him to come back. He ran past Maze, who spun right around and ran after him, his only thought was on you and if you had gone mad.

He was just about to speed off before Chloe and Dan stopped him.

“I need to get to her! She’s going to kill her self!” He yelled.

“Lucifer! They do it all the time, she jumps of the building all the time!”

His face twisted into confusion. Dan wordlessly pulled up a video and shown it to him, and just like they said, you jumped. But a flying metal suit covered you and you shot right back up.

“I don’t understand…”

“It’s how (Y/N) and Tony Stark show their trust in each other. They do loads of other ridiculously dangerous things too. The news media’s love recording it.” Dan shrugged.

Lucifer sat, lost in thought. So that’s where you went? He felt a touch of something unfamiliar in his heart, like, a crushing feeling and a slightly hatred to this Tony Stark even though he’d never met him.

“Detective… what’s wrong with me? I don’t know this feeling.” He muttered taking his hands of the wheel
